I was starving when i got here. Nice and patient service. First time here so i had a few questions. I got the quesabirria order (4tacos), birria tacos (4 tacos) and 1 taco de asada, 2 pepino limon drinks= total 49.60. I dont know if i was supposed to get toppings but i did not get any. I was expecting cilantro, onion, etc. and the 4$ carne asada was skimpy and dire need of toppings. We took it to go and didnt check the bag. ‍The birria tacos were great even without the toppings. The juice was so flavorful. Plus, since we at home, we fixed them up with more toppings. Not a real difference between quesabirria and regular birria tacos. Quesabirria had a tiny bit of cheese. The drinks were delicious! Now i went on a Thursday and that 4$ taco was tiny! BUT apparently they have mon-Wednesday special of buy 1 get 1 free and if it had been 2$, it would have been reasonable. Passing through El Paso and stumbled across this little gem of a taqueria. As I came in I was greeted by Rene. Even though it was busy he took the time to explain it was taco Tuesday and he asked what I intended to get then he shared the special that would best fit my order. Service was a bit spotty because they completely messed up the order, but the food that did come out was still really good. The Al Pastor is off the charts. Delicious Quesabirria tacos. A little wetter than typical so very messy, but oh so flavorful. I chose flour tortillas. They were grilled nicely, but due to the very moist meat, the shells began to fall apart. The restaurant was as little warm, maybe to be expected when it's 105 degrees outside. I usually come to this restaurant pretty often but I have to say I've recently have been highly disappointed. My fiance and I are a bi-racial couple that likes to come here on the regular, and I've noticed a change in our service recently. The servers have been racially discriminating us purposely giving tables that get there after us food first. Today our server completely ignored our table. As we're waiting for our tacos to be served a hispanic couple walks in and sits at a table behind us. Mind you we had been waiting for a long time already, and within maybe 10 minutes of them sitting down they got their food. The couple had ordered the exact order that we did. So that just told me that they've purposely not given us our food. I even experienced a terrible attitude from a server when I took my mother in law to the restaurant as well. I asked for a lemonade with no tajin and the server completely ignored that and handed me a lemonade with tajin on top. When I asked her politely if I could please get another lemonade with no tajin on top, she proceeded to hand me a spoon and a paper boat and said to scoop it out myself. Mind you my fiance and mother and law are black. I simply can't accept this kind of behavior and disrespect. I'm honestly shocked because we seriously never used to get treated like this before but it has become a huge problem. I'm highly disappointed that one of our favorite spots in El Paso did this to us. As we were driving from Vegas back to Houston we needed to charge the Tesla and eat dinner. I believe this place closed 30 minutes after we arrived and I dislike being that person that comes even an hour before closing but my @$$ needed to eat some Birria Queso Tacos! We were immediately greeted with a smile and a welcome! I really wish I could remember the names of the host, server AND all of the other employees. The ambience was amazing! Definitely fit the atmosphere and vibe of the establishment. 2 dollar Estrella Jalisco cervezas with the food menu they have here?! Yes please! After we were greeted we were sat at a table by the server. We ordered the Birria Queso tacos, Carne Asada tacos, Al Pastor tacos, cerveza, and a classic margarita. EVERYTHING was fresh and delicious! I tore that Birria Queso tacos up in a heartbeat! The salsa and topping selections were abundant, fresh and flavorful. I usually come here on a regular basis and really enjoy the food as well as the service, but today that I went during the afternoon shift it was not the same as my server didn't approach our table anymore after handing over our drinks and we had to go up to the cashier and ask about our order that had been sitting in the delivery window for more than 20 minutes causing our food to be cold when brought to the table. I went on a Tuesday afternoon to try out the location that had been vacated by Chase the Taste West. I went to support them in their endeavors since they have several trucks at the Farmer's Market and I wished their actual physical location well. I try to be honest with my reviews and I'm sad to report that it was a really disappointing experience. They are super overpriced even for Taco Tuesday. Their deal is to just double the tacos from 4 to 8 tacos for $12 which comes out to be around $1.50 a taco. They only allow 2 meats excluding the birria tacos. I got asada and carnitas tacos. The meat was extremely gristly and chewy. It wasn't seasoned and I can see why they offer such an extensive salsa bar, it's to cover up the blandness of the actual tacos. They didn't even bother to cut up the avocado. The carnitas came with chunks of real grilled pineapples which are great, if the eyes had been cut out. Because they weren't cut correctly, I had to fish them out of the tacos and throw them away, alongside half of their mystery meat since the gristle and hard chunks of cartilage made it almost inedible. I ended up having to throw away 3 tacos and I never throw away food. The horchata was mostly ice and whipped cream, for their price, the agua fresca is a rip off. The service wasn't any better, the cooks were arguing in the back, the servers were just on their phones and the only customers there were friends or family. I love supporting local and wanted to give them a fair shot, but this experience was extremely overpriced and kinda disgusting food. With so many other great options around for Taco Tuesday, I don't think I'll be back. Amazing customer service. Their response to every ask from additional napkins to a salt shaker is met with "of course". First thing coming in, the vibe was good. Popular Latino music was playing and the setting seemed like a cool hip place. I was greeted right away and she answered my questions. She provided good old fashioned customer service. Ordered quesobirra tacos and a 6 pack of tacos. (Asada, Tripas,buche, pastor). I only waited about 10 mins and she handed them to me directly. Me and my wife both enjoyed the food. I would say the Quesabirria tacos were mid and we have had better. The birria seemed to be a bit bland. The Consome didn't seem to help it. The tacos were good though! I really thought the Asada and buche were great! The Horchata we got was ok as well, but I did dig the presentation with the whipped crème. Did think the Horchata was a bit pricy though. Overall, I'd definitely recommend to stop by! Service, food was good aside from my little nitpicks.
