    Another menu- for blue truck

Very disappointed with our visit. After a family members recommendation to check this place out, we were stoked to make the 25 minute drive out late on a Saturday night... but I wish we would have just went to whataburger by the house lol. In the pictures, the food looks good, but everything was dry and really lacked flavor. The quesabirria just tasted like pulled meat, and lacked that Birria flavor. Even the consommé tasted like plain beef broth. The shrimp were way overcooked, super dry and overly seasoned. The chicken was tough and dried out. Rice almost tasted like plain white rice. And the pastor .... Just wasn't hitting. I was really excited about the horchata, but was disappointed when I took that first sip. Maybe I just don't know what good horchata is supposed to taste like, but it did not hit the spot for me. The lady taking our order wasn't exactly friendly, not a great customer service attitude.. just kinda seemed like she didn't want to be there. I get not wanting to work, but fake a smile when you work with people. As far as atmosphere, it could use a little work. No music, the string lights were off, and just wasn't a "fun" environment. My family probably won't be back.

This little taco truck serves up some delicious tacos. The meat in the tacos is tender but hearty, and portion sizes are perfect. My only gripe is with the corn tortillas, as they are a bit stale/old-tasting, but maybe it was an off day for them. I also tried the horchata, which was refreshing and not overly sweet. I'm not a fan of the rim of marzipan, but the horchata itself was good. Overall, a solid taco spot, even if it's not my fave in SA, but I still recommend coming here!

I've been to Taquitos El Jefe a few times, and while their tacos were good, their horchata is AMAZING! I've gone back multiple times just for the horchata, and I think it's well worth it. Some might say the price is a bit steep, but trust me, the quantity you get is generous, and the quality is top-notch. I do feel as if their birria could have a bit more flavor but for now, I'll keep going back for that incredible horchata!

One of the best taco trucks around! I went on a weekday and there was no wait at all and tons of tables and chairs but I did hear it gets packed on the weekend. The food and drinks were great and decently priced. everyone is very nice and they have music playing. All around good vibes and great food!

These were super tasty, fresh and visually appealing tacos and drinks. The tables were clean, service was friendly and fast. They had music playing and the area was well lit. We want to return to try other menu items. Totally recommend the trek out to this vibrant local spot.

The worst, no Parking and food took way too long! We waited An hour for to go tacos and cocktail. Got home cocktail was too spicy and literally like 3 possibly 4 shrimp. :/ for shrimp cocktail. Would def not recommend.

Make sure to take cash, it's a CASH ONLY taco truck. I will go back to this place just for the horchata w/ mazapán rim!! It was delicious! The lady who took my order was very nice, great customer service. Great tacos, great speaker music(Spanish music), and great must-have aguas(horchata, cucumber lemonade, strawberry lemonade)! Next time I would ask to have corn quesadillas de birria instead of flour ones, not a fan of fried flour tortillas. I totally recommend the tacos Al-pastor, they were really really good!(sorry no pic of them)

The food is amazing! I got a shrimp quesadilla & horchata and my partner got a Mexican soda and beef tacos. Everything was perfect. Service was faster than expected considering it was a long line. And the ambiance was homey, lots of seating and they cleaned each table after a party left. 10/10 will def come back again!

Drove about half an hour to this taco truck. We got there 10 minutes before they open but it seemed as if they were already taking orders no biggie the line wasn't long yet once me and my husband ordered we had a 20 minute wait time which went by pretty fast food was hot and fresh. Mini tacos are amazing! Got Asada and the steak was so flavorful sauces were good to come for cilantro and onions would definitely go back for those. The quesadilla de birria not so much of a fan I think maybe it's because the flour tortilla. The consome was also a lot of oil the actual soup and meat was at the very bottom. The strawberry Horchata is a one will definitely go back for those as well. I do recommend this place for mini tacos and August Frescas. Oh yeah this taco truck is cash only!

Food was ok... the asada used to be so good there. We picked up birria and asada quesadilla and the meat wasn't cooked right.

That's exactly the energy at Los Weyes de la Asada. From the second you walk up, it feels alive. Not in a forced way, more like you've been there before, even if it's your first time. The kind of place where your stress, your diet, even your cruda takes a backseat. Now the food. No overthinking needed here. Everything coming out of that truck is a straight up pow pow of flavor. The carne is cooked just right, juicy with that perfect char, and the corn tortillas are legit, soft but with enough structure to hold everything together. I ordered the Mamón and the Chingón, and honestly, both lived up to the names. No misses. And the agua fresca de fresa? That sealed it. They serve it in a little bolsita, which somehow makes it hit even better. Simple, nostalgic, and just cool. It's all tucked inside El Camino, which adds to the whole vibe, string lights, people hanging out, that easygoing outdoor feel where you lose track of time a little.

The smell alone made me think we were in for something special. We grabbed a couple of cocktails and ordered tacos, which seemed like the obvious choice. The tacos were good, but that's about where I'd leave it. They weren't bad at all, but they also weren't particularly memorable. With the aroma coming from the grill and all the recommendations I'd heard, I was expecting a little more flavor and a bigger wow factor. The atmosphere was fun, the service was good, and the charcoal grill definitely adds to the experience. I just found the food itself to be more "solid" than "spectacular." I'd rate it about a 7 out of 10. Worth trying if you're already at El Camino, but not a place I'd go out of my way for.

As a fellow citizen of H-town, we have a vibrant taco scene and I would put this place up there with some of my favorite spots I frequented in HOU. Each time I've been here, I've ordered between 8-9 tacos as they are each $2.50. I've gotten a combination of pastor, barbacoa, lengua, bistec, and cabeza. I can't really select a favorite cause they're all so delicious with the meats tender and juicy with a heaping sprinkle of onions and cilantro. Make sure you squeeze the lime on it and mix it with the radish/cucumber garnish they'll throw in there. And don't forget to throw on that green/red salsa they provide. Either eat there or get it to go (which is what I did). Fortunately the tacos travel well as they were still hot when I posted up at my hotel to grub. Don't be discouraged of the long line if you see one as it moves quick. You walk up and place your order, then pay afterwards. It's somewhat of an honor system but there is security present when I went there so that eased my concerns. For drinks, it's either soft drinks, water, or mineral water. No alcohol is served here so if you want margaritas/micheladas/beer, you'll have to go elsewhere for that. No doubt I'm returning next time I'm in SA. Viva Taquitos West SIDE!
