Had a weekend event in Floresville and found this restaurant by chance. The food was good with large portions for your buck. The service was great. My wife and I ended going both Saturday and Sunday for breakfast it was so good. And we tried a little bit of everything as well. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Taqueria Reyes continues to impress with with so many perfect prepared meals. This is the kind of place where great food is served at a very reasonable value price. While many other restaurants keep increasing their menu prices and using post Covid costs as the reason, Taqueria Reyes has maintained their value menu pricing. Every meal I've tried has been very good, from the Chicken Flautas, Enchiladas & Tacos. The Crispy Tacos are made with homemade taco shells, not packaged store bought. I've tried both the Crispy & Puffy Tacos, not overly greasy like some other restaurants. It had been years last time I had Puffy Tacos, normally I wouldn't order due to my past greasy experiences. I decided to try it out since I had the Crispy Tacos previously, and sure enough, it was perfectly prepared! I gotta say, it's the best Puffy Tacos I've ever had. Additionally, the Charro Beans & Rice are very good, very flavorful....compliments to the chef!! Daily Specials are offering at an amazing value, well worth trying out, and multiple choices as well. The tortillas are homemade, I usually request well done tortillas for enhanced flavor. Even though the restaurant isn't anything fancy, it's a humbled place where people go to meet for great food & consistent friendly customer service. We were traveling through San Antonio and wanted some Mexican food that was close to the highway and was easy off/on. They had good ratings so thought we'd stop in. We grew up in Corpus so we knew the best Mexican food is usually the hole-in-the-wall places where the locals eat. I don't mean this to be racist but we were the only white people in the restaurant. I always say if you want good Mexican food eat where the Mexicans eat not the places full of gringos. LOL. I'm so glad we stopped. The food was outstanding. And the portions are huge. Our waitress was so nice. I would eat here anytime we are in the area. read more

What happened to Reyes Taqueria? Went this morning to get tacos and I didn't recognize anyone working there. When I got home the tortillas were hard and cracked and looked like they had been sitting around all day somewhere. Did the take these off a pile of tortillas that someone left on the table uneaten? This was the best taco house around here. All of the sudden it sunk to the bottom. Must have changed hands. I won't be making that long drive anymore. It used to be worth the drive. read more

Amazing, delicious breakfast tacos!! I ordered a bunch of different ones for the family and myself. Honestly could not tell you which one I liked more. They were all great. If you ever hear someone say "there is a hole in the wall restaurant that is very good", this is what they are talking about. It's not much to look at and it is small and old, well off the highway and beaten path. A place where locals come and eat and someplace people don't generally drive by and see. But this place is worth finding. It is a Hidden gem and a true hole in the wall good Mexican food restaurant. The chips and salsa are unique. The chips are a mixture of homemade fried chips and homemade fried flour tortillas. The salsa is way different than I've ever seen or had before. I can't say I'm a fan of it, it's very watery with just a little bit of flavor. But the food is fast and good. The rice has small bits of vegetables in it and the flavor of the food has a very homemade taste. The flour tortillas, which are homemade, always make a meal better. There is also homemade Mexican pastries and cookies for sale prepackaged upfront. This is a very small dining room with approximately 10 to 12 tables and there's about eight parking spots out front. There's not much around so you need to be looking for a yellow building that has decorative bars on the windows, two benches out front and decorated like a little taqueria. read more

If you want that authentic taste, good portions, at a great price, this is the spot for you. The 3 daily taco specials during the week are very good at a good price. The tortilla soup was not too salty and tasted so good. I have yet to try everything, but so far I'm liking it. read more

This is a spot you'd go to on a Sunday for the barbacoa and salsa with the homemade corn/flour tortillas. I haven't had a bad experience here yet & I've been coming to this location for my barbacoa more then a hand full of times. The employees are very respectful, I would say longest I've had to wait for a phone order is about 8 minutes! For me that's pretty quick. Everything I've eaten here is always fresh and hot. Salsa is a solid 7 out of 10 I do like xtra xtra spicy salsa and this was like medium hot. Definitely will recommend to anybody wanting to try new spots ' prices are affordable CHEAP! It's also very clean in there a bit on the smaller side but it's soooo worth it ! read more

We were heading south of San Antonio on Thursday morning around 11am so we got their special, $3.75 for 3 tacos - and they were good size tacos, too. Got a total of 9 tacos and a lunch plate for 2 adults and 3 children. More than enough food! read more

It's a very small, authentic place. The hospitality here is unmatched. The staff is kind and very attentive. We knew it was going to be good when we were walking in to find a spot to sit while observing everyone else's plates! Everything looked delicious. And we were right. I have been here several times. I moved into the area over two years ago and thought it's about time I reviewed this place. This place is good over all. It does have its weaknesses, but it's good. The tortillas are homemade both corn and flour. They open at 6:00 am daily, clos no earl on Sundays. For breakfast they are awesome! If you do go closer to closing time the food does go down in quality. Given that they will be closing soon. I always call in and order for pick up and they are about 90% accurate. The asada tacos come with lettuce and tomato included. The red salsa is better than the green. Parking is a whole other subject. They only have about 5 storefront parking spots including 1 being handicap. All in all it is a decent spot to grab breakfast, lunch or early dinner!
