Tacos were delicious! I ordered two birria tacos with consome. It came with onion, cilantro, lime, and a red hot sauce. The sauce was pretty spicy but so delicious! The tacos were hot, flavorful, and juicy. I got them on a hard shell tortilla and the crunchiness was amazing. I also ordered a large horchata, and unfortunately it was too grainy/floury. My boyfriend ordered a carne asada torta that was seasoned well and the meat was tender and savory. They took about 15 minutes to give us our food and there was probably like one other person there. Definitely gives that authentic Mexican restaurant vibe. Giving this 3 stars and not 4 because the tacos messed up my stomach (most likely from all the grease), but other than that good flavor, might come back here again. read more

The food was very good and we thought it was very authentic considering other Mexican places in the area! Service was good, very personable, we had questions about the menu Lorenzo explain very well! Prices were somewhat cheaper than other places in the county! Had different meats which my husband tried and were excellent! The new owner own 4 other restaurants in MKE area and this is the 5th with 2 Food Trucks servicing the area and beyond. They were in Oshkosh the entire weekend at several events!! Wish them the best as we need restaurants like this in the area! I have worked in restaurants and bars, managed both so I am very critical and like to see good food, good management and GOOD service so I will give a review good or bad. Good is always the best of course but bad criticism can be helpful and actually be of help to the establishment to improve the issue. So ran into this place by accident and I'm so glad. I ordered the tacos de tripa dorado "crunchy fried intestine taco" and man by far the best texture and taste I have had anywhere! The smaller street tacos I liked and went back a second time for same order but with home made tacos and they also were great! Well first I was in Riverside County and I drove to Hemet and Was looking for a Place to eat so I came to this Restaurant which I was Craving Mexican Food so this is what I decide to order from this Restaurant !! I got a Carney Asada Burrito with the Special they had which is Three Street Tacos with Rice and Beans . Well also it came with a free drink which I got the Pineapple Drink which was not bad at all . Next as I was eating my Carney Asada Burrito I notice it was a little different then the others it was bigger then normal Carney Asada Burritos but it tasted pretty good !! There Street Tacos were alright also . But the service here is not bad but location is kind of far !! Pros- variety of meats, nice staff, good selection of salsa, seemed clean overall, prices were competitive, horchata was thick and creamy (maybe a little too thick. But I prefer it this way, instead of watered down horchata that lacks flavor). Cons- I'm not sure if the "handmade corn tortillas" were worth the extra money. In the end I paid $8.12 for two handmade corn tortilla tacos (Birria) and 1 medium horchata. That's a little steep in my opinion. I'll return, but stick to the cheaper tacos. Those are more my preferred price range. The tortillas weren't worth the extra cost. It's in an accessible area and food was good overall. Birria came with some extra juice to remoisten it. I have been here 4 times now & I can say the quality of their food is exceptional. Its the most authentic Mexican food establishment in Hemet. I can sit & eat & feel like I am on the coast in Baja! There are other restaurants I haven't tried but so far El Toro is number 1! UPDATE: So I am eating here again when I noticed one of the ladies in the back taking out water in a bucket. So based off of the reviews, I decided to pay this place a visit. Hubby and I are big fans of tacos, but since moving out here, the few taco stands we did try was just subpar. Walking in, I was was greeted by the cashier: she was very kind! I ordered some tacos, a burrito, and a chicken quesadilla. Everything was freshly made in front of me. It reminded me of another taco place we used to visit while we lived in Gardena. After my food was cooked and bagged, I decided to order a medium horchata right before I walked out. I mean, that colossal jug/dispenser was just calling my name, so I felt obligated to try it. This was probably the best horchata I've ever tasted! I drank most of it on my drive back home. When I got home, I ate my chicken quesadilla and chicken taco. I must say, it was very delicious! I thought the quesadilla was kinda small, but that, along with my drink and taco, had me quite full. The taco was delicious as well! It was not double-shelled, so it did kinda fall apart, but that didn't stop me from scraping it up with my fingers haha! I'll definitely be returning here. I like the adobada tacos with handmade tortillas . Tried the " Quesobirrias Doradas" with consomé and they were really really good . I've tried them at several places and this is one of the top places since they tortilla is crunchy it makes them so much better. The al pastor burrito is also very big and delicious . The salsas are full of flavor and they have plenty of aguas frescas to pick from that are very delicious . We came to this place because it looked busy. This place is clean and the cashier was very friendly. Their menu isn't that big but has the basics. We decided to go with a carne asada burrito for $8.99. It comes with meatn rice, beans, pico de gallo, and cheese. No guacamole.. Strange because they make it very different than in San Diego. My husband elected not to add the pico de gallo or the rice. I wanted to taste it the way it said. It took a half an hour to receive our food from 2:30 to approx 3:05. I asked for the bathroom key that had a copper bar attached to it. I asked her if it was safe because the bathroom is outside and in the back. This place is next to a sketchy homeless park. She said she has been here for two years and has never had a problem. After coming back in, I went to the salsa bar which was pretty decent. I selected the avacado salsa and my husband chose the one that said "Hot". The burritos were just ok. I did eat all of it because I was starving! I am not a fan of rice and beans inside a carne asada burrito, especially at that price. The salsa was great though! read more
