Love this restaurant been open several weeks already grand opening was 4 weeks ago. The last two times I've been here I treat myself to food here every Friday or Saturday. The last two times I've ordered tacos with everything on it. I love their chili relleno tacos when they're done right. The last couple times I've been there I been given a chili with cheese and that's it when I've asked for everything which includes your lettuce tomato onions and cheese. before ordering I make sure that they understand what I'm saying the young girls do their bilingual they work hard they're awesome. I want to start with I used to LOVE this place. So much in fact that I've ordered huge trays of asada and all of the toppings, tortillas, salsas, rice, and beans to go for several large functions. Here is why I now am only giving them 3 stars. The quality of food has slightly decreased since they first opened. My biggest issue is they nickel and dime you ESPECIALLY on to go orders. It's almost laughable. I've eaten here at least 20-30 times and it's gotten progressively more stingy. Last night we ordered to large meals to go and they gave us 1 small green salsa and 1 small red salsa....for two meals. One would think they would at least provide 1 red and 1 green per meal. If you ask for more, they charge you extra! They also only provided 6 corn tortillas for 2 huge meals that both come with tortillas. Most people double the shells so they don't fall apart and tear as you're trying to eat your taco. If you ask for more they charge! They also will not give you even a small chips and salsa with to go orders, even though when you eat there you get as much as you want for free. Finally... An upscale taco place on the west side of aurora! This place is a rare find in which the food is authentic, in a well appointed establishment, and with good bilingual service. Let's start with the food. I ordered tacos Mexicanos (de arracherra). They were flavorful, reasonably sized, with big chunks of steak. Unlike other places, these were not those mini tacos with thinly diced steak. The meat was good quality and non-greasy. Three tacos from this place were as filling as five tacos from other places in the area. The place is in a brand new building. It was clean, with nice furniture, and has a few pictures of aurora as a way to pay tribute to the city. Parking was fairly easy with space equivalent to their dine in capacity. The service was fast, courteous, and attentive. The prices were within the going rate for tacos in the area. For three adults and a child dining in, it was about $30. Overall, it was a nice place that I felt comfortable taking my wife and kids for a quick bite later in the evening. The only two suggestions are: 1. the place may want to consider a few grand opening signs out front that reads "now open." I live in the area and saw the construction, but was unsure when they were opening. Today, I just happened to notice a few people inside and decided to stop in. 2. To round out the taco experience, I hope in the future that they can add import beers (Corona, Dos Equis, Modelo, etc). Well done, Taqueria Aurora! Will definitely stop in again soon! read more

These are not authentic cheese nachos. I have had better at the movie theatre. They clearly took store bought corn tortilla chips out of a bag and poured hot cheese out of a can on them an charged me $4.99. Very disappointing. The prices are a bit high, but according to my boyfriend they have the best asada tacos in the area. In his words, the ingredients tasted fresh. I was very pleased by the modern interior as well as the tech and various paying methods provided. In addition, the food was given to me in a timely fashion and I was content with the flavor. Very disappointed. My father has never had traditional Mexican food. I was excited to show him how good it is. Today at Taqueria Aurora I was put on hold for five minutes and nobody ever got back to me. So I live close so I just drove over there and the waitress was very friendly and very good. She's the reason I gave two stars. The food was dry and bland the tomatoes had core in them. The prices went up and the servings are smaller. We won't be going back. I know everybody is short of help but why raise prices and give smaller portions? Your customers are already upset because they have to wait so long. I'm going back to Arceo. read more

This is good Traditional Mexican food. I had the taco dinner and my only issue is that the meat was a bit too greasy. The bathroom was clean but no heat! The rice and beans were tasty. All in all a good dining experience. read more

The Place is clean inside but the portions are terrible and over priced. I ordered a torta Asada. It was all bread. Little lettuce 1 slice tomatoes, tiny bit of meat and a lot of beans. The torta looked like a cheeseburger size. Terrible for the price I paid. I will be going next door to get my food from now on. I ate here for the first time with my family and another family who had suggested this restaurant. We were very satisfied with the meal and with the prices. The service was wonderful and the staff was friendly. The portions were generous and the food tasted great. We will definitely be eating there again. My husband and I had an excellent dining experience at Taqueria Aurora on Saturday. It is family owned, a new modern building, good parking and it was very comfortable to dine in. I noticed large and small tables to accommodate families or groups of friends. We were greeted and seated immediately. The service was outstanding and I saw the owner checking in with every table. The Carnitas would delicious as well as the homemade guacamole. Their menu is a mix of authentic Mexican dishes and some dishes with a modern twist. We would highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They are open 7 days a week from morning through evening. We will be back soon! read more

Food was delicious, the service was awesome. Clean and organized with comfortable seating in a new building which is owned by the family! Aurora has many great Mexican restaurants to choose from, we rank this among the best! We were greeted by friendly staff the moment we walked in the door, we were asked throughout our meal if everything was to our liking and when we left we were introduced to the owners and asked to dine with them again. Long review! Unfortunately I'm unable to give this establishment any stars but it only allows you to post a review if you select at least a star but NO STARS! I went in there today on their opening day ordered my food and when the waitress brought it out to me it came with a HAIR. I informed her of it and offered to fix it bringing back the wrong order. I informed her of this AGAIN and at this point I couldn't eat knowing there was a HAIR in the first plate brought out to me and then it being replaced by whatever the kitchen felt like giving me cause they ran out of food. An older man working there comes to the table and didn't even have the common courtesy to introduce himself to me. He states that his HAIR is short so it's not his HAIR and for me not to worry I won't have to pay for my food. Now that's when I became extremely discussed with the restaurant, the audacity for an employee to become offended after they've made multiple mistakes, they should feel ashamed and embarrassed. Now if you made the mistake why would you expect a customer to pay for something they didn't get. Not only did they charge me wrong the cashier had an attitude when I brought this up to her attention. She basically said well you didn't get your food but I have to still charge you for something. I don't seem to understand why a place of business can not own up when a mistake is made and likes to make it seem it's the customers fault that you're lacking customer service. This will be another typical restaurant that will not last in Aurora. read more

It's unfortunate I am giving one star as I really wanted to like this place! The first week they opened, I tried the arrachera tacos. 2.25 each and hoped it was worth it. The meat was delicious. Tender, juicy, and flavorful. Fast forward a couple weeks later I have tried their 3 more times, each time leaving more disappointed then the time before. The meat is bland, burnt, very chewy even for arrachera. Turns out they cook a huge amount of meat before hand, so it's just sitting in a pm till someone orders it. It gets reheated on the grill, drying it out even more and burning it. Does not taste fresh at all. I would take your money somewhere else. Unless they change the way the prep their food, don't bother. Waitresses seem to not know what they're doing either, although it's a fairly new business. Just another taco restaurant to add to a huge lists of Mexican restaurants in Aurora. Nothing special, and expensive. read more
