Im a taco street girl, that will get tacos from a street stand to not go to restaurants. When I crave tacos I go to tacos de gavilán to ease the craving until it's the weekend. I'm not that fond of it . I was passing by and saw this place and gave it a try . I'm glad I did. As I walked, the ambiance was perfect. The music playing was oldies Mexican music. The environment was extremely spotless. It gives a very elegant atmosphere if looking for a little cute out nice tacos date or in general. When you order it's a style of " yogurt land" you order your food and see it how it's made and preceding to follow the line and pay at the end. I ordered 2 muletas de cabeza . Y agua fresca. The food taste so good .meat was soft and had flavor ( yes the waters a freshly made) Then at the end they have the slides. For what I ordered I paid 17 bucks, might say it's pricey but let's be realistic everything is going up so I don't think it was that much. For what is going on in the world. read more

I was craving street tacos, but due to the recent crackdown on street vendors, I stopped at Potrillos for lengua tacos. Like most food places nowadays, they were a little overpriced. I was; however, surprised by the amount of meat that was in the tacos. The tacos were packed with lengua. Sadly, the lengua was flavorless. No amount of salsa and toppings helped with the flavoring. I just left this establishment and had a very unpleasant experience. The area where they prepare food was dirty and had food everywhere. I overlooked it as it's Sunday afternoon and maybe they had a rush. I was getting ready to pay for my food, the cashier took my takeout box and asked me to confirm my order. After I did, she opened the container and opened the box with her bare hands, the same hands she had just been using to handle money. This was extremely unsanitary and honestly shocking to witness. Basic food safety and hygiene should never be overlooked, and this completely turned me off from eating my meal. When I asked what was the purpose of asking me to confirm the order if she was just going to play over my food the cashier got an attitude. Very disappointing experience. I placed an online order expecting it to be ready when I arrived, but that wasn't the case. The cashier let the cook know I was there, yet over 10 minutes went by and he still hadn't even started preparing my order. Instead, he was standing around chatting and laughing with female employee while the restaurant was completely empty. There was no excuse for that level of poor service. To make matters worse, the food was just as disappointing. The meat tasted old and far from fresh, and the bread for my torta was stale. After waiting longer than I should have for an online order, I expected much better quality. This experience was completely unacceptable. It honestly makes me wonder if anyone there cares about the business or the customers. I won't be coming back, and I definitely can't recommend this place based on my experience. We just happen to be driving through Rialto and seen this taqueria. The service was excellent. This is my second time passing through and the same manager and both times I needed a special request which had nothing to do with the restaurant and everything to do with me being super picky and he was so so friendly. Restaurant Klien atmosphere was nice and I wanna go every time. I drive through Rialto now! There was one we go to in Ontario that we frequent, but I really like the service of the Rialto one. She charged me 2 items extra and when I went back she only refunded me one item, saying her system said only one item was charged extra. Sooo good! I love the three taco plate. The beans and rice are delish - especially with the yellow pepper and grilled onions. Highly recommend to anyone looking for some good tacos. The Al Pastor is my favorite meat there. Came here 9/5/24 midday. It's 111 degrees outside and it seems to be the same temp inside too. Place was empty. We asked to turn on the air conditioner (AC) and they said they couldn't because only the owner can and he's in Mexico. Poor workers slaving behind the grill!! What kind of establishment doesn't turn on AC and wants to charge $12 for 3 tacos. I saw another review 1 year ago saying the same thing, the owner responded "will try to do better" but I guess not. Food wise-- nothing special. I appreciate the sauce bar. Drinks were tasty. I'm surprised they don't sell enchiladas here. They have everything else. I was sweating throughout the meal. Horrible customer service! Cold food! I was very excited to eat these tacos for the first time because my husband always eats these tacos every time we comes to Rialto to visit my family . Unfortunately experience from start to finish was horrible. I get there to order and the guy helping me starts taking my order speaking behind two people working on the skillet grill. So I'm there speaking very loud and moving around so the guy helping me can hear me and speak to me if needed. Then starts making my taco order and I was surprise he didn't bother to read back to us our order to make sure it was right. Then the middle of my taco order he walks away and starts to help the people in front us. So I was so confuse and then I told him we are still missing tacos and sope. He tells me that they'll give them to me up there. Before I can ask him where is up there, he just walks away. I was so confuse and angry with his response. I notice there were grill onions and jalapeños behind the counter. I had to waited until someone walked to ask for grill onions and jalapeños instead offering us some. We are still waiting for our half of our food so we continue to move forward in line because we have other costumers of yours waiting behind us. Then we get to your water station and the girl tells me you want any of these waters in this cup. I ask her do you guys have any others besides that cup size. Straight up ignores my question and she asked the same question again. So just order my waters because I'm already very angry and irritated with your staff regarding customer service there. I get to the register and the girl is asking me what I order in these boxes because she couldn't read the writing on the food boxes. Who decided to put a skillet grill in front of the ordering area. Especially if you're going have multiple workers working in front of skillet how in the world are you able to talk to your customers behind the workers that are making food in that skillet grill. Then your holes that you have to give your food to the customer is super tiny and inefficient. The guy that helped me forcefully squished two boxes through that tiny hole. The placement of the water is horrible especially whoever serving is pretty short. I noticed that she almost dipped her hand inside those waters twice because she was having difficulty serving that water. - third issue: I notice that your Taqueria has so many items available it's bit overwhelming at times. Customer service is so bad here. They say they make their tortillas fresh to order not true. We ordered our food 1 mulita and 9 tacos 2 aguas frescas and a bag of buñuelos. When we arrived the place looks really nice inside very clean we went to order and we stood at the ordering spot for 5 min before being helped mind you the staff was busy talking the woman where working refilling the aguas but the guys were just standing there talking. I've been to this location twice and the both times have been a disappointment. Over priced and the quality just isn't there. The Al pastor was kind of dry and lacked flavor. You need to add salsa to make it taste decent. I got the Al pastor burrito and they try to make it look big and put way too much rice and beans. You can tell there is no love put into preparing the food. I gave two stars because they have good drinks. There was also a roach in the restroom . It may be a water roach but , I didn't want to see that right before eating I won't be returning for the food, expensive for what you get. Tacos are made with homemade corn tortillas, I've had carne asada, chicken , buche and al pastor and all meats were really good ( my fav is buche) Salsas are pretty good too, I personally like the red sauce just because it's a lil bit more spicier than the green . And if you love hot like me you can also ask for chiles toreados and onions , the first order is free but there will be a charge for any additional orders after that. read more

We went tonight for the first time to eat dinner. My husband asked the cashier Reyna for fresh salsa because the salsa bar was messy and the spoons were inside the salsas but she refused to give him some until another worker gave us some new in packages. Reyna was extremely rude with us and got mad at us when we dropped our trash in the trash cans after she took out the trash but we were just cleaning our mess. Dos potrillos used to be our go to, and I'm not one to complain but until we received horrible service from the manager Yolanda. We won't be coming back. We made our order online first thing in the morning to be picked up at 9:20, showed up 10-15 mins later and she did not want to admit she gave the order out to the wrong person & kept claiming we ordered through DoorDash when we used their site directly which shows they are using DD as their checkout method and she figured it was automatically meant to be delivered when I had my receipt and specifically said takeout/pickup. Please train your managers to know how to use their online order system because even her cashier knew she was wrong but didn't want to admit it to her manager. I tried to be patient and explain to her as I have worked with fast food before but left with me with no resolution of the problem after almost an hour of back and forth had to dispute my order with the bank. If you order please call and pay at the register, save yourself the hassle!!! Because apparently the customer is never right here. 1. Atmosphere- we walked in and immediately noticed it was really hot inside. Not very comfortable eating when its over 100 outside and there's not sufficient cooling inside the building. 2. Staff seemed pleasant- one wiped down our table before we got our food and another made small talk as she walked by cleaning her area. 3. Food was pretty good, my husband says he remembers their tacos being bigger. However I feel as if they were a good enough size, not particularly skimpy in my opinion. 4. The restrooms were clean and smelled like fabuloso, which was good. 5. The line and ordering process does take quite a while so be prepared to wait a few minutes. THE SCOOP: Beautifully decorated cantina-style establishment with vast menu options and an array of delicious Agua Frescas (think "casual date night" vibes). Unfortunately priced too high for mediocre quality/bland flavors. THE DEETS: Been hunting for a good local Mexican food joint for some time and 2 Portrillos looked promising. Our first visit (on a Sunday afternoon) left us hopeful, as all of the food seemed pretty well prepared (nothing spectacular, but adequate) and the salsa and agua frescas were on-point. The second visit (weeknight) however, really let us down and hijacked our expectations. What they call a "chicken Papusa" was a sham --chunks of dry chicken and shredded cheese on a folded flour tortilla (in other words, NOT a papusa). The Birria burrito was dry and bland (barely salvaged by the salsa that we slathered on it) --have they never heard of consommé?-- and guacamole, while tasty, was quite overpriced for the small portion size. We spent a lot of money on both meals --and would have gladly continued to-- if the food had been up to par. BOTTOMLINE: Nice cantina ambiance. Food quality is a bit too hit or miss for the prices they're asking. Sadly, we won't be returning. read more

This place is not for the faint of heart, anyone with anxiety, or people with very little to no patience. Let's get the important things out of the way. The food was fine, not bad, not great. It's the gimmick that I think attracts a lot of people. The inside is chaotic, not sure if that's the way it's intended. Like an open air market or mercado for any those of us from an LATAM country. To order you get in a line ala Chipotle (not comparing the food, just the set up). Depending on what you order something's are completed before others. This means that you'll have to wait with half of your food in hand while they finish up the rest of your order. Needless to say this means that your asada tacos will probably be cold by the time your shrimp tacos are handed over. After my first visit I knew I wasn't a fan and wouldn't come back. However, my brother in law came to visit and when we asked where he'd like to eat he suggested this place. There's a location out in Ontario where he lives and he likes it. Trying to be a good host I indulged him but had the brilliant idea of placing an online order and this way I'd avoid all the drama of my previous visit. Order is placed and I get a notification giving me an estimated time. I then get another notification saying the order will be ready in 10 minutes. I leave my house because it'll take me 10 minutes to drive here. I arrive and walk to the counter. I say I'm here to pick up an online order, and to my surprise the lady at the register says they'll start working on your order shortly. Not only was it not ready. They hadn't even started working on it yet. So, I had to wait around for an additional 15 minutes while they got everything done. The inefficiency of this place kills me. To top it off they are one of these places that mix the cilantro and onion together. Why to taquerias keep thinking this is a good idea? Some people don't like cilantro but would like onion. Some people don't like onion but would like cilantro. Why are you taking away the option by combining both. Go once if you're curious and if you enjoy it more power to you. However there are much better options in the area. read more

I just had lunch here with my Dad and was surprised at how good the food was! On the outside the restaurant looks relatively simple, but inside are beautiful hard wood tables/ chairs and decorative ceiling lamps. I got the al pastor and lengua tacos and they were suuuuper good. The tortillas had a great texture, the al pastor had tons of flavor and a nice crisp to it on the edges. The lengua was super tender and had good flavor as well. The salsas were great and tasted very fresh. I'm a critic when it comes to horchata but the one at this place was awesome! The food itself is a bit pricey (my dad and I ordered 7 tacos and 2 large drinks, totaling $35), but I would say the food is worth it! We were fourth in line and it took them about 30 minutes to take our order, considering there were 5 employees and an established RESTAURANT. There's no reason why it should tale this long to make burritos or tacos. The taco stands on the street operate with almost no staff and a few tables and get you in and out quickly. The horchata was disgustingly sweet and mixed in with a bunch of powdered horchata. Every sip I took tasted like I had flour in my mouth. I did not finish it and when I dumped it down the drain there was all the powder/sugar at the bottom of the cup. This place has potential but missing key pieces to make it a better experience. They use yellow lemons instead of green limes!!! How weird is that??? Not authentically Mexican. Like it's not that expensive to get green limes. You're not giving away free avocados lol it's only limes chill. Also the salsa containers are weird and extremely cold. They need to fix that. Moderately priced, food was decent 6/10. I said no I said I beans in the beginning, sorry I'm little hard of hearing, you don't yell at customers like that, and top it off I don't speak Spanish so he started in Spanish and I said I don't speak Spanish sorry, there came the attitude...other then that food was good. Ordered takeout through DoorDash on Friday night, (8/18), a couple food items, drinks, and a flan for dessert. Food was fine, had eaten here before. Normally don't order take out and usually go in but my husband wasn't in the mood to drive out. Ate the food and then dessert time! Love having a little mold on my flan... yes there was mold on my flan. Husband reported it to DoorDash, got a refund for the flan but, man what a disappointing experience. That's why it's important to label all food items with dates, especially if they are items with expectation dates, and please rotate your inventory! Use FIFO. This is a simple problem with easy solutions if they were on top of food safety. Was not expecting moldy food from such a new place. What a disappointment. All these smooth brained reviews for this gem of a restaurant. The food is incredible. Service is is very good. Ambiance is a clean restaurant ambiance and I love the unique lamp fixtures. Now on to the food. I come here for the cabeza tacos. They are so good. The condiments are always clean and fresh. In my opinion, the chicken tacos, the Carne Sada tacos and alas or tacos you can find the same quality elsewhere . But nothing beats their Cabeza tacos. So damn good.
