Went here on my son's recommendation, and it was a good one! The setup is similar to Chipotle, with a pick-as-you-go kitchen where you tell them exactly what you want while watching them make your food. One major difference though: this is authentic Mexican food. We paid about $50 for two burritos, chips, and two large aguas frescas. Honestly, we could have split one meal. The amount is easily enough for two meals. They definitely do not skimp on the meat. I had the carnitas, and my son had carne asada and shrimp, chips, a strawberry lemon & a pineapple orange agua fresca I forgot to ask for cheese until after they had wrapped my burrito, and they gave me a whole container of it. I opened my burrito back up to add the cheese and figured I might as well add the salsa while I was at it. Perfect additions (in my opinion. Put it what you like) Once we hit the halfway point, my son wisely wrapped up the rest of his burrito to take home. Since I was headed straight to the airport and didn't want to carry mine, I decided to power through. Mistake. I made it maybe another quarter of the way before I had to admit defeat. I also couldn't finish my strawberry-lemon agua fresca, and since I knew I couldn't take it through airport security, my son went home with two delicious, practically full aguas frescas. You could tell this was a good local spot. We arrived just before the lunch rush, and soon groups of people started coming in wearing construction gear, scrubs, and other work attire. Ordered TODAY via Uber Eats and I was missing grilled onions and cilantro . (Main toppings for a street tacos) Without toppings tacos are just not the same. I called in , expressed my concern and they said they will fix it. Went in the establishment hours later and three ppl couldn't get it right with "good service" they made seem like I'm under cutting them?! In fact I payed 22 dollars for taco plate missing the main toppings for my tacos. And they couldn't even apologize and help . They just said no. I stopped by Taqueria 2 Potrillos last night and honestly, the food itself was really good. I ordered the 3-taco plate with asada, birria, and carnitas, along with an al pastor burrito. They were also very generous with the grilled onions and jalapeños, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, almost immediately after taking a few bites of the burrito, I had to make a very urgent run to the bathroom and ended up with pretty bad diarrhea. I obviously can't say for certain that it was the food, but I did wonder if it could have been the al pastor, especially since some of the meat appeared to have been sitting out on the grill. I also couldn't fully enjoy my burrito because there was **a LOT of fat in the meat**--almost every bite had a piece of fat that I had to remove. They definitely need to be more mindful of that when preparing the meat. Spacious, clean, and relaxed. It even smelled like Fabuloso (which I love), so you could tell they take cleanliness seriously. Service, however, could use some improvement. There was no greeting when we walked in, and the gentleman taking our order seemed a bit short with us. There also seemed to be some miscommunication between him and the lady at the register (though she was very friendly). We decided to take our food to go. The carne breakfast burrito was pretty good! The tortilla was fresh, and the cheese inside was delicious--but the carne itself was a bit rubbery. Overall, $26 for two breakfast burritos felt a little overpriced for what we got. This restaurant was definitely clean and everyone appeared to be on top of the cleaning and the making of the food. (Asada, al pastor, fish, shrimp, buche (the buche wasn't chewy nor crunchy just right) and birria tacos). Visited this place while looking to go next door to a different restaurant, saw so many happy customers walking out of this restaurant so had to change my direction and go to this restaurant. So glad I did! This was amazing! I had the asada, al pastor, and lenfua tacos and all had good flavor and had good portions! The tortillas are homemade and being made as you order so very fresh tacos. The service was fantastic and welcoming and very inviting. I hope everyone who worked last night on 8/30/26 got laid after they closed because the food was soooo delicious oh my god. I first got the birria taco plate that comes with 3 soft tacos and a small side of rice and beans with a side order of consome. I did not expect the cup of consome to be that big and as a result I poured it alllllll over my plate. after every bite I took from the tacos, I poured a little more. I mixed it in my rice and beans and I still had some left over so I went back up to order 3 more birria tacos... and a side of rice to finish off their yummy consome. their birria so gas, just trust me and order a few birria tacos you will love it even without the side of consome it's still so flavorful and juicy. they also have a side station next to the register with diced onions, cilantro, guacamole sauce, two other sauces, lemons, etc. the guacamole sauce was also exceptional. god bless everyone who worked last night. Delicious tacos lots of flavor and I appreciate the hand made tortillas but can you get better at serving them They're crammed into this little container and all those delicious juices come out and gets the tortilla very soggy and makes it hard to grab with your hands and you end up eating them with a fork which is okay too but a taco is meant to pick up and scarf besides that, this place is clean friendly and a very simple México style ambience they try to move the line along but I think the service line is out of sync with the flow of service. Okay, sadly I have to rate this business 4 stars and not because they don't serve good food!! They actually serve amazing food, portion size (based on my husband) too small. My point of view size portions were decent, but price wise a little higher for proportions. My reason for 4 is based on the way they take orders and process the orders-- over complicated for no reason. You place order where you also wait to receive your food, then like a cafeteria style head down toward the cashier in order to pay and add on any drinks or additional items like chips and guac. Anyways, yes they offer an option to "not wait in line and order online". My problem was the price difference between ordering online vs in person- they charge more to order online even if you are in the building? Weird, can't seem to understand why they charge more but it was "worth waiting and saving",if you ask me! Only one lady was able to take orders although they had a woman 3 other men just sort of standing around, some cooking or cutting. But the organization and system should be changed, designed to accommodate customers a lot better. Another thing I think it should be looked into why they over price customers who order online. I used to LOVE this place, literally have spent hundreds at this establishment! Unfortunately, they will never see a dime out of me after today. I'm standing in line waiting to order my food, the wait is pretty long, but I'm used to it and don't mind. When it comes time to order, one of the ladies skipped over me and took the person next to me order. After saying, excuse me about 3 to 4 times, No one in the back seems to hear me (which I find extremely hard to believe) especially because there are plenty of people back there. Been looking forward to having a Taqueria 2 Portrillos in Rancho. I used to live in Corona and would go to that location all the time. Food is always fresh and they don't go cheap on the meat and always provide enough that you don't feel cheated. Agua Frescas are bomb and food is bomb. Only thing they need to work on is the Salsa. It's pretty lackluster, red isn't spicy, green is salty, and avocado salsa is lacking flavor as well. If they can figure out their salsa game they would be AMAZING. Regardless, I'll be back maybe with my own salsas tho lol read more

We were not impressed. First, it does look nice on the inside. Beautiful wooden tables. Then we go to order I got the taco plate and my husband orders a carne asada burrito. You ask him if he wants extra cheese and guacamole and he said yes to that and no to onion and cilantro. He didn't realize you were up charging him. Next you start making our food. Well your carnitas is way too oily and in my taco plate just went to the other tacos making the tortilla fall apart. The meat is tender but no flavor. Your carne asada is tender but again no flavor. The green salsa adds the flavor. Problem is when we got home to eat the burrito had leaked all over in the bag so I got my husband a plate so he could put it on something clean. He cut burrito in half and saw you gave him a carnitas burrito not carne asada. My husband doesn't like carnitas. So for basically paying $30.00 for a dinner my husband doesn't want to eat and everything soaked and soggy in carnitas oil is a big pass. read more

I was looking for a spot to have taco Tuesday, and my friend recommended this place. This is a new location, located in the Stater Brothers Plaza on Haven and fourth Street. Once you walk into the restaurant, it is very spacious and open with lots of seating. They also have patio seating. The area to place your order kind of gets confusing because when I walked in, I automatically went to the cash register, but don't be mistaken because you order on the other side by all the glass windows. There are multiple open windows and people taking your order there. You will see the order sign right by the big menu that is shown above. I ordered the 5 taco special that they had for taco Tuesday. I got two Carne Asada, two Birria, and one al Pastor. I also ordered chips and guacamole. And my friend ordered Menudo and two tacos. When you get to the cash register, you can see all the different types of drinks they have. Once you pay, there is a little salsa bar to your left that has three different types of salsas as well as onion, cilantro, and lemons for your food. The tacos were delicious. In my opinion, they are comparable to some of the tacos. I have tried in LA. My friend enjoyed the Menudo as it was nice and hot when he started eating it and the Menudo comes with a side of tortillas. We were both surprised by the chips. They were round and very light upon eating with the guacamole. It wasn't too salty, but had grape flavored to it. I would definitely come back and try the other food items they have to offer. Costumer service is really bad here, especially with the Line Cook Pedro. He is rude and very dismissive. The way he speaks to customers is very unprofessional. Meat seems old and dry now. What happened? The line cooks should worry about giving better customer services rather than checking out every female that's ordering. I went the day after they just opened at 10am and ordered tripas. I asked for it crispy and noticed how flabby and pale they looked coming out of the hotel pan. They were on the grill for maybe a couple minutes max. They still looked too soft and just crisped on some parts. I tried eating it and unfortunately I couldn't. It was too hard to chew through because of how soft and rubbery it was and the inside part that got pushed out from me trying to chew was not pleasant because of how long the pieces were. I decided to go later that night for dinner around 9:30 pm and thought to myself if I see it like that again I'm going to ask for it to be on the grill longer. That second time, it was already cooked way more coming out of the hotel pan. They were browned and the pieces were smaller. I still asked for it extra crispy just in case and he cooked it on the grill in less time than in the morning. I tasted a piece by itself and it was exactly what I wanted. Crispy and delicious. So I guess that's just something to look out for if you order the tripas unless you prefer it soft. Besides that, their tacos and plates are reasonably priced for this area. The tortillas are tasty and mulitas with them are amazing. I'm a big fan of Taqueria 2 potrillos since I grew up in MoVal. Actually, the one in MoVal is the first time I ever tried a lot of the other meats like tripas, cabeza, buche, and lengua and why it's normally my go to meat choices now. I was super excited to have one open up near me now since there aren't many places that specialize in tacos on this side of Rancho/Ontario.
