Step away from the dollar area! This is my fav Tarjay. Every time I come in here there is always something new and exciting. I love the houseware/candle/stationary portionof the store. i dont buy clothes here for myself but for the grandkid and nieces and nephews its on point. There is a good selection, less crowded, checking out is a breeze. I think the hood roaches shop at the Target closer to Richmond, thank GOD! parking is cool. Great spacious parking lot. Never had issues with the parking. It doesn't mean you'll always find a parking close to the entrance, but seriously, don't be lazy. Walk a little. It's good for you. This Target is pretty Bomb. This is my third and final stop on my usually errand trip. I usually go to costco for the massive amounts of stuff like toilet paper and then go to ranch 99 for some Asian food and some groceries, I go to Target for everything else. Parking is usually decent and its really spacious inside. Tip. Att reception is bad inside. I really do not know why but if u need to ask someone a question, do it before you enter. read more

I love this Target. Not that I ever use it but they have Starbucks and Pizza Hut inside which may be a draw for some. What I love most about this Target is that it is big, clean, has an extensive grocery section and even carries Cholula ;) I love the escalators for your cart, oh so convenient. Very nice and clean store, a much better selection of clothing than other Targets but the cashier I experienced today was a total twit. She wore a miserable expression on her face, didn't smile, barely said hello, it looked as if she didn't want to be there. Then as we are walking away from paying for our merchandise, she then asks if we paid for a toy that was in the cart, we showed her that we paid for it at the service desk, then she asked about another item in the cart that wasn't ours and hadn't been cleared out from a previous shopper. It was quite annoying that she had to wait until we were almost gone to bring that to our attention. As a cashier you should be noticing and asking about these things as the customer is checking out! Not afterwards and make people wait in line again! Speak up skinny chic but most of all CHECK THE ATTITUDE. read more

This is my favorite Target in the East Bay. It is very large and has a wide variety of products. The only bad thing is that the shelves are often poorly stocked so you have to ask the staff to go into the back and get some item. Also there is a track to carry shopping carts upstairs but it is constantly getting broken. That is a pain. read more

Came into the Beauty concierge at Target in Albany the other day and not only fell in love with my hair product yet, also fell in love and met the most upbeat, friendly, (awesome personality) gal named Lupe. A beauty concierge specialist. She made my experience unforgettable and most importantly made my yucky dry hair smooth as a baby's bottom. She recommended me towards Shea moisture 10-1. This product is a natural form of "its a 10" it has biotin to stop breakage and it's really hydrating! I'm in love with this product! He rude, lack communicate skill, he keep interrupting me when I was trying to speak and he told his employees to refuse the coupon offer that was honor early at the store. The Pharmacy here is AMAZING. They are so kind, caring, and determine to help their clients. If they don't have a medication, they will do everything in their power to find it--if they cannot get it, they will find it at a near by pharmacy (non-Target), send your prescription over, and make sure all of your info is transferred..Our go-to pharmacy.. The store--ehhh--it's okay. Generally clean, good selection, wait not too long, staff mostly friendly, customer service desk leave much to be desired. read more

The staff are almost freakishly nice and helpful. You can't go more than an aisle without getting asked if you need help finding something. Needless to say, I've never had a problem finding anything. They're currently renovating the grocery section and will have fresh produce come June. read more

One of my kids has type 1 diabetes, and after a trip to the ER, needed fresh insulin. A chi chi pharmacy in my north Berkeley neighborhood which shall go nameless didn't know how to refill his standing insulin order, because it was a weekend. I took all of my business to this Target Pharmacy, after doing some research, and this was one of the very best moves I have made. Ever. This pharmacy works. The employees here know how to problem solve. They are motivated. They do their job as if my child were their child. They have this family of customers, for life. Dreadful customer service. I bought a large rolling suitcase at this Target store. It started falling apart on the FIRST trip that I took it on. By the time I was able to get time to go back to the store to request a refund, 90 days had passed. The customer service clerk stated that they would not under any circumstances accept a warranty claim after more than 90 days. He pointed to irrelevant language on the back of the receipt that said that returns had to be within 90 days in original packaging, language that plainly referred to a request for a cash refund by a customer who had simply changed his mind about a purchase, as opposed to a warranty claim in case of a defective product. He didn't want to hear about the implied warranty that the LAW provides. I wrote a long letter to the corporate offices of Target Stores. I NEVER GOT A RESPONSE! I eventually, after a lot of work, got a refund from the manufacturer, which by the way makes almost all of the luggage sold by Target Stores and seems to have a VERY close relationship with the corporation. Consumers should be aware that all consumer goods sold in California carry an implied warranty of merchantability by the manufacturer AND the retailer. If an express, written warranty is given, the implied warranty lasts as long as the express warranty, up to one year, but CANNOT be less than 60 days. If there is no express warranty, the implied warranty is for ONE YEAR. Far too many businesses, large and small, simply ignore the law and blow off customers. Standing behind their products and customer satisfaction seems to be important to few these days. If they sell you a piece of utter junk, they think it should be your loss. This was the second piece of luggage that I'd bought at this Target store, and they both fell apart. I'm a slow learner, it seems. I think a lot of the merchandise they sell is pretty shoddy. They're aiming for low cost, obviously. Also, on one occasion, I was looking for an office chair, and had one on the floor and was trying it out. A member of the staff came up and said that I couldn't sit on the chairs, and he put it back up and chained it to the shelf. I asked if he really meant that I couldn't try out furniture before buying, and he said yes. It's the typical big box store--you buy a mystery cardboard box or shrink-wrapped crap, and get zero service. read more

I LOVE THIS TARGET. i totally regret writing that three star review back in 2014 but i now am in love with this target! they have everything i needed and it was all days to find. i was mostly just looking around though, to look for stuff i could buy so i could get a five dollar gift card with my purchase and to my luck that is just what i got. the service has dramatically improved since the last time is was there because when i went they treated me like i was king or something. at the counter there was a long line to pay for my stuff and there was a long line but the clerk did such a good job of getting the people through the line that it only took five minutes. i ended up saving so much than i even would at Walmart. sorry Walmart, but i just found my go to place for getting all of my shopping done. read more

This is a huge, clean, well-lighted Target. It has everything from toolboxes to beauty supplies to oranges to sweaters. My wife and I have been here many times to buy things for our new apartment. The items are good quality, and the prices are moderate - not cheap like Walmart, but not super expensive like Williams-Sonoma. The staff is also very helpful: whenever we ask where something is, they drop whatever they're doing and take us there. Parking is great, too. read more

I called the store to look for an item, and the gal that answered the phone puts me on hold right away, on hold for 5 minutes. She comes back on and says you were on hold for so and so , right??? I said no, I haven't been helped yet, I need the kitchen dept pls...she transfers me and had me on hold for another 5 minutes. I called back, the same gal answered the phone and immediately transfers me again before I could say anything and was on hold again for another 5 mintues (15 mintues total)! The other 2 Target stores (Oakland & Alameda) I called prior answered and helped me right away, they were very helpful and provided me with an excellent customer service. This store sucks!! (I did call this store back because they had the item I needed for the Christmas party) Luckily, another person answered, his name was Jorge, and he did help me find my item. He was helpful. read more
