It's a target. But the good kind. Too many times I see targets slacking and not moving the line enough in the self checkout but this one went fast. There were associates on the floor available for when I asked a question if where the board games were. And everything was well stocked. No issues with asking if they had something in the back. Gladly pay a little bit more to avoid another store and to keep the brick and mortar open. read more

First and only time writing a bad review, I was making a purchase of trading cards at a self checkout. When David, the floor manager, walked over and told me I was not allowed to purchase the cards because he had seen me in store multiple times to purchase cards. I replied he was mistaken and this was my first time ever buying cards, he again stated he had seen me and I could not make purchase. He was calling me a Liar? Again, I swore this was a first purchase, he then said I would be able to make this purchase but would not be allowed back into store again. I asked for a manager to which he replied he was the manager. I then asked for a different manager he again said he was the manager. I asked for his last name to which he replied "David". Today, I stopped by for this one product that I cannot seem to find anywhere else, except Whole Foods and maybe online. At Target, the item is much cheaper than other places that I have seen it. Though I am not a regular Target shopper, I will stop by from time to time to replenish this item. Though not all of their prices are good, I often find some good deals in the grocery section. As for the service, it is mediocre. I do not find anyone there, who provides exceptional customer service. They will answer questions. read more

I shop at Target some times. They have a Starbuck in the store. They have deals and sales from time to time. They also have a pharmacy.

This Target is well-maintained, organized, and easy to shop. Staff are very friendly and on the ball. Had s great experience!

Overall, this was a well put together store that was able to afford me to pick up a majority of my list I needed. I don't remember much about my shopping experience since I have visited so many Target locations in the area, but one thing does stick out in my mind here. I was in search starch, whether it be of the corn variety or otherwise. I searched the shelves, searched the app, and just happened to find an employee on the floor to help me find the item. I'll be honest here, I had no idea where corn starch would be located in a store, like which section. I had gone to what I had thought would be equated to a baking section, but didn't see it. The employee punched in what I was looking for, after some confusion (I had to explain that the starch I was looking for was food based, and not meant for laundering). He took me over to where it said it was, and after about a half second of looking he just told me that they were sold out. Hmm, ok... In fact, they were not sold out, he still had no idea what corn starch was. After he walked away, I grabbed the box I needed and started to make my way about the store towards the front. I guess subconsciously I wanted the employee to see they had it, because I walked by him again in hopes he could see what I was actually looking for. read more

Very disappointed with target today. I went to the grocery store before coming here but since I was there picking up odds & ends, I decided to get some things I forgot in the grocery store. I was looking for Shredded or a head of lettuce, a couple of salads for lunch, butter and vegetable broth! I get to the nicely redesigned produce section and immediately felt sick seeing all of the rotting lettuce on the shelf, just waiting to go home with someone who didn't notice. With the amount of employees walking around completing online orders, I couldn't believe they didn't see what was so plain to see by a customer. The store is beautifully re-designed but it would really be nice to know someone is either removing food, that's past the sell by date and/or looks like someone walked on the products. The prices don't match the value here and I hope that changed very fast. The store also wasn't that busy during this time of day. read more

The target location in Laurel is clean and is usually fully stocked of items. This store is extremely crowded on the weekends and I would suggest shopping here during the weekdays or doing drive up services for your convenient. This location has several convenient drive-up spaces for those who have the target app. I usually wait no longer than five minutes at the most for my items, especially when I tell the app I'm in route. The drive-up app is the best feature ever. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars for my experience. A man was creeping around the store following a girl who couldn't be more than 15 years old. I saw him following her and he saw me follow him for five isles or so. In a world where young women are getting followed and traffic every day I went up the the young girl woman to woman and let her know that a man is following you please be careful. At this point the man approached me and my husband aggressively and said he was undercover security and that the young girl was being watched. He threw his hands up at my husband and even said "what now" THREATENING my husband in target in front of our two year old son as if he were going to fight my husband. This man is "Johnny" and this was at 6:45 at the Laurel target. Johnny is a terrible representation of target with how he handled his job and then trying to fight me and my husband (in front of our two year old son) for looking out for a young child. If there was a lower option that is what that is the rating they would have received. It is unacceptable at 7:50 to have all of your employees on break and or have gone for the day as this was explained to me at the customer service desk. as I was approaching the customer service desk the two individuals that were conversing at the register we're all of a sudden walking away. I ask for the manager and was told the manager was also on break. I'm not sure how the manager along with all of her employees are all on break at the same time. Jessica the manager was nowhere to be found. The individual that I spoke to at the desk proceeded to walk away in order to speak with someone on the other end of the walkie-talkie. Then return to the customer service desk to say unfortunately she's not available so you're just gonna have to wait. I asked for the store number and the individual could not provide me with that information. There were numerous issues and hazards around the store. while walking around the store, I saw a total of three employees. Yes it is back to school time. However, it's not OK to have the shelves looking like we're in the middle of some type of pandemic, and nothing is available. Normally you hear the walkies of team members reminding them of time to do checks not here. I know there was no one doing checks because someone had spilled a coffee all over the floor in the. oh with all the paper towels, and no one was anywhere to be found. This is unsanitary and it is a hazard. for the amount of money individual spend going to target This is unacceptable. people work very hard for their money and to walk into a store that does not close until two hours later into fine lines wrapped around corners because every employee wants to be on a break including the manager. this store was not kept well, and if no one's gonna be on the floor two hours before the store closed, what is the use of being open? The cashier that was on the floor. Joanne was very polite and had called for assistance numerous times. not only was the one line that was open packed all of the self check out. We're also packed and there were lines for both. this store needs to be managed by someone that is going to dedicate the time in the energy needed to run the store properly. It is unacceptable to have a store open when there are no employees to run it. The store did not close at 8 PM there were still two hours remaining, and every employee that was still on the clock, except the two individuals at the customer service desk who tried to run away and Joanne the cashier and the two individuals I saw, flying around the corner with restocking items in the beauty section. as I mentioned earlier, I am not new to this area and I have been to this target numerous times. Over the years this target has definitely gone downhill and the team that is in place to run. The store seems to be having a problem, knowing how to manage the schedules. the manager along with the team members seem to need training on how to run a store in win breaks are allowed and when they are not. Things should be staggered not everyone goes on break at the same time and also employees should not tell customers that basically there's no one there to help them. I asked if I could check out at the customer service desk and was told I'm sorry we can't check you out here. I asked if someone else could come on the floor to check the people out and I was told everyone was on break or had gone home. Target is a place many people go to spend money and in this community that is the only target option. I have watched as the shopping center has changed throughout the years, and target has remain in place. Which is a great thing for Target however, this dramatic turn for the worse is not good for the community. It is very important to value your customers. It is also important to value the place where you work. Taking pride in what you do every day should be a nonnegotiable. you are representing a company when you show up to work every day. In no way shape or form or fashion. Should a customer leave the store feeling that their opinion is not valued and if their time is not valued. I will be reaching out to corporate to take care of these items, because these hazards of the workplace will trickle down. everyone is on break, and there's only one cashier two people with a customer service desk and two individuals at the front of the store in a beauty section.Things must be changed or there will be larger problems to rectify later. I don't wish bad on anyone. I feel everyone should have the opportunity to improve.. I just feel it is important to make sure retail stores are servicing the community and not causing them more of a headache. I was not browsing because you know how that goes. Next thing you spent like $200! There's always something you will find that you need but I wasn't falling into that trap. I'd say this location is pretty good! It's not the best but far from the worst. This location is in a "high traffic" area and generally stock and attitudes inside reflect as such. I always choose quick trips to the store for this store over the Walmart. My qualm would be that there's never more than one or two people on register even at busy times. Of course, people with full carts go to self check out make people with a handful of things wait twice as long. If more register were open, I'm pretty certain the people with carts full would direct their payment there. read more

Wish this location being so big had more help at the register, at least during the weekends. You would think it will be more busier hence more people working, right? I had no problems with the staff, even though it was not enough cashiers, the lady helping out telling you were to go in line made the process easier. Unfortunately, the store was sold out... so I ordered online and he bought game "downloads" in store in CASH. We threw away the receipt not knowing the codes to download was on them. We were at Total Wine and I wanted to check the holiday baking section at Target for some cookie/cupcake toppers. The thing that impressed me the most about this store is that it's huge. Maybe because it's all on one level it just seemed like a big store, but the baking section was in the far, back corner away from the entrance and it seems like we walked a long, long way. The baking aisle was pretty picked over but I found what I was looking for and headed to the checkout section. On the way there, Rich noticed the DVDs and we picked up a Christmas movie we didn't already have. The self check-out line was long. Rich noticed that the ones with cashiers actually had shorter lines so we got in one of those. There seemed to be a lot of employees around, so I'm not sure why they didn't open up more lines and/or maybe have someone helping direct customers. Our cashier seemed a little frazzled, but she got the job done and I certainly don't blame her for feeling a bit stressed working in a store just weeks before Christmas! read more

Waited online to pickup my order for over 30min. One person working the line for exchanges/returns and order pickup who has to walk back and forth across the entire store just to pickup merchandise! They cherry pick people out of the line to service them depending on what they need to and disregard the other people who have been waiting much much longer. Plenty of other workers walking back and forth looking at the long line but not willing to help. I won't be coming to this location EVER again! Target needs to higher someone to analyze the logistics of their customer service and how to manage preorders. read more

Often, if I pass by a Target store, I'll stop in to buy something. As one of the premiere department stores around, it sells a range of merchandise that, frankly, I need on a regular basis (and that I run through quite quickly): toothpaste, dental floss, dishwashing liquid, and laundry detergent. Every now and then, I might even make a bigger purchase and get a vacuum cleaner or even some furniture (such as when I bought an end table last month). For a while now, I've also wanted to replace my old rice cooker. Since I've used it so much (making rice as I do almost at every meal), it's starting to break down from constant use. While I've eyed a few state-of-the-art rice cookers in the housewares section at local Asian supermarkets such as H-Mart and Lotte, somehow, I felt that I needed to exercise due diligence and also see what Target had to offer. At the Laurel store, like at any Target, the kitchen & dining department was easy to find. Once there, I was momentarily distracted by the frying pans that were on sale (but, more so, by a row of shiny bowls that seemed to be winking at me and calling my name). Anyway, once I gathered myself and found the little corner where various kitchen appliances where displayed, a rice cooker did invariably catch my attention. I stood there; and, as any shopper would do, I touched it, pressed its buttons, lifted its lid to peer inside, and read the available product information. The product in question, which was an Aroma brand 20 cup digital rice cooker & steamer, was handsomely silver & black and carried a pleasing $37.99 price tag. I wanted to buy it on the spot but didn't want to be too impulsive; so, I stood there gazing at it and mentally reviewed my options. It was, then, strangely and without warning, that an old woman walked up to me and began asking me questions about the rice cooker (such as what each of the buttons are for and how much water to use to get perfectly fluffy rice each time). I was a bit startled by being approached so suddenly; but, wanting to be helpful, I answered her questions willingly and enthusiastically. In fact, I said too much. My joke about being potentially richer than Bill Gates if I had a nickel for every bowl of rice that I'd ever eaten was probably best saved for a different context. Anyway, I don't think she bought the rice cooker. It was not until I left the store that I realized I was wearing a red shirt that could easily be misunderstood for a Target uniform. I've always noticed that workers at Target have to wear a red shirt (and that it seems to be whatever existing one that they already happen to own). Their "uniforms" distinctively vary in shade and style (depending on the individual). I even wore a pair of pants that, while not khakis, also could have easily been part of an employee's required attire. In fact, if I ever stop wandering with my bowl and decide to get a job, I might just apply to be a Target team member. I've already got the uniform ready to wear. read more

The line is ridiculously long and isn't protecting anyone. The line ( yes ONE) starts at the front of the store and goes alllllllllll the way to the back of the store near electronics. The manager of the store or whoever is in charge during covid-19 need to rethink how they are operating the store. One single line for every single shopper is absolutely the dumbest thing I have ever seen in any store. They need to go next door to the Total Wine store and get some pointers. I was highly discouraged and decided not to risk covid and also not having a 6 feet distance while waiting in the long a^% line. read more

This Target is generally my favorite in the area. We were having a positive experience with two employees, one even gave me a mask. Very nice lady. The electric cart went dead. I approached a male employee and he ignored me and sped off. A second employee let me know in no uncertain terms he was going to be of no assistance at all. I left the wheelchair where it died, went to get another one and it was dead as well. Today, Approx May 27 around noon this Target was not disability oriented. But probably just one of those days. Over all, still a pretty decent Target. Plug those carts in, somebody gotta do it. Maybe come back on a better day! read more

Let me start by saying I love target pick up service. I usually use to target in Glen Burnie or middle River, and they're wonderful. However this was Not the best pickup experience! The weather was rainy, I arrived notified the store Of my parking place. Received a message that said due to high demand it's taking longer than normal. I was the only one in the pick up parking places. I waited 20 minutes, tried to call the store Selection to guest services, no answer. Called back Two more times... No answer. Three cars pulled up parked waited a bit and and left. I called other departments in the store... No answer. I moved to a different parking place went in the store, and there was one associate standing there waiting on a gentleman. Quite a few other people were standing in the back chatting. No one came forward to help. Someone was walking through and she said are you being helped and I said no I'm not, I've been waiting outside. She said oh we don't come outside when it's raining. Well that's great but maybe TARGET should let THEIR CUSTOMERS know.. And I said you don't let your customers know and she said no we're very busy. I asked to speak to a manager, after a very short wait the manager came over, she was very polite and apologetic, and basically said that Target took away their ability to notify people when they can't bring out things, their phone lines were down due to construction, and there's pretty much nothing they can do. I consider this a major fail for Target. I will stay with my usual stores, they come out in the rain. To be fair though, this was a severe storm that's why I waited initially before I even let them know I was there because I didn't want someone coming out in the storm. But seriously Target, let your customers know that your associates do not come outside in inclement weather. There is nothing that tells us that. But more importantly teach them to answer the phone! read more

Ive been to this Target for many years, & until now, I have experienced rude customer service. My friend and I were trying on some clothes, and the fitting room employee was very rude for no reason. She suspected us of stealing clothes and she belittled us in her condescending voice. It was uncalled for. When we were checking out the clothes, the cashier lady made a quick remark. We were purchasing a clearance item for $8 and when the lady saw the price she quickly said, "OHH! Thats that wrong tag & the wrong price!" How could she know that right away! She basically made us pay $11 for the item. It was weird how different they treated us. It was rude and unnecessary. read more

This Target in Laurel is dreadful. I had to go two weekends in a row to the Customer Service desk to pick up or return items. Both visits, the staff are standing in a huddle complaining while a line forms at the counter. Finally a customer yelled, is anyone working at this counter? They looked at him like he was problem. Then at the self check out lines, there were only two registers working, two cashiers and a line down the aisle. Don't bother complaining to Corporate about the poor service at this store, you won't get a response. read more

Who has ever heard of a clothing store without a fitting room? I had a basket full of clothing (swimsuits, shirts, shorts) to try on and then get to the fitting room and it's closed. There's only the one fitting room and it's closed! So, you can't try on any of the clothes. The sign reads "sorry for the inconvenience." That's more than an inconvenience. I'm not about to buy a basket full of clothing most of which I know will probably not fit properly just to have to turn around and bring those items back. It's freaking ridiculous!! There should be a sign at the entrance of the store that indicates the fitting room is closed and you will be unable to try on any of the clothes! What a waste of time!!! read more

I purchased something that did not go into my cart. I didn't notice till I got home. I called the store, after 9, over and over and NO ONE PICKED UP. I was like "huh"? The store is open till 10. Then I called the Columbia store at 9:40, someone picks up on the 3rd ring. They made excuses for inexcusable behavior of the Laurel Target. She told me what to do when I go there tomorrow and eased my mind. Of course I was irked that the item wasn't in my bags, but even more pissed that no one picked up the Gueat services phone at a national chain retail store m. REALLY!!!! I went to the target to get my prescription filled. I used the enter door but I could see a lot of people entering through the exit door. No one is monitoring for Covid-19. A few people were covering their mouth with their T-shirts again no one is monitoring for the face mask. After I received my prescription I went to the exit only to be confronted by an African American male entering through the exit door. His eyes looked bloodshot and he was sick. I asked him to use the enter door he said yea, yea. Then another African American female was using exit door to enter I said use enter door and she said you are taking this too seriously. If you value your life do not use this Target. No one is monitoring the enter and exit doors. read more

This Tarjay has been recently remodeled to look like all the other Tarjays in the area, which means several things. First, there are gigantic red balls out front - does anyone else want to play dodgeball when you see them, or is that just me? Second, the new shopping baskets are nice and have cushy, grippy handles. Third, they added a nice cafe area and a SBUX, if that's your thing. Finally, the interior is brighter and more open. Several notes about this Tarjay: 1) No photo studio 2) Very small grocery section 3) Less crowded than the Columbia location, which can only mean 1 thing: the clearance bins aren't cleared out! Don't you just love those little red price tags? They give me little warm fuzzies in my cheap, frugal heart. 4) Managers seem pretty good about opening up new registers when the lines get long. 5) The customer service people I've encountered are machines - one woman was cursing at them in no less than 2 languages and they handled the transaction unfazed. Gangsta! 6) They have tons of diapers in stock and at lower prices than most other stores. Couple musings Re: Tarjay. 1) Despite fairly similar offerings, somehow Tarjay has distinguished itself from WalMart as the classier of the two. For instance, when you get a Tarjay gift card, you respond with, "SWEET!" And though I've never received a WalMart gift card, I imagine my response would be, "Cheap jerk!" 2) When did it become cool to shop for clothes at these places? Growing up in PG county, you didn't dare get caught in something from KMart. 3) Those cheap DVD displays near the checkout are the bane of my existence.
