I'm a little late but earlier this week I came here and I Love this target. I will have to say most of the time I go I don't think I've ever experienced this but, I was on my way to work and decided to go to target before work. I go in usually saying I want 3 things but nope I stop by the little place in makeup section that has mini versions of stuff and got a lot of small mini items. Once I'm done I head to self check out and start scanning and get my bag open and ready. I scanned a couple small things and have a big bottle of conditioner that I don't want to squish my other items so I move some stuff around in my bag to place the bottle of conditioner at the very bottom. All of a sudden I get this weird feeling someone's watching me, and I turn around... Im not even lying the self checkout lady who has a wrist brace is standing not even 5ft but 2ft behind me staring at what I'm doing. I look back and give a stare and continue scanning. Then 1-2 min go buy and she was still there and ended up walking away at some point when I looked behind me again. I spent over $100 on my items and honestly left so mad because I've never experienced that at all, or at that target that I go to all the time. Keep in mind I've been living in HB for 7-8 years now. The store is clean and well organized. The staff are nice and fast at checkout lanes. They have a good selection of everything and they have a lot of random sales throughout the week. Sometimes they have cheaper prices than showing in the app. Don't forget to check out the clearance sections to find good items at this location :) read more

Target Review: Christmas Eve-Eve Madness It's a chaotic battlefield. Finding a parking spot felt like winning the lottery, and good luck finding a cart. I was deep in an egg drought crisis when I noticed a MAD-mad woman--loudly talking to herself, searching for milk like it was her last hope for the holidays. She locked eyes with me and said, "Merry Christmas from Satan." I laughed nervously (coping mechanism, don't judge), grabbed nothing but my uncomfortableness, and started to leave. I don't know much about Satan but I have it on pretty high authority that homeboy does not celebrate Christmas. 5 minutes later, I hear her again, ranting at the top of her lungs. At this point, I'm invested. I can't ignore the drama now. So I push my very full cart toward the commotion. MAD- mad lady is now being escorted out by security while shouting, "My life is horrible and you don't even care if I die." Poor security kid was like, "I do care," as he continues to walk her out of the store. Moral of this story? No clue. But Christmas Eve-Eve at Target is wild. This is the BIGGEST Target I've ever seen! No joke, the building goes for days. It's so long! They have a ton of things and a huge variety. This might be my favorite Target of all time lol It's really clean and organized inside. Everything is where it should be. Staff are friendly. Can't go wrong! Inside includes a CVS Pharmacy and an ULTA. These stores are inside of the giant Target! Say whaaaat lol You can get your clothes, food, medications and makeup here! Recently my wife went in to purchase some clothes. She has shopped at this Target (Brookhurst and Adam's) numerous times before. She goes to self check out so the associate can remove the security tabs. A group of women before her were also purchasing clothes and the associate removes their tabs without question. My wife presents her clothes so that the tab can be removed and is asked, rudely,for a receipt. Why did she ask for a receipt from my wife to remove the security devices when none was required of the group? I will add now that the group before my wife was Caucasian and my wife is Latin from Peru. There is no subjective reason, I would say, for the associate's suspicion. I hope this type of behavior is localized to the rude and, evidently, biased associate and not indicative of the culture at this store. read more

I don't know what's going on with management, but every single person working here looks like they'd rather be anywhere else. I asked one employee for help finding an item, and they literally pointed in a random direction and walked away. Another one rolled their eyes when I asked if a dressing room was open. No one smiles, no one offers help, and when you finally get to checkout, the cashier acts like ringing you up is ruining their day. I get better customer service at the DMV. Target seriously needs to retrain their staff or hire people who actually care -- this was the last time I'll shop here. read more

I think I've had this clerk before. She was gelling the customer before he. She was entering the cash received to the register and did it three times not getting the correct amount to display it. The elderly customer had to tell her what numbers to enter. Finally the clerk got it right. The customer and I both rolled our eyes. When I paid my purchase and I was trying to reach the items to leave, the clerk just let me struggle to reach the items and didn't offer me any help. Terrible customer service. read more

Service and Customer service at Huntington Beach store off Adams was "Exceptional ". Joined Target Circle , with APP, and got $$$ discount on TCL TV D -55. Assistance was so user friendly. They roiled TV to store exit, and then someone else helped loading it into Jeep. Just great !!!!! read more

This store is always clean. I see staff cleaning up the front often. Like most stores, they are out of product alot, but I can usually get what I need. The lanes always see to be staffed and move fast. I had a return last week and Shelly helped me out with ease and a smile. The manager, Daniel, was behind the customer desk which was nice to see, you don't see managers helping customers much anymore. The only complaint I have is someone pushed a basket full of stolen products out and no one did anything. When asked why, was told "we cant" and that was it. Very pleasant shopping experience here. It was so relaxing to browse around--not very busy--helpful associates when I asked questions. Picked up an online order and bought something else. Came here because they were one of the few Targets in So Cal to have stock in what I needed on both items! I don't think a lot of people know about this Target so they have stock in many things. Store looked clean and bright. Happy shopping atmosphere. Only thing that I don't like is that the associate told me that you have to wait 24 hours to return an online order because it's not in the system same day to do a return. I had this issue before at an other Target--wish they would fix this. There is a Whole Foods across the street if you need groceries. read more

iTunes cards are compromised again. My $50 card would not load fifteen minutes after purchase. Target told me to contact Apple for refund. Target mentioned that this is happening again with their I tunes cards. Rather than pull the cards, they are selling fraudulent cards and are letting the customers suffer when they don't work. After two hours of bickering, they contacted their corporate office and okayed store credited. This is a major U.S. company! read more

This Target is huge and has electric car charging stations, floral bouquets and groceries. And phone charging stations? How convenient! I came in to get a few necessities but loved their big selection of Pride clothes and accessories. Yes, this month is so commercialized now but if you can't beat 'em, join 'em rockin' a cool Pride shirt! I do think the layout is a bit odd. Jewelry is in the middle of the a main aisle and takes up too much space. Their jewelry and handbag prices have really gone up as well. No comment on workers since I used self check out. read more

I'm not sure why I keep coming back. If you live in HB you're better off driving to Costa Mesa Target. They never have enough staff and they are always out of everything. When they do restock it seems to be during peak shopping hours so you have to dodge stock carts and employees just to see what's on the shelf. It's been this way for years! Manager Anthony was wonderful today! My friend Mira and I had an issue where the cashier accidentally charged her visa card instead of the gift card (a bday gift from me). We were SO GRATEFUL today when Anthony understood what happened (and believed us - we had the receipt, but cashier mistakenly threw away the gift card). First time here since they finished their remodel. Unfortunately they don't carry the Mossimo brand that I loved so much. But I did find some clothes here that I'd be happy with. They also have less cashiers open when I came here. I used the self checkout lanes and it wasn't that bad. Michael was working in that area when I was checking out and he seemed helpful should I have had any difficulties using the self checkout. What could make it 5 stars? Do not ever buy a giftcard here!! I got a $250 giftcard as a bday present for someone and it was empty and I have gone into Target and called 3x and they are giving me run around to make it right. I understand a lot of things have gotten worse since Covid. But this Target was hit hard. Use to be a good store but all recent experiences here have sucked. Recently when in to buy a video game for my nephew for his birthday. All video games are locked up and need an associate to unlock them. No one was working in electronics and I had to search half the store to find an employee to call someone to unlock it. Even after two employees called for help in electronics I waited over there for 15 minutes and an employee never showed up to open the case. Please keep self check out open longer. Last night around 7:50pm, I purchased eight items and initially intended to use the self-checkout. However, it appeared to be closed, so I proceeded to a checkout line with no wait. The cashier, who was seated and appeared to be scrolling on their phone. When I walked up they tossed their phone down in order to ring up my items. I almost felt the need to apologize for getting in their line, as though I had inconvenienced them. This is why I opt for self check out, plus I can bag my own items and they aren't just carelessly shoved in a bag. I didn't see their name because their back was to me the entire time besides briefly asking me if I wanted a bag. I had to re-bag my items as they were carelessly packed. I avoid this Target/employee cashier interaction at all costs, unfortunately it's on my way to work. read more

Olivia working the pickup drive up this evening was amazing. She was the only person working with many cars waiting. She was hustling and constantly running to get people their orders. This is a pretty decently sized Target. I do miss the old layout, as well as the clearance aisles. The store is more organized than other Targets I have been to, but I do wish that items would get restocked sooner. I like that they still have the old school food area where you are able to get popcorn and pretzels still, in addition to Starbucks. This is one of the few Targets I have seen, that still has those food options. The return area is great. The staff is friendly, and usually very quick. I just wish the checkout area had more cashiers because the lines are always long, as well as staff available to answer questions. DO NOT PURCHASE GIFT CARDS at TARGET Overall, I love Target. However, a recent experience has changed that. I recently purchased several Nordstrom gift cards through Target, one in the amount of $100. When it was used to make a purchase, the Nordstrom cashier said there was no funds on the card. A return trip to Target, including a conversation with the manager, did not resolve the issues. I was redirected back to Nordstrom where I produced copies of the receipt and the card in question. Nordstrom decided the card was used 'by someone' and that I was trying to fraudulently get money out of them. No worries- Nordstrom will get their own review. The back and forth between these two companies was ridiculous, with clearly no genuine concern or attempt to provide customer support or service. Don't get me wrong, this Target has great stuff and the shelves aren't messy like other locations... but there's way more cons. I'm a regular at this location and the customer service is not the best! I prefer using self checkout to not deal with moody staff members. Most of them look like they don't enjoy their job to be honest. I've only had about three staff members treat me friendly and polite. There's 4 stalls in the women's restroom, and more than half of the time, there's only 1 semi-clean stall. There's always toilet paper around the toilet and on the floor which is gross!! The toilets are always flooded and are just disgusting. There's always staff walking everywhere, but yet they don't have enough to help up front ?! I've noticed they close up the self checkout area in the early evening, and usually only have 1-3 registers open later. Not only do they make it harder for themselves, but for their customers as well! Having only two registers open when the lines are blocking the lane is insane Some people don't have enough time to wait for the cashiers that enjoy taking their sweet time!! I've overheard how the "security guards" and managers talk and handle things, and it's not appropriate at all. They don't do their job well, and could care less about how us customers feel. The 16400 Beach Blvd, Westminster Target location has nicer customer service, I don't feel judged or scared to ask for help, and I feel comfortable enough to use their restrooms. Maybe this Adams location should learn a few things from them. Please do better! read more
