If you are ordering items online, please INSPECT your items thoroughly before leaving the store!!! We were helped by a very unprofessional staff member at customer service (whose name I can provide if anyone contacts me about it).
Basically we purchased an item which we noticed had been previously opened and taped again (technically should not even be sold in store anymore). It was very obvious because the original tape had been cut open and when it was re-taped, the tape ran out, so there were some white parts with the brand of the tape on it.
Upon telling the CS, she denied that it has been opened and said that we can always return it if there's any issues.... uh seriously? Why would I want to buy a used item if I can get it new?? And why would I want to buy an item that's supposedly "new" when I can obviously tell it has been used, and then waste my time coming back again to return it if there's any issues??
The correct response would have been "sorry, let me see if there's another one". But no, I had to ask her if I could get another one, and when she checked the inventory, she said that the one we had is the last one... Not sure if she was lying or if the inventory really showed none, because when we went past the aisle, we saw one.
When we told her that, she didn't seem to understand and thought we wanted a refund. After clarifying what we meant and grabbing the item off the shelf ourselves, she proceeded to do a refund... which I didn't understand at all because we were merely exchanging the item for the same item... so couldn't we just have gotten it and left???
Then she wanted to check our order on our phone because she wanted to know how much we paid for it... but couldn't she have just scanned the item and found out the price that way??? When the order history took too long to load, she got impatient and just said to forget it and that she will just salvage the item... ????
My head is full of question marks right now... I don't know what she was trying to do, and her level of unprofessionalism is showing me that target is lacking in proper training of employees. It should not have taken so long to pick up an order. The purpose of online orders is to make things easier and faster, but none of that happened..
This is not the first time I have experienced poor customer service from target anyways, so I guess it should have been expected...
On the other hand, if you're going to this store to buy stuff, there are better targets.. this target always seems to not have what I'm looking for because they never restock, or lack variety.. I even found expired mac and cheese once.. things are always marked on clearance, but the deals aren't that great. read more
