Asada was the most flavorful meat Quesadilla was great right about of meat / cheese ratio. Guac and salsas need some salt I suggest you ask for guac on the side that way if you don't like it more wont ruin the taco .

    Street tacos....

We don't live here but found this because we travel down south a lot. This place is so good--GREAT FIND!! My family has eaten Asada, Carnitas, Lengua, and Birria-All are good not dry. We get burritos, tacos and mulitas-DELICIOUS! Salsas are great-flavorful and hot & tasteful and mild. Sides of cucumber, radish, cebollitas, grilled jalapeños and BEANS! Need to pay in cash, can be some-what pricey but worth the taste!!!

Food was good but these people like to over charge. Nothing is set price. They like to judge how you look before charging you.

Best Tacos in town. Fast and Delicious. The agua de horchata was great. Tortillas are handmade and full of flavor.

Is it a little messy?Maybe with how aggressively I scarfed mine down, but I still walked away stain free. lol I ordered a double stack, and my only regret is not going for the triple, and maybe not ordering an extra burger. Don't skip on the fries, they're great. I'd also recommend getting some extra sauce on the side. The folks in the truck are very friendly, and obviously know what they're doing on the grill and in the fryer. I'm definitely looking forward to the next time I have their burgers again. I've had Sarap from their food truck in the past but this was my first time at their brick and mortar store location! The portion sizing was generous and each entree was tasty without being too fatty or oily. I ordered the plate with Bistek ($1.50 additional charge), Ginataang Sitaw & Kalabasa, White Rice and Pancit. My wife got the bowl with garlic rice and pork liempo and we shared two pork lumpia. We also got Buko Pandan drinks and Sago Gulaman and thought both drinks were generously sized. We all enjoyed our food and will def be back to try the Sisig! This place is by far one of the best Filipino food places I've had. What stands out is the tastiness without it feeling overly heavy/greasy/fatty. The customer service is great, the workers really make you feel welcomed and ask how you're enjoying the food. The ambiance is really nice. From the mural, to the decor, to the chairs it's intentionally designed to have that Filipino feel. The air conditioning was blasting and fans were on to make us feel as comfy as possible while enjoying the food. I wish there was a Sarap closer to where I live, but it's a must visit every time I'm in Bakersfield.

It works like Panda Express, food is laid out and you order your food at the counter. I chose rice noodles, Chicken Afritada, and Pineapple Pork. The thin rice noodles were so good, with layer and layers of complex flavors. You need to try it. Thank me later. The Chicken Afritada is dark meat chicken chunks, potato, tomato, and mild spice. I loved it. I ordered pineapple pork because it was made with pork belly. The pineapple made the pork tender and melt in your mouth. So good. My friends all loved their food as well. If you are any where near coffee and olive, drop by for some really good Filipino food.

We ordered the Bakersfield Picante noodles and the Hibachi Shrimp. Now some of the reviews on here are claiming small portion size. Well let me set that record straight. The bag was so heavy I almost dropped them when he handed it to me. Now to the food. I'm going to start with the rice and move my was up. First. Wow. It's really nice to have someone who really knows how to make fried rice. Moist without being greasy flavorful and plentiful! Next came the veggies, a great mix of carrots, zucchini , bell Peppers and onions. Cooked and crisp at the same time. Perfectly seasoned and not mushy. I was impressed.... Moving up the ladder of delish I had the picante noodles... and I must say.. simply amazing. Soft to the bite and perfectly chewy. Covered in a picante sauce ( hence the name) that was just short of sublime. Now. The star of the show. The shrimp and scallops. Cooked to perfection and PLENTIFUL! there was as much protein as there was veggies...It was amazing. We had the Hibachi shrimp as well... everything I just said about the Picante noodles... goes for the Hibachi. ( saving you a little time here) So if you are looking for fantastic food, and want to support a VETERAN OWNED LOCAL BUSINESS! This is the place. Great food. Great service. Get down here already! P.S. I didn't take pictures of the food because I was Hungary. Next time!!!!

I moved out of Bakersfield but every time I visited, I had to make sure I go to this place. This time I brought my friends who also live in bigger cities, but everyone ended up falling in love with this place and couldn't stop talking about it. I'm so happy that they moved from the food truck location to a nicer place and more central to the nicer part of Bakersfield (near riverwalk) . My friends who I took to this place, still rave about the food they had here. It's so authentic, delicious, and just special. You ordered at the counter, and during lunch time there are options to get the lunch combo which are two types of dishes with rice or naan. I usually chose the usual, either tikka masala, butter chicken, or curry. But this time I wanted to try something I never got from the menu, which is the Shahi Matar chicken. Oh.My.God, it was the bomb! It's sooo good. The other thing that I always got was the veggie pakora. It goes sooo well with the curry dishes. Amazing. Services were pretty fast, around 10mins of wait during busy lunch time. If you didn't finish the food (which they give you really good portion), they have the lids for everything and ready to take home. Everytime I go back to Bakersfield, I always ensure to come here and bring my visitor friends here too. I already miss all the food here.

They have an extensive menu, and it took me a while to figure out what to order. To her credit, the cashier took her time explaining the various options available and was patient in answering my menu questions. I ended up ordering one of the lunch combos with chole masala, chicken tikka masala, and naan along with a mango lassi. I'm happy that the employee steered me away from the a la carte menu, because the lunch combo was quite a filling meal. Both the chole and chicken tikka masalas were well-seasoned, and the naan had an excellently flaky texture. The ambience was casual, and I felt welcomed by the cashier (though some of the looks by other diners highlighted how much I differed from the primarily South Asian customers during my lunch). I would definitely revisit during a future Bakersfield stop.
