The aguas frescas were on point. Bad bad experience with the al pastor which tasted like marinated chicken meat (do not recommend). I gave them a second chance. bad choice! Not only was the food bad,the service was worse. When a customer complains about something being wrong with their food, you don't question the integrity of your customers palette. A simple offering to replace the food or give you your money back seems like a fair answer, instead of rallying all the employees to ask if food tasted bad to them. I have been to this place once before and it was pretty good. My family was visiting and craving tacos so I told them about this place. What a disappointment!! The carne asada and buche was really really dry and had no taste. My brother ordered the quesadilla and wow was it gross.. there was no cheese and lots of onions!! Friendly service, helpful staff that gets your order right and goes the extra mile. Tasty authentic tacos, it's a small menu but everything is good. Quality is consistent, and the drinks are great. Agua fresca and chocolate milk is delicious. Try the tortas and quesadillas which are huge, delicious, and cheap. A nice touch is the pickled carrots and onions they serve which are better then most. When t's supposed to feed two people! I went back and they took FOREVER to replace it. People were coming in and they were attending them, even though I had been there first. I really hate to write this review because this used be my spot for Mexican food. I order 2 burrito and a large horchata. In one burrito I ask to switch out the cheese for the Mexican cheese first she said that she could do it, then finally said it was extra. it was a $1.00 extra, that was fine I get it. Now for the second burrito we wanted a 1/2 pastor and 1/2 shrimp. First She said no that she couldn't do it and then family said that she could but it was going to be extra. This place is for real as far as authentic Mexican food goes. The bionicos are tasty but what gets me going is the authentic Mexican cheeses used in their food. Everyone else uses Monterey jack. My favorite taco place. The taste is authentic and fresh. The service is friendly once in awhile slow but their food makes up for it. They also have fresh water based juices that are all natural No sugar added, I recommend the orange and pineapple juice. So refreshing! read more

So again, we came in on Tuesday for their taco special. As we walked in we observed as the cook placed two tortillas on the large flat plancha then grab a pen to take our order. Instead of washing her hands after handling a pen, she instead licked her finger, touched her face and place tortillas on the plancha to make our tacos! We walked out! My husband called and explained to the girl why we walked out and the disappointment it is when you see employees unsanitary practices! She agreed and was going to address the issues. My daughter ordered the taco plate, her plate was super paper thin, her watery beans were going right through the plate. There super cheap with there paper goods and utensils. This place is legit. We recently moved from Santa Ana and have been in search of a great taco place. We found El Flaco off of Tyler but it can sometimes can be a bit of a drive to get there. Taqueria Azteca is only like a 2 minute drive away! Birria and cabeza tacos were delicious. I did not care much for the al pastor. Torta Azteca was ok but it was a bit overpriced for the ingredients it had. I will definitely be back especially after seeing that they have 99 cent Taco Tuesday! Cash only! read more

Fresh fruit drinks -aguas fresca are yummy especially for the long hot summer days. Food though is over priced and mediocre.

I had driven by here plenty of times tempted to try this place since they have Taco Tuesday .99 tacos. I always hesitated since it's kind of a hole in the wall place. I stopped today and I'm glad I did. The tacos were really good and the horchata is delicious. All of their Aguas Frescas are freshly made, not those ready-mix type. Taco Tuesdays this is where I go about twice a month. It is best to call in your order ahead of time. It is CASH ONLY!!! I love their aguas frescas the agua de fruta is so good. The tacos are as authentic as so cal Mexican tacos are going to be. The meat is marinated well and a little greasy but it is yummy. No tacos in Riverside compare to tacos from Mexico so far but for 99 cents per taco on Tuesday this place is not bad at all. read more

I love to come and eat at this place with my husband. I really enjoy their Tripas tacos I have them fry them a little more and they taste great freshly made. If you carry out them by the time u get home they taste horribly. Their horchata is the bomb but my husband prefers diet coke which they do not have so we first go get his drink somewhere else before we arrive there and go to the ATM because the only take CASH ONLY.
