I'm picky with my breakfast tacos and most of the places in Alamo ranch have been missing the mark, Taqueria Arandas hit it with the chorizo and egg! Taqueria Arandas is a great lunch spot. I enjoyed the Super Nachos and a Vamperito Margarita. I will say that the chips used for my nachos were much better than the chips and salsa brought to the table as you sat down. Service was excellent, we never waited for a thing. The location is in a shopping center, the dining area is bright and clean. There wasn't too much noise and the music was at a volume you could still hear conversation. Service was a 10 staff were knowledgeable and quick , my plate was ready and another server saw it was ready and brought it to me rite then. We like eggs cooked Med an theirs were perfect. Please do not go to this location. Employees and cooks are very irresponsible and rude to the clientele. I ordered a chalupa plate for $7.99 and I got tostadas with been and cheese. This is my second time ordering soup from this place and the restaurant got my order wrong this round. I ordered the Caldo de Pollo since I tried the Caldo de Res last time. Well, I got the beef soup again. Which is a bummer becs I didn't care for it the first time. Meat quality so very poor, fatty, large piece of bone that only takes up the space in your bowl. Would like to dine in next time and try something else. Corn tortillas appear to be handmade but I did not care for them at all. Smell of the corn masa is strong and off-putting. Very thick as pillowy, if you like that. Hoping they redeem themselves to me at my next visit. We need good, authentic Mexican food here in my area of San Antonio. And although that statement usually offends other TX locals, it's true. "Tex-Mex" is not authentic Mexican grub and shouldn't be confused with the latter. And there's NOTHING with that. Let me start off by saying, this place gives me nostalgia. I used to live closer to the original location on Military but since I moved out towards Alamo Ranch, this location is closer. The atmosphere is great, it's always VERY clean, they have TV's with their specials and you are always greeted. You seat yourself and the waiters come to you. The staff are always very friendly and they even give you opinions on what they feel is their favorite choice on the menu, which I have asked before. When receiving my food it is always super hot and flavorful! The enchiladas are always fresh and the tacos are always fresh. My go to is the quesadilla plate with corn tortillas substitution! Trust me you will NOT be disappointed. If I could, I would give them zero stars for their customer service. Rude. Disrespectful. First time I went through the drive-through I ordered a bacon and egg taco not mixed. My order was incorrect so I went inside to get my taco fixed. I assumed at no charge because it was their fault. They wanted to charge me for their mistake not hearing me clearly in the drive-through order. I told him I was not going to pay extra for their mistake. I went back again through the drive-through ordered the same taco, bacon, and egg not mixed. At the window I asked the very rude lady if my taco was not mixed, she said yes, and very ugly snatched the receipt out of my hand with force. She needs to work on customer service if they want to keep their customers coming back to their restaurant. You don't treat your customers rude and disrespectful. We will never go back to that restaurant or any of their chain restaurants ever again because of the rudeness and the disrespect that we were treated with. read more

Went for the first time this weekend. We got a little bit of everything from the breakfast menu. Tacos had a lot of food in them. Tortillas(flour) tasted good but I wasn't expecting the chilaquiles to look like this. They didn't taste bad which was great but probably wouldn't order it again. Pancakes were huge bacon was a bit too crispy. It gets loud in the restaurant. Our server was okay she wasn't the friendliest but didn't really mind it was full when we went so maybe that's why. Rice n beans good but the tortillas were sooo hard it was like chewing on leather. The wait staff were nice. The blue Hawaiian was a little to sweet. I've been through the drive thru probably 7 times because it's usually fast, convenient and I am either on the way home because I'm tired or going somewhere in a hurry. They have gotten my order correct maybe 3 times and it's an easy order, just tacos, 4 of them. And at the window I tell them the order again and they agree. But when I get to my destination 2 of the tacos totally wrong. Sure I can call and complain then go back but I'm either too far or too tired. One more try and if it's not correct then I'm done.
