Barbacoa taco with onion and cilantro

I normally eat their tacos because it reminds me of home but this morning when I was on my way to work I took a bite out of it and was completely appalled to see what I found.

Saw their food truck in a convenience store parking lot and I am a sucker for tacos so I had to try them. I got the asada mini tacos and they did not disappoint. It was filling and the meat was flavorful with the green salsa and slices onions and fresh lime juice to brighten them up! I will definitely be back to try other items.

Been on the hunt for the best mini tacos in the city since moving here and these have def been my favorite so far. Quick service and taste sooo good!

COVID Update: EVERY day they have stayed open, safe and in business. It's my new drive thru daily stop since so much is limited. I think I will go thru their complete menu since I've almost worn out the Lunch Soecial #21. Go with shredded chicken!

I usually like getting breakfast tacos here but am sadly doing this trip.. ordered a potato and egg taco and there was a huge chunk of potato and a little egg in it..

    Pastor taco $2.25

Why am I eating again? Because I like to knock out two or three things in one little mini trip. This is a new Taqueria Jalisco's style which opened up right next to that highly popular mexican cafe around here. They have three other locations in San Antonio and all have drive-thrus. I got a pastor taco for $2.25. The meat was well caramelized in a slightly sweet, very bronzed and greasy in a good way sauce. I've never had passed or pork so caramelized on the grill. It was very flavorful. The tortilla was a little crispy to my taste, and I'm not even sure if it was homemade. I may try the corn ones next. Next time I might get some mini tacos if they have them or a flight of three regular tacos with three different Meats to see which one I like the best. But if the taste of this Pastor is any indication, I think I found a great new drive through in New Braunfels with meat tacos in the $2.50 range and Tortas for $4.99.

Ordered for the first time today. Lengua sucked and barbacoa was good but have had better in the area.

Why has it taken my husband and I so long to try the grilled oysters divorciados?! Holy moly are…read morethey full of so many mouth bursting flavors! They were absolutely fantastic! I am definitely ordering this as a meal next time! Everything else on their menu is fantastic! I had the quesadilla this time and was surprised it's not your typical flat quesadilla. These are fried tortillas with the fixings of a quesadilla. Mouth watering, crispy and melt in your mouth meat! This place always is a great choice!

After a fun day at Schlitterbahn, we headed to La Cosecha with the family and arrived around 7:30…read morePM. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a more polished atmosphere than I expected. We were seated quickly, and our waitress was excellent--friendly, attentive, and especially kind and accommodating with our kids throughout the entire meal. I originally wanted to order the barbacoa, but our plans changed when we tried modifying the kids' meals. We asked about adding picadillo to their bean and cheese tacos and substituting fruit for the rice and beans. We were told adding meat would be $4 per taco and fruit would be another $6, which would have more than doubled the price of the kids' meals. Rather than doing that, I ordered the one-pound fajitas with chicken and Wagyu beef so we'd have plenty of extra protein to share with the kids. The kitchen was pretty slow, but thankfully the chips were excellent and they kept them coming. The salsa was served warm with a nice amount of heat, and my oldest son absolutely loved it. In fact, the chips were apparently too good. Between the long wait and unlimited chips, my 7-year-old managed to eat enough of them that he eventually threw up. That's entirely on him--not the restaurant--but perhaps the strongest endorsement of the chips I can offer. My wife ordered the sangria swirl margarita and enjoyed it, although we were surprised by how few flavored margarita options were available. I went with a mezcal cocktail that was delicious, well balanced, and definitely wasn't shy on the alcohol. Once the fajitas finally arrived, they were excellent. The Wagyu beef came out medium rare exactly as requested, and both the beef and chicken were flavorful and well prepared. Ordering the larger portion also worked out nicely for sharing with the kids. Overall, we'd come back, although probably more readily for an adults-only dinner. The food, cocktails, atmosphere, and especially our waitress were all excellent, and the staff was genuinely kind to our children. The biggest drawback for a family meal was the lack of flexibility with the kids' menu. Some reasonably priced à la carte options or easier substitutions would make this a much better choice for families.
