    Quesabirria tacos

Delicious Quesabirria tacos. A little wetter than typical so very messy, but oh so flavorful. I chose flour tortillas. They were grilled nicely, but due to the very moist meat, the shells began to fall apart. The restaurant was as little warm, maybe to be expected when it's 105 degrees outside. Food was delicious, and I'd go back, especially if I was nearby, but I've had better. Service was great. Total for 4 tacos, drink, and 20% tip was $21, not too bad.

As we were driving from Vegas back to Houston we needed to charge the Tesla and eat dinner. I believe this place closed 30 minutes after we arrived and I dislike being that person that comes even an hour before closing but my @$$ needed to eat some Birria Queso Tacos! We were immediately greeted with a smile and a welcome! I really wish I could remember the names of the host, server AND all of the other employees. The ambience was amazing! Definitely fit the atmosphere and vibe of the establishment. 2 dollar Estrella Jalisco cervezas with the food menu they have here?! Yes please! After we were greeted we were sat at a table by the server. We ordered the Birria Queso tacos, Carne Asada tacos, Al Pastor tacos, cerveza, and a classic margarita. EVERYTHING was fresh and delicious! I tore that Birria Queso tacos up in a heartbeat! The salsa and topping selections were abundant, fresh and flavorful. This will forever be one of our stops when we travel through El Paso! Thank you everyone at this restaurant! We will be back soon!

I went on a Tuesday afternoon to try out the location that had been vacated by Chase the Taste West. I went to support them in their endeavors since they have several trucks at the Farmer's Market and I wished their actual physical location well. I try to be honest with my reviews and I'm sad to report that it was a really disappointing experience. They are super overpriced even for Taco Tuesday. Their deal is to just double the tacos from 4 to 8 tacos for $12 which comes out to be around $1.50 a taco. They only allow 2 meats excluding the birria tacos. I got asada and carnitas tacos. The meat was extremely gristly and chewy. It wasn't seasoned and I can see why they offer such an extensive salsa bar, it's to cover up the blandness of the actual tacos. They didn't even bother to cut up the avocado. The carnitas came with chunks of real grilled pineapples which are great, if the eyes had been cut out. Because they weren't cut correctly, I had to fish them out of the tacos and throw them away, alongside half of their mystery meat since the gristle and hard chunks of cartilage made it almost inedible. I ended up having to throw away 3 tacos and I never throw away food. The horchata was mostly ice and whipped cream, for their price, the agua fresca is a rip off. The service wasn't any better, the cooks were arguing in the back, the servers were just on their phones and the only customers there were friends or family. I love supporting local and wanted to give them a fair shot, but this experience was extremely overpriced and kinda disgusting food. With so many other great options around for Taco Tuesday, I don't think I'll be back. We ended up going to Pho & Rolls down the street to get decent food since we were still hungry. :( Taqueria Ay Cocula 5004 Desert Blvd N, El Paso, TX 79912 (915) 500-1672 https://maps.app.goo.gl/us9PMErDM3zZejsz8 Full review with pictures here: https://www.todoelpaso.com/2022/02/07/ay-yay-yay-cocula/

    Tripita and asada tacos

Tacos are good, came here many times In promo days and regular days, ; supported this business because is close to my house, and I love tacos , I am not picky so everything taste good for me , but they do not honor all you can eat they will ignore you until you leave Asada tacos 10/10 Tripita tacos 10/10 Buche tacos 8/10 Barbacoa 3/10 not real flavor and greasy to much condiment kind of disgusting Quesabirria 9/10 good birria tacos with cheese :) but very disappointed with the ALL YOU CAN IT promo on Wed , they tell you to order In 2 tacos increments (they are tiny), but they delay more and more every time you order, It happen many times in previous visits , but last time was the very last , they ignored us when new customers walked in , and put their orders in front , after 27 min waiting for two more tacos my wife and I decided to leave with mixed feelings , maybe if you pay the regular price they give you a better service, not sure Sometimes they let the tacos get cold in the kitchen window waiting for the server to bring to us , Was or last time after two and a half months of 4 days a week tacos here

Had multiple thousand Google reviews and they were all close to five stars. So I knew I had to check it out. It was super close to my hotel, so I popped in the car and found it without trouble. Trouble. Again, there is pretty limited parking so it's kind of hit and miss whether you'll find a spot or not. Fortunately, I did. When you walk up to the place, the building itself is pretty nondescript. They have a nice selection of outside seating, and your window to order is outside. Very nice lady at the counter gave me helpful suggestions and so I ordered three tacos and an amazing lime and cucumber fresca. Went in and sat down inside and was pleasantly surprised by the interior. It definitely had more of an upscale bar vibe to it than a Taco shop. The waiter that brought out my tacos told me that it turns into more of a nightclub after hours. I may have to go check that out. The tacos themselves were absolutely off the chain! The tortillas were blue corn and everything on it tasted so fresh and so wonderful. The carnitas was fantastic, the brisket Taco was to die for and the blackened shrimp Taco was one of the best I've ever had. Had. The flavors were so balanced and on point, it was one of the most satisfying taco experiences I have had!! I will probably hit this place up a couple more times before I leave El Paso. If you are in El Paso, you probably already know about this place. But I'm telling you what you cannot go wrong for tacos and that lime/ cucumber fresca! Bottom line? It's about 10 hours drive from Las Vegas to El Paso. And this Taco shop will give me a great reason to do a road trip anytime. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out!

The blue corn tortillas were amazing - I noticed they were 1/2 blue, 1/2 white but still delicious. Eating at the bar worked out well - the bartender helped us order and the tacos came out fast.

I bumped it up to four stars for the super friendly service and the excellent aguas frescas. We got there late, about an hour before closing and they were literally trying to get rid of the aguas for free. I guess they have to dump it if they don't use it all. It was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Portion sizes are good. The taco platter comes with six tacos! I had the flautas Chinampa which came with four beef flautas, beans, rice, and salad. I forgot, the taco platter even came with a baked potato. Prices were excellent. We had gone to McDonald's in the morning and spent more. They also cave us frijoles charros for free. Not sure if this was standard or if they were also trying to get rid of it. I would return for the service and the convenience, but if you're looking for life changing Mexican cuisine, it's not here. What you get is a good amount of decent food at a good price served by great people.

As I've explained to many of the locals there's a huge difference between New Mexico and Mexican food. I figured while I was in town visiting family for the holidays I'd check it out. Boy do I love a good quesadilla! It was a love at first bite! The cheese was just oh so right. It was heaven between two tortillas. I quickly moved in on the tacos. I added some of the cilantro, green salsa, lime, and onions. The salsa was a little spicy but I savored every bite! It was a quite a delight! I gotta hand it to these guys, they make some great food!
