I used to love this location. However, the last few years, it has gone downhill. The employees would rather talk to their coworkers than help out customers. I waited 10 minutes by boxers that are behind glass, which who knows why they have boxers behind glass now. But I had to wait 10 minutes for an associate to come after 10 minutes I decided to find someone and when I found them they were talking to the co-worker and I told them I said oh I pressed this thing and they said. Oh yeah, I heard it, and that was their acknowledgment. So I really don't think you guys should have those glasses especially behind boxers, but if that is the case, the at least hired some people that actually wanted to do the job instead of wanting to talk to a coworker and helping somebody read more

I found a bread baking pan online for $7. I placed my order online and paid. Within 30 minutes my product was ready to be picked up. As soon as I arrived I notified target that I had arrived and that I was parked in space #2. Within 5 minutes the nice girl came to my window and I had my order. I was on my way home! Paid online for a quick and easy pick up. The employees here are slow as molasses and lazy. It is embarrassing and annoying that Target's employees won't walk and get the items for the order, instead the customer does. When the items are brought to the employees for a simple check out, they say that the customer must wait for 2 hours until their order is ready! WTH is wrong with Target and the employees?! Target really has gone down the drain, especially this location. I expected better service from this location, but these people let themselves down. Go somewhere else if you want a smooth experience. 2 minutes later the employee scans my pick up order code like there was never any problem. I came here specifically for the animal crossing items. They never seem to have a great selection at the Oak Ridge target so I came to the south target and they had everything I wanted! My main focus was the metal Tumblr which I wanted for so long, they had all of the available prints and I chose the able sisters purple pattern. When I took it home I found that the tea strainer was actually a little difficult to take out of the Tumblr but I think in the long run I will prefer that because it means when I go to drink tea I won't have to worry about the metal strainer falling out. I didn't realize they had animal crossing journals, so when I saw these I almost jumped up and down for joy! I loved each and every one of the patterns and honestly if I had the space I would have purchased every single one BUT I don't so I had to settle for picking one. I chose the able sisters purple pattern to match the Tumblr that I got. Next I saw they had the animal Crossing gift box, I'm not entirely sure that that is what it's called but that's what I refer to it as. It has such amazing items in it and I really loved every single one, my only let down was the stress ball. It was shaped like a peach and it looked exactly as the picture showed but it is not a stress ball, it's actually just one of those really lightweight squishy's. Still a lot of fun but not exactly as advertised. Lastly they had this adorable giant Pikachu head mug. I have this obsession with mugs and I have been toning it down so unfortunately I did not splurge and buy it but if you see one you absolutely have to buy one! I was also thinking because of how big it is and it has the little handle on it because it is a mug, you could even dual purpose it and make it into a little planter for a succulent or some thing in home! read more

I assume Madalyn is a Manager because she is proactive to greet guests and also make sure their shopping experience is great, they found everything. I had a couple suggestions for the store and she was both patient and eager to see what the customers thought would make the store better. High energy, great at listening. I also liked and noticed that she treats the staff and employees with a lot of respect. I've seen other Targets where some managers seem like they can't wait to throw their Team Members "under the bus." They'll do it loud and intentionally in front of other customers. But Madalyn is the opposite. She's positive and cheerful. And she is able to have that balance of making the guests feel listened to, and still treat her staff and co-workers with positivity and support. read more

Update: they seem to have gotten better about keeping the shelves stocked! However, they still seem to always only have 2 registers open even on busy times that I'm there. Makes the check out process extremely slow The past few times I've been to this Target a large majority of the shelves are empty. How am I supposed to get the things I need when there is virtually nothing in the store? Any day of the week I go in there I have the same issue. Managers need to step up and make sure they're reordering items and that the shelves are restocked as soon as possible. Also, two other times that I've come to this store there have been no carts or baskets in the front area - so I had to wait around for about 10 minutes before someone brought them in finally and I could start my shopping. This store allows teens on bikes and scooters to roam free inside, playing with carts and scooters meant for handicapped patrons. A team member told me there was nothing they could do about it. Why does management prefer loud rowdy teens over actual shoppers who spend money there. I'll be shopping elsewhere. read more

I haven't been here in ages. Came by since I was at the hospital. The target itself is nice and updated. They had everything stocked on the shelves and I enjoyed walking through the store. My gripes from my visit. 1) didn't see any security. I had kids with me and felt a little insecure with panhandling outside while they also sifted through the trash can in front of the store. 2). The self check out machines ran out of paper receipt. Usually in other stores there is someone watching the kiosks to ensure things are clean and working. Nothing here. I had to tell someone about the two kiosks but they didn't seam to pay attention while I was leaving the store without a receipt from my purchase since it didn't have paper. 3). Not enough cashiers, only two cashiers and about 6 vested target folks lingering near the entrance talking and goofing off, see #2. 4). Some teenagers were throwing a football around the store and nearly hit a child where the child's dad was really upset and evil eying the teenagers. Could have been prevented. When I shop here, there are a few things to consider... #1: I need to find something that will help me get through the day. That is why I get Red Bull Energy drinks when I come here. #2: I expect Target to have better selection quality than Wal-Mart. Every Monday, I stop by here to see if there are any new toys/collectibles. Sometimes, I find some good shit. Other times, they have absolutely NOTHING. Today, I have a nice Mario plush. #3: The more expensive prices from Target are Much better quality than cheap Chinese-quality goods from Wal-Mart. Other times, Wal-Mart's prices are more expensive than Target's. I like to get food from here if the price is right. Suffice to say, this Target is way better than any Wal-Mart. Possibly the worst run target in the Bay Area: perennially understaffed, no carts, understocked, and surprisingly dirty for such a new store. Staff levels are insufficient to even regularly keep open the food court. Hit one of the other area stores until they find someone in who knows how to operate a store properly. read more

Their store brand is more expensive than Walmart but the quality is slightly higher. I don't buy everything here because a lot of their items you can find for cheaper on Amazon but if you look around and look at the tag specials and weekly deals, then you can save money. Searched for an iPad and found out valley fair apple had one I was looking for. I drove to the location because for whatever reason, it wouldn't work. Walked into the line for no appointments. After a short wait, the associate asked what I was there for. I told them and was told that since I have no appointment, I would have to come back the next day. I said that I don't want to look and ready to buy. I was told they can't bring it out. I asked if I could pay first. I was told no. So looked around, found this target location had it. Walked in requested it amd walked out in 20 minutes. I believe common sense is needed to run businesses in the current environment. This review is more a compliment of apple, but I have to give target credit for a quick turnaround. With the Covid, you should want people in amd out of the stores to limit exposure. Target does a great job of listing essential items in front of the store, sanitizing stations, stating purchase limits, etc. My first world problem was not being able to find cake mix or cake flour but I guess being at home gives everyone time to bake. They had a decent amount of soap and water when I stoped by at 10 am on a Thursday. read more

QUICKLY turning ghetto... It's a nice, big store and when it first went up and opened, it looked like they really cared and kept things clean. But over the past year, the parking lot is full of trash, idiots doing doughnuts in their cars and homeless people begging for money by the front doors. Security is a complete joke, they have cameras all over that parking lot but you're on your own. They must be fake cameras or something. Low-lifes are CONSTANTLY combing that lot for smash-n-grabs from cars. Don't leave anything valuable in your car if you go there! Somebody trashed, shot-up and burned a car in the parking lot and it sat there for 2 months before residents got fed up and called the management as well as the city to get rid of it. Love shopping at Target! Whether it be for clothes, technology, housewares or food, you cannot go wrong shopping at Target. I especially like their return policy, which is pretty easy. As long as you paid with a credit card, no receipt is necessary. I like this!! Prices are reasonable and selection varies when it comes to clothing. Check out the clearance rack- especially right when seasons change. Timing is important for seasonal items, so grab them when you can. I'm a Target regular and plan to continue to shop there. I went to Target in hopes to find the Apple Watch 7 series. I had just left Verizon and they were not very good with their help to meet my request. When I got to target I spoke with Zach Who was the tech team leader. He was very knowledgeable and he told us all the differences between the different watches he looked for an apple seven watch and came back and couldn't find the one we wanted. He told us to check online but first offered to check other Target stores. They didn't have any but he was very helpful in working with us. During the pandemic, this target always restocked very slowly, always ran out of essential products. And the carts were supposed to be cleaned, and they have people to clean the carts. I needed to do some last minute Christmas shopping. The roommate and I were going to have lunch in the area, so we stopped by this Target on Thursday, December 22nd around 1:30pm. I was looking for clothing for a 6 month old girl and a 3 year old boy. The boy was easier to shop for as they had more of a selection of cute tops for toddlers and kids. I had a hard time finding outfits for the baby girl. Ended up getting a cute pink furry onesie type jacket and a package of basic onsies in size 6-9 month. I was also looking for a toy for the boy. I know it was a couple days before Christmas, so I shouldn't expect much of a selection, but I had a hard time finding something. After browsing the aisles over and over again, I ended up getting a Cars racetrack toy since that seemed the most fun of all the age appropriate toys. I realized I had forgotten to bring all my wrapping stuff down to SJ, so I also bought some stuff to wrap my gifts in: wrapping paper, tags, bows, ribbon, tape, etc. They have a huge section for Christmas type items, so I had no problem finding what I needed. Plus, the wrapping paper was really cute. It had Olaf from Frozen on it! Not the best Target to go shopping right before Christmas, but at least I found what I needed. read more

This store only gets the 2 stars that it does because it is a fairly convenient place to find many items I need. The other missing stars are due to how this place is run and staffed. First off, I will say there are about 4 employees that I see regularly who are friendly and seem to be doing a good job. However, the majority of these "workers" are totally useless. Many of them are on their phones on the floor while dragging carts or stocking, they shout over aisles to each other, and no one ever asks if you need help. I've heard several inappropriate conversations between co-workers while they stock shelves, and the last time I was there the checker who rang up my items kept scowling at me like a psycho...never greeted me or said a word throughout the transaction. These are surely the same type of employees that want a living wage for doing a high schooler's job and yet their performance is exactly why automation will replace them. Lastly, I realize this is a large store with a lot of product but it needs a night crew to stock. Every single time I go there are unmanned carts full of product blocking the aisle at some point in at least 40% of the aisles. It always looks like they're in a state of preparing to open.
