(optional: If you're with your husband send him off to the electronics) (optional: If you're a teacher browse the $1 bins) Step 3: Lean on your basket and guide it to the clothing. Spend five minutes perusing the regular priced items. Spend five-ten minutes browsing the 75% off clearance, then the 50% off clearance, then the 30% off clearance items. Step 4: Guide your rolling cart to the shoes. Aimlessly try on a few pairs of shoes. Munch your popcorn. After browsing the shoes quickly look over the accessories. (10 minutes) Step 5: Roll your cart to the home decor section. Spend twenty minutes looking at comforters/duvet sets, touch furniture, flip through the canvas art, and looking through the clearance aisles. Step 6: Wonder into the electronics. Look down in your cart...and see the things you "need". Start thinking if you really "need" all of those items. (five minutes) Step 7: Roll down the food aisles. (10-15 minutes) Step 8: End up in the beauty section. Place all kinds of lip stains and E.L.F. products you do not need in the basket. (10 minutes) Step 9: Check out some greeting cards. This store is doing the right thing during this corona virus pandemic by limiting quantities on items that are in demand such as Lysol wipes and TP. The service is very friendly and there were no lines to speak of with all registers open including self checkout. They even had a security guard at the front entrance. read more

I always find what I need here. The staff is super helpful. I think it's understaffed, but they try their best. Today I went to get some stuff and only took a basket. When I got to electronics, I realize that the items I wanted to get were bigger than I thought. The staff member in electronics helped me get a cart. I've had other staff members help me find what I need and offer advice. For example, the cashier saw that I was purchasing toys and recommended I use a coupon on the Target app saving me $25. He was so nice and very friendly. I generally have a really great experience here. read more

How could anyone not love this Target? The prices are great, the selection is vast and stylish, and it's in a convenient location with ample parking. This is a decent Target, but it's definitely not one of the better stores that I've shopped at. The location is convenient enough, and parking is fairly simple. My biggest gripe? They were out-of-stock on many common items like salt and pepper, large mailing envelopes, and so forth. Those aren't on sale and on sale for a limited time, either -- they're just your everyday kind of items! This location does have a ton of self-checkout kiosks, so that is a definite plus. read more

I bought what I thought was a brand new toaster at target two weeks ago after I moved and I opened the box and found old mildewed toast in the toaster and the toaster was filthy. How disgusting that target can re-package something that is filthy and has toast in the toaster. I truly hope management sees this yelp, which they probably won't. My husband and I used to shop a lot here a while back but the services always didn't seem genuine and rushed so we were hesitant to go in store today for an order pick up. But wow we were astonished with David's patience and great attitude! He helped us out with not only getting our order picked up but with checking out damaged product and it seemed genuine. And the value of the product was nice yes but it matters how we receive what we buy as consumers and today David really surpassed our expectations. While he was nice and patient, we saw other employees that were not on task and rude to other customers, it felt nice being attended appropriately around this. There needs to be more employees like him in the service area! In the store in general! We hope he can get some sort of acknowledgment! read more

I was standing in line at Starbucks watching the workers struggle to get a single drink made while the manger or the lady that sets the schedule realized she had put a trainee on to work BY HIMSELF! And then proceeded to ask a different coworker that doesn't work at Starbucks how his freaking day was while they are still struggling to get the first 3 drinks out. Not only that but NONE of the target employees seemed to care that they where struggling they just kept coming up to the front of the line asking about there damn drinks as if there wasn't a line of 10 people waiting while there Starbucks workers are still trying to take other people's orders. The Redwood City store Manager, Andrew said they will not comply to other Target store like Fashion Island with the return policy even when I have the original receipt with credit card that was used. Andrew said the Redwood City Target will not comply with other San Mateo nor the Fashion Island store Manager that follow Target return policies and said to me that any items MUST be returned at the original store where purchased or I return it another day on another trip, to try returning then. WTH?!? This Target always appears so messy to me and almost borderline dirty. They always have a line and it's unavoidable. I have always had a negative experience here... I wish their cashiers were more trained on how to scan products at the register and to know when promotions are. I had bought two participating items that qualified for a $5 gift card and the screen froze up because the cashier was supposed to scan my gift card and then proceed to scan the remaining products in my basket. She didn't understand why the POS system wasn't scanning, I'm a consumer and even I know why.... Just read the screen lady and read what it's telling you to do!! I almost felt embarrassed because I felt like I was holding up the line because this lady didn't know how to work the system. Other than that fiasco I've never really found good selection of products here. They need to do a better job at restocking inventory or at least keep track. I came to get uniforms and under garments for my grandson. Brenda was very helpful! She even checked back stock on items that was empty on the shelf. Brenda gets 5 stars for her Customer service. 06/25/2019 Christian Gets 5 Stars today. I came in to get coffee and cereal. Christian was restocking the cereal aisle. I asked him if he had a specific cereal on his restocking cart, and he didn't have it. But He told me to wait and he would go check back stock. And he came back with several boxes. I have a love/hate relationship with this Target. Love because, it's Target and who doesn't, and hate because they are utterly terrible at inventory management. There are roughly 0.5 days a month when they actually have women's clothing of all sizes in stock, if you go the other c.30.5 days, everything is XXXL mega giant tent clothing. Same with beauty products, if you're lucky it's a wallet-emptying bounty of international products (No. 7, La Roche Posay, Avene etc), if you're there on the wrong day you can have 1 type of aggressive face mask and some hairloss shampoo. If you have time, drive to one of the South Bay ones, they're much better. read more

I don't buy electronics so I'm cool in that department. Bikes, I'd rather buy from an actual bike shop w trained and experienced bike mechanics. My kid is over 10 so I'm glad those expensive diaper days are long gone for me! Seems like they cost more w less quantity the bigger them lil shits get! Now I spend on Legos!!!! Never ends! I don't do junk food so the food isles and Pizza Hut don't tempt me. Once in a while I'll crave a coffee. But I know that they're Licensed to sell Starbucks (which I don't care for that brand) so the $ goes to Target and and the Baristas get paid regular minimum wages w no tips so I'll skip that department too. Anyhow, the grocery department is nice. The kid's clothing is fun when they're toddlers. Gets boring the older they get. I did have fun once with their $1 section. Bought a buncha plastic Slinkies to make our own Valentine's Day cards to take to my Son's class party instead of junk food and candy. The kids loved them! I love Target and wish they were in way more locations! I have been shopping at this Target ever since I was little. When I was growing up, I loved that their food court featured slurpees along with other not-so-healthy-but-delicious food items. As I grew up, they added a Starbucks for my adult drink fix! 3.5 stars. Ok, so my latest Redwood City Target experience was much better than my last. I had time to kill before meeting up with Jeannette, and needed to return an item. Pulled into the parking lot, and immediately found a spot right by the front entrance. Surprisingly, there wasn't a line at the customer service counter (which is usually about 3 people deep). The cashier was friendly and super efficient! Realizing that I had even more time to spare, I strolled over to the books, music, and video/dvd section. Exhibiting restraint, I limited myself to procuring a couple of dvds on sale, and immediately walked straight to the checkout area. Picked a line with one person in front of me, and was finished in a flash. It was a pleasant and efficient Target run, with no crazy screaming kids! This store was a nightmare. Staff don't wear gloves, it's overcrowded, there is no control about store capacity, social distancing is not enforced, and when people are half wearing masks no one cares. I was waiting in line to pick up an online order and I ended up standing at the end of the check out lines, in the aisle of people leaving, and near the pick up area. Sound confusing? Because there was literally nowhere I could have been waiting. No one cares about giving you space and the markers on the ground for distancing are not clear, and don't accommodate for longer lines (i.e. beyond a two person line). If you care about cdc protocols and your health, please do NOT visit this particular Target. read more

As well are used to go to CVS in Broadway but the lines went for too long and I found it target Has its on CVS so I switch that as well and I love the service I received it. I want to thank specially to the cashier that has giving me amazing service all the time to me and my family it's going to be Ronald and as well Cheryl. They both have gone beyond to help my family. today visit this location and I was looking for a specific surprise toy for my son I was assisted by Lennon and he actually found the toy that I was looking and he make sure my son did not see it so he kept it a surprise so thank you so much for giving me that beyond service. read more

This place should win an award for most mismanaged store in retail. I went here two days with my mom so that she could buy a Switch for game each of my twins. I walked back and forth through the electronics department, but couldn't find anyone. I then tried a courtesy phone which immediately was fast busy. Finally, I walked all the way back the entrance to speak with someone in Customer Service. There was only a single person behind the counter and the line was long, so I found a nearby employee with a walkie talkie and asked to speak with her manager. She made three attempts and never heard back, shrugged her shoulders and pointed to another employee who seemed to be consciously trying to avoid eye contact with everyone. He grunted an acknowledgement and then headed towards the electronics department with me in tow. After he opened the cases, he handed me the two games and took off without saying another word. Never have I struggled so much to give a business my money, but since they don't seem to want it, I'll head to Best Buy next time. I go home angry every time I shop at this Target - angry because they're close to my house so I keep going back, yet I don't want to give them any more of my money. I use Amazon Prime now because of them, for goodness' sake. Bottom line - it's dirty, messy, disorganized, understocked, and often has things mis-marked or not marked at all. I am constantly buying things at one price when I saw it marked for a different price. There is rarely anyone around to help and when you do find someone, they do not know where to find things in the store! If you're looking for shoes, good luck - you can't make it into the aisle because there's always such a mountain of unshelved shoes blocking your way. If you're looking for groceries, anything fresh is usually looking very sad, milk is often sold out, and the bread aisle has been reduced by at least 50% in the last few months. Baby stuff? They run out of the main brands constantly. Maybe it's just the clientele... often I come here at like 10 pm to escape a long day with kids and the place is packed with people and their little kids who are tired and need to be in bed! One time I watched a dad let his kids chase people around the store on a motorized special needs scooter (which I honestly could have used at the time because I was hugely pregnant). I was always a big fan of Target before this one. If you live closer to another Target, especially the ones in San Mateo or Cupertino, go there instead. read more

This is one of the most disorganized Targets I've ever been in. The staff are also incredibly rude - I've had them pretend to not speak English and then get very huffy when I ask the same question in Spanish. They have weird, glaring holes in what they don't carry that other Targets do. They just added a "fresh grocery" section. To be fair, I haven't bought groceries from Target but it seems to have displaced a lot of other things I did buy. As usual with a Target, the plus-size clothes are mixed in with and hidden behind the maternity clothes - crammed in behind the men's socks-and-underwear racks - it makes both types of clothes hard to find and frustrating to shop for. Other Targets have a non-Christmas holiday goods selection (you know, Chanukah cards, solstice-themed wrap without Santa or Baby Jesus, stuff that isn't red-and-green) - not this Target. They looked at me like I had three heads when I asked about Chanukah cards or other non-Christmas holiday cards and suggested "maybe in the front with birthday cards?" I like this Target - it has a Starbucks in there! This Target is pretty busy whenever I go, but if I purchase something in the pharmacy area like vitamins, bandaids, along with my other items, I just pay at the Pharmacy and there's usually no one in line. Most of the people at the Pharmacy are nice and will ring you up, so you can get in and out quickly. (They will probably get mad at me for saying this) Also, I love the price scanners they have in certain areas. Next to the scanner is a red phone. One time, I couldn't reach the cereal on the top shelf and picked up the red phone and a recording says that someone will help you in 60 seconds. And the best part - it's true!! Someone came in 20 seconds to the post I was at.. That's so awesome! It's the little things that make me happy. Returns are easy at Target too - if you put your items on a credit card you don't need a receipt to return your items. Just give them your credit card and product and you're done. On December 21st, 2017, I was supposed to go to a graduation but couldn't make it due to reasons of family disagreement so instead I made it to this Target to do some Christmas shopping. I must say this location is pretty nice because everything I need can easily be found. I had no problems driving to this location and finding parking. The inside of the Target is pretty regular but a lot bigger than Santa Clara county Targets. For last minute holiday shopping it's really convenient if you work in San Francisco and need some retail therapy. They have a nice eating area which gets a lot of traffic which is good because they don't serve just pizza and hot dogs but much more hot items. Drawback: the parking lot is extremely cramped and getting back on the freeway is not easy once you are done shopping. Love this target. It's my "home" store considering that it is less than 2 miles from my house. Great selection, good staff. I can always find what I need here or find someone to help me. I've never had an issue with the staff here. No one is overly friendly or excited but they are helpful. Went to Target to get a prescription. Stood in line for a short time and got it, plus they rang up a few other things that I had. Pharmacist was very nice and offered to explain the Rx received. This store has everything you may regularly want. It had recently added a decor area to help decorate your house. Some of the items looked really good. If you ever needed any help there are several helpful kiosks in the store to price items or you can lift the phone recever and dial for an associate to come and assist you or just to tell you where items are. Most of the time the phones work but occasionally the price checker will not work and you have to go looking for another kiosk. Overall a nice clean store which sells about everything you may want. This place is just alright. Good: it's a convenient distance from where I live and they often have what I am looking for in stock. Less good: the register lines can get super long and the wait at the customer service desk longer than expected, even though I've never had a problem with picking up or returning any items. Does anyone in here speak English for crying out loud? I was looking for an item and inquired with a sales girl, who gave me a blank look. She didn't understand a word of what I said but held up her finger for me to wait. So. She brought another sales girl over to me (who supposedly spoke English) and I repeated my question. The second girl then led me on a wild goose chase because she didn't understand what I wanted. Not a clue. She pretended to look for the item and then told me they didn't have it. If I can order Banana Boat's self tanner online for pickup at this store, then why the he!! can't you find it??????? The stock clerks just about run you over when they're stocking items. I appreciate that stock carts are heavy to push, but good manners could go a long way and make me want to come back. Thou shalt not run down customers while loading your stock. The lady who said this Target was full of screaming, undisciplined kids hit the nail on the head. Their parents don't seem to have an inkling of what good manners are and obviously don't care, either.
