4th Time's a Charm? 8/30/22 The first time I went I wanted fish tacos but I was told that they didn't have any seafood products at the time. Bummer! I opted for a regular burrito (beef). It was okay. I should've gotten the Super Burrito which came with Guac, sour cream and the works. 9/14/22 was the second time I visited and I got the crispy tacos daily special ($1 extra for beef). The tacos came with rice and beans and a free drink from the vending machine. Good deal... the food was a little salty but, otherwise, good! 10/17/22 I came back to try their chicken version of the crispy tacos daily special. I must admit that I liked the beef tacos better than the chicken. Just my preference. Just okay for me. 10/27/22 brought the hubby with me and we shared a Super Burrito Asada with rice, beans, salsa, Guac, sour cream, cheese, and pico de gallo. More than enough for me and the hubby. Good stuff but both of us thought that the food was salty. On all occasion the food was served fast. The owner did everything... he took our order at the counter, he was the cook and was also the server. Dine-in experience during all visits. The restaurant had indoor and patio seating. The large bay windows made it bright inside. All my visits were during lunch time. There was one evening we came for dinner a little after 7:00p... there was no one inside the restaurant and was dim inside. Shortly after, the owner came back from emptying the trash out to the large bins outside and said "we're closed" while his sign outside said 8:00p and Yelp said 9:00p ¯\_('~')_/¯ Overall 3-1/2 Stars. Carne Asada street tacos

Very flavorful, nice portion size, family friendly environment in the restaurant. I had the bowl and hubby had the street tacos. Both were fantastic! I was only able to eat half of the bowl because it was so much food. It is obvious from the flavors that the Chile Verde in my bowl as been prepared over time to allow the flavors to come through. Absolutely delicious!!! We'll be back.

Glorified Jimboy's at best. I really loved the chips and the water. My lady and I came here and got a chili verde crispy taco, and a chicken crispy taco with a side of retried beans. I didn't even bother eating my tortilla because it was soggy (we ate there, so traveling with it In styrofoam wasn't the issue). The lady's chicken had a pool of grease that provided a great marinade. They were both really bad. The beans were overcooked and had sat there all day at least. They came with an old bean crust for the garnish. Won't be back, ever. Hope we don't get sick.

Food was good but a little greasy. Prices on the pictures of the menu are also a couple dollars lower than what they actually are now.

Their food was quite tasty and is clearly the reason this place is as popular as it is. The restaurant is not very large ~ one small-ish main room and an adjacent enclosed patio. Plus a few picnic tables under a shady canopy out front. We were seated out in the enclosed patio area where it seems they've tried to do some limited decorating. Service was friendly but a little on the slow side, although our food came out fairly quickly after we ordered. I got the super burrito and it was huge. Stuffed full of all the good stuff and grilled on one side. Simple but good, although it could have had the ingredients better mixed inside. (Ever read the hilarious blog post about the burrito that was rolled like a roll of Lifesavers? Oh, here's the rice. Next up, pico. Then beans. And here's the chicken. There is guac in here!) The hubby got the cheese chile relleno with mole, beans and a pyramid of rice. All delicious. Oh, and the chips were delightfully crispy and seemed super fresh and the two salsas were pretty tasty, as well. Prices were very fair, too! Good rec by our friends. I'd definitely go back, maybe for pick-up.

Every cocktail l've tried has been pertectly crafted, creative, and packed with flavor. If you're looking for recommendations, trust Alex he never disappoints. It's not often you find a place that consistently delivers great food, outstanding drinks, and excellent service, but Don Q's Cantina does exactly that. We talked to our friends and agreed that 6pm would be a good time to meet for dinner. My girlfriend called and they didnt' have any reservations available for 6pm.I called around Noon to see if we talked to someone else we could make a reservation at 6pm. They were very polite over the phone. The didn't have any reservations at 6pm, but they had a table for 4 at 6:30 pm if we didn't mind sitting outside. I took the reservation with the hopes we could get seated earlier. Their outside and inside dining rooms are about the same size. We arrived at 6pm hoping to get seated early and by 6:05pm the entire party was here and we were seated 10 minutes later at 6:15pm. We were seated a the first table out the side door against the wall. This worked great at I was able to put my package on the grown next to the wall, it was out of the way, but I could still see it so I didn't forget it. The fans were on over all the outside tables but ours. It was cool/warm enough to be comfortable in slacks and a T-shirt. No sweater was needed and I wasn't sweating either. The ice water was really nice. Soon as we were seated they laid us out menus. Shortly after chips, salsa, and bean dip were delivered. Then after a little bit the waters arrived. Our server asked for our drink orders while we looked at the menus. I ordered the Chile Relleno: Battered poblano chile stuffed with Jack cheese and red chile pork sitting atop black bean puree and serrano salsa. Topped with slaw and queso cotija. It was very tasty, but lacked cheese. I did not enjoy melty jack cheese oozing out of the pepper and that's the whole reason I ordered this dish. Tower Cafe in Sacramento makes it right. Their Chile oozes with melty jack cheese. The black bean purée must have melded into the Salas as I didn't see or taste it. It was topped with slaw that I enjoyed. It gave the dish a little crunchy. The red chili pork was very tender and I didn't notice any fat. I would not order this again My husband had the Salmon Machamantel Atlantic salmon, mole manchamantel, grilled broccolini, jicama slaw. I found the salmon to be very pleasant. It didn't taste fishy at all and I'm very sensitive to fish. The Mole sauce was non descriptive. The broccolini was cooked to perfection, not too cooked that it was limp and not undercooked so it's too firm. He would order it again. Cilantro Rice- All the meals came with the rice and it was very tasty. It was kind of odd that it was on a separate plate, but it made sense as there wan't room on our dinner plates. Presentation was lacking. We shared the Caesar Salad. It was very tasty, but awkward to eat as the pieces of lettuce were huge. They served us the entire leaf. Bathrooms- It was a small bathroom with only two stalls. If you need to wait it would be better to wait outside like I did. It was a bit awkward. The bathroom was well supplied and pretty clean. Flushing is an issue. The toilet doesn't have a lot of flushing power and it took my 3 flushes to get the seat covers to go down and not leave debris. Parking: We parked near Pet Food Express, which was close to the restaurant. It looked tight, but after we drove around we found lots of spots at the back of the lot. There is no close parking spots so if you have a hard time walking this can be an issue. Their downfall, the flies. There were so many flies swarming us that it was uncomfortable. I hope the other patrons were't dealing with the gigantic flies that were swarming our table and landing on our table and food. I searched other reviews and I'm not the only one who was swarmed by flies. Ambiance. It was ok, the music was loud and it was hard to hear each other as we chatted and caught up. I think there is more ambiance inside with the decor.
