out of all the targets in the land, this is the fairest one of all. its not ghetto like the one in richmond, where they put condoms behind a glass box & you have to ask for assistance to get some rubbers. they let you roam free amongst the entire store. plus, they have an escalator for your shopping cart & an elevator - if you need the privacy. yes! 2 floors of target shopping. you'll never feel claustrophobic here. they know how to entice you enough to buy over your limit & off your list. the shock comes when you get to the checkout, to find out that you have to pay by credit & not cash. at least you have more cash in your wallet.... which you can then splurge on yourself at their indoor starbucks or their foodie area- you made it through the target gauntlet you deserve it. read more

what THE?! how have i NOT reviewed this place yet?! my wife and i have been frequenting this place as long as we've lived here in albany. this target is BY FAR the best, well kept target we've ever been to. this joint is always neat and tidy, even during the holidays, and has 2 stories with one of those fancy cart escalators! seriously though, this store is huge and they fill it with with a wide assortment of things that you're looking for. if they had a membership card here, my wife and i would TOTALLY have one... the only reason i dock a star is because they're never opposed to taking your money when you don't need to be spending it... those greedy bastards. read more

It's like the Heavens shine on this target! It is huge, very clean, everything I have ever wanted in a store! The two stories are very easy to sort through and people are friendly and helpful. It is well worth paying the $3 toll to head this direction instead going down to the Daly city locations. I never walk out without spending at least $150. I try so hard, but I always feel I need EVERYTHING! I try to only let myself go a few times a year to stock up on the necessities, but sometimes I find myself craving that big red dot! read more

By Far My Favorite Target! I was getting ready to fly out to the carribean and needed a sticky bra that was in stock online at this store. Initially searching for about 30 minutes with one of the sales women, I asked the costumer service counter. After about four different people tried locating the bra in the back a gentlemen ran down the isle with the bra in hand. I've understood the therapeutic value of a trip to Target since I got my first checkbook at age 15. I've grown up with Target and Target has grown up with me, keeping up on the latest fashion and consumer trends, from stylish clothes and accessories to eco-friendly products, electronics, home decor, and even great wine deals. On a recent trip I came home with a lovely coffee table, an Xbox game, a cute pair of tights, a toy helicopter, a lipstick, and a latte. I should point out that the Target in Albany holds a special place in my heart for its always friendly and efficient customer service, the shockingly sparkly clean bathrooms, and of course, the ever entertaining shopping cart elevator. This Target is alright. The employees are friendly and always open to help. They actually seem literate, unlike the one up San Pablo, and most of them actually have a smile on their face. Still though, after 15 years of shopping at Target my favorite thing is the red scanner you can use at the end of the aisles. I like Target. It is like the old Gemco I went to with my Dad but better. They have good beauty section but, it is hard to find same thing twice. I also do not know why all the workers are at the counter but, never on the foot when you need help. read more

This Target is the best and it is a breath of fresh air. This Target is huge (it's a two story Target), so expect to find everything you are looking for. The service is great and consistent, I have never had a bad experience at this Target. This Target has a great pantry sections, which makes for a great one stop shop for all your needs. 2 star for customer service!!!! I love this target!!!I've been coming here for the past 4 years,come here about 3x a week . Place is great the layout is great 2 story everything very organized and neat. What makes me dislike this place sometimes are the workers who are not making this place so great now, some with attitudes ,some on their phone when checking you out nor customer service. Then we have the security guard with the girl Looking hair with highlights short latino. In there last night and did this guy give me a look. For some reason I felt like I couldn't have my purse in the cart while checking out with my kids because I'm latin. I don't think people should feel this way especially when customers are the ones paying the employees paycheck He needs a lot more work, he needs to stop acting like he is a cop and stop acting super cocky. Security guards throughout the time have never acted like that but this one here, boy his title got to his head!!! read more

This was a chance journey out here, as my friend and her baby needed to Tar-ghey it up for some necessities. Brand spanking new Target off 80 east, and it's way sexy, at least by target standards. I was totally impressed by its cleanliness (some of the targets look like they have been run through by a pack of wolves. Wolves, I tell you!) and its selection of product. Most Targets seem to have a bevy of screaming juveniles regardless of the time of day, but maybe it was the cleanliness, but everybody was remarkably well behaved. I have this theory that one cannot get out of Target without spending at least $50, and again I was correct, with some toys for the baby, two DVDs, and a couple of other "necessities" (why is it that I NEED everything inside of Target, instead of simply coveting?!) I think any time I'm in the east bay, there will be a side trip to this location. I'd like to pretend one day that I possess a green thumb, and amble into the garden section. read more

this is our go-to target it's clean, new(er) construction... although the parking lot isn't huge, we never have problems finding parking, maybe because it's not located at a strip-mall with other shops in the same compound... the target is 2 floors and carries most of the stuff we need. i do wish their clothing and shoes section was a little bigger... since i'd like a bigger selection of 'work-out' clothes... i was looking for rain boots on saturday and they only had two different ones that were for kids. check-out is also always quick and efficient and overall, the store is just clean and organized read more

How can you not be a fan of a Target as large and well-stocked as this one? As per their usual, they had plenty of choices from clothing, to shoes, to toiletries, and groceries. Love it. Terrible customer service. Spoke with a couple different associates about a return they wouldn't take and escalated to Wayne, their Customer Relations Executive. How this guy got a job with Executive anything but Tool in the title is beyond me. Besides repeating their policy, of which the first associate stated, he offered no helpful ways to deal with this issue other than telling me to call the manufacturer (he could not even provide a phone number for that). A store that is selling you a product that they back and make money of off should very well be able to provide all needed information on said product. I realize this is a national chain and we are all faceless in the corporate scheme but I used to give Target more credit than Walmart. At least I can save more money at Walmart while being treated like a faceless money machine. Thanks to that glazed over deer in the headlights look you got Wayne, this family is going to Save Money, Live Better. Or just jump on Amazon Prime and help stores like this get knocked down a peg. read more

I love Target. More specifically, I love THIS Target. AS long as you go Tues-Friday after 6 you're good with the crowds. If you go on Monday night they might be out of all the good stuff from the weekend rush. Tuesday is great because of the deals you get on New Release Tuesday - all new releases are $9.99 (which is important to those of us who actually BUY cd's and support the artists). I'm still a little leary about the comfort of the shoes, but I'll try them on every now and then. They also have a huge food section including Beer and Wine. They actually sell Veuve Clicquot (I am not sure if this is good thing or a bad thing in my conflicted mind but it is shocking nonetheless). So if you're bored on a rainy day, go pitch a tent in Target and scavenge for goodies. it promises to be a good time. read more

I LOVE this Target, it has two floors of absolute awesomeness! It is clean, the staff is friendly (minus the evil rude people that work in the concession stand). They are always there to help. The lines are aplenty, and I never wait to long to get out of there. They always have great clearenced items (aisles and aisles!). This store is HUGE compared to all the other Targets I have been to around the Bay Area. The parking lot is huge as well, so there is never any parking shortages. read more

I had my first trip to this location yesterday, to return a makeup case which my hubby had given me. I had been driving all the way to San Leandro for my Target-ing, not realising how much closer to home this one was! Sigh. Well, my returns were a breeze, so that was off to a great start for me. I was impressed by the cleanliness and displays in this huge store. I really enjoyed browsing the ladies clothing, and I picked up a cute red sundress. I also found some good deals on a few makeup items and a new case. I was suprised to discover that there was a 2nd floor, so I ran up to take a quick look, since I was in a hurry. I went to look for a yoga mat, but didn't find one anywhere. I don't know if they carry them, but I can go back soon to ask. I also was happy to see the Starbucks on my way out, but didn't have time to stop. The cashier I had was a real sweet guy, efficient and friendly. I was on my way with a smile on my face, looking forward to going back maybe even tomorrow! I was a little confused how to drive out of there, but I managed ok. This is the best Target store I have ever shopped in, and I can't wait to go back! I just have to resist all the tempations here. read more

I'm an addict. When this target first opened, I literally spent 4 hours roaming every aisle and then took pictures of the special cart escalator. It was love or at least an immediate and strong infatuation at first sight and I knew I would probably never step foot in Ghetto Target again (el cerrito). Now I just live ridiculously close to it and stop in too often for my own good. As far as Targets go, this one's pretty great. Although, because it's great, it seems to attract way too many people at times. This store is HUGE but I've had experiences where it's really challenging to maneuver a cart around. It's pretty clean and organized. It was easy to return something. There's a starbucks inside and a food... thingy (not that that's the most awesome selling point). And despite it's size, sometimes they run out of things. The other downside is....you'll inevitably have like at least an hour sucked out of your life because you just can't ignore the shit around you. Oh and did I mention parking can be a bitch? Just park over in the far away lot and walk off the giant bag of potato chips you will probably buy. Having said all that...I still kinda love this place. read more

so we reserved a flexcar and drive to this target! this is an awesoeme target and it's soo easy to get to! There's tons of frozen food, like some that i didnt even think target would have. yea so we pretty much bought the entire dollar section, awesome selection in the dollar section, good stuff! the only downside is that the woman's clothing and accessories section is kind of lacking. It could have been b/c of the time that i went. The food court is a good size for your whole group. Also its really nice to have to photo center whie you shop! read more

A really huge target. Two stories to shop and this place has fresh groceries although limited to tomatoes, bell peppers and lettuce etc. I guess target is getting into the grocery business following walmart and wanting to compete with Safeway (I guess) however their selection is still not that great. read more

It's a bit strange that the East Bay has so many Targets within a 10 mile radius of each other. It might be that this Target is located in his own individual lot instead of a larger plaza, but then again so is the one in Emeryville, but I've always treated this as my go to Target. read more

I love going to this Target. Its close and convenient and easy to get to. I try and go in the mornings as to avoid the crowds, and it usually works. We love the escalator (my kids think its so awesome to see the carts go up). They have a pretty good food selection, considering its not a super target. The service is above average for a big store like that. read more
