They have a mobile app now. This is important as they're a completely cashless restaurant now. I ordered for pickup after working nearby. It takes about 20 minutes from order to food, give or take, but it's made fresh vs premade like some other faster places. I'll take the trade off of time for quality, especially for Indian style food. The food is always well spiced - I like heat - and their menu is clear on what can be ordered to different heat levels. Signing up for the app gets you a free appetizer! I used that for a $5.50 discount on the $8 appetizer wings (they have an up charge). Great place for a little Indian flavor fare!

Food was good. Nothing knocked my socks off, but it was all good and fairly priced. Not spicy at all, though you can request spicy and specify spice level

Paneer and veggie coconut curry on the left and Mattar paneer on the right. Both are tasty.

I took one star for their portion size/price decrease. I get they raised prices but why they decreased portions at the same time... Food taste is still good and service is nice. I am not sure about cleanliness in the back, while waiting I noticed employees with no hair nets and the guy used bathroom without taking his apron off.

Love the service here! Super friendly and helpful. I ordered the Mirch Masala with Lamb and because this is more "American" I requested it EXTRA spicy (mild if there were Indian chefs back there lol) so it was the perfect level of spice. The lamb was nice and tender. I'd definitely recommend. *Don't forget to check-in for 10% off

Tikka Masala Curry Bowl with Chicken

My buddy and I came here for lunch after stopping by at Spec's to pick up my keg. The wait time here was fast when we came. It wasn't busy at all. I ordered the Tikka Masala Curry Bowl with Chicken and my buddy ordered Tikka Masala Curry Bowl with Lamb. It seemed like he got a lot more protein in his than I did with my chicken. Needless to say the food was very delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. They even had to deal with a rude customer who cut in line in front of us and the customer continued to be especially rude to the staff. However, the staff were professional and still managed to keep their composure with the rude customer. Parking is a breeze a because there is plenty of parking in the shopping center. I want to come back again and try the they items on the menu out. There is definitely some kick to the hot spice. But overall great flavor!

I came here today for a little lunch date. It was my first time trying Indian food and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the garlic naan, chicken tikka marsala, & the vegetable samosas. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was great too. It is a very small but comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely be back soon

One of the better places I have been to for Indian food in Austin. The Garlic Nan is well seasoned, very soft and chewy, perfect to complement any dish! The coconut curry is spicy and flavorful! If my open could use more vegetables but overall a solid option. Grateful for the many vegetarian/vegan options here!

After trying the chicken tikka masala and the coconut curry Lamb, I do have to give it a 5 star for flavor and also good customer service. I was greeted at the door and had an awesome service. The spices are on point. The three times, dishes were consistent with temperature, freshness of the meats and great portion sizes. It has become one of my go-to places from now on.

Our spread. Top regular portion lamb biryani. Bottom kids chicken biryani.

Tasty and modern! Had chicken and lam biriyani for dinner the other night. I had the kids bowl - chicken and my partner had the full lamb portion. We both opted for medium level spice. However, the chicken was created more modestly. We also got a side of roti. Over all the rice to meat ratio is a bit high. 4:1 is what I would estimate. The flavors are there. I also got the mango lemonade with my kids meal and it was delicious, very tangy but mango heavy. I added a bit of water and it was perfect. Their craft sodas are delicious! All of our items cost us $21 including tip.

The butter chicken was rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced without being heavy. The biryani came in giant portions and stood out with a unique flavor profile that set it apart from the usual versions. The samosas were solid and classic, while the pepper chicken brought a nice, satisfying spice. The chicken korma was especially memorable--different from most versions we've tried, in a really good way. The restaurant is quiet and relaxed for dinner, making it a great spot to actually enjoy your meal and company with your loved ones. Portions are large and great for lunch the next day. Located in a busy shopping center with several popular restaurants, this one truly deserves more love. We'll definitely be back.

Please remember they make their dishes per order and this takes time. A good curry or biryani is not made in 15 minutes. We ordered several dishes. To start we had the samosas, pakoras, and my child had the children's chicken lollypop appetizer. For the main dishes we had the hydrabadi chicken biryani, aloo chole, and my child had the keema child's biryani. We also had the mint cilantro chutney and it reminds me of homemade chutney. All were very flavorful and very fresh. My aloo was served with a good portion of rice. All the portions were large. We ate here on Sunday and we still have leftover biryani and I'm finishing my aloo. One thing we noticed that was odd compared to where I usually visit was the server. They were kind of awkward at first and had the "melinneal stare." BUT consider that people can be neurodivergent! The service was great and prompt. It was a bit warm, but the server heard our comments and went and moved a big fan they had out to combat how warm it was. I highly recommend trying them out! To the chefs - please please please put the tomato dahl you have on your online ordering! I'd come here weekly to taste your version.

Even though it's pretty basic amongst so many other dishes they had, I got the Chicken Tikka Masala, medium spice. The portion size is pretty good, and the dish had a generous amount of chicken in it. It also came with a side of rice. I enjoyed the flavor! I'd say for medium spice it wasn't that spicy - felt more like a mild to me. Honestly, I'm pretty surprised to have found good Indian food in Round Rock. Despite the good food, I'm knocking off a star due to the fairly slow service. We were sitting outside so I'm not sure if at times they forgot about us, but I ended up having to walk in the store to ask someone to take our order because no one had come in a while. Our food also came out at different times; the first few dishes came, and then it felt like there was a solid ~5-8 minutes before the rest of the dishes came.

We came in about 45 minutes after opening time, we were greeted and seated promptly. We were then offered drinks! We chose water , which was at room temp ( disappointing). Then the host walked us through how the buffet works. My disappointment was that we came in pretty early(12:30) and the buffet wasn't really ready for the public . Beyond that the buffet includes naan tableside - which was 1/2 of a naan and wasn't included in the buffet price ( disappointing). So our understanding was if you ask for more naan ! One of the most memorable dishes we had was a special that our server highly recommended--and it was truly a showstopper. I wish I had gotten the exact name because I can't find it on their online menu, but visually and flavor-wise it was stunning. It came wrapped and cooked in a banana leaf, layered with rich, velvety saag, what tasted like thin dosa or chapati layers, egg, aromatic spices, tender chunks of meat, and curry, all melded together into this beautifully perfumed, steamy package. It was served with a cooling yogurt sauce and a chili sauce that balanced the heat perfectly. The presentation alone was gorgeous, and the flavors were deep, earthy, and incredibly comforting. We also ordered the curry goat, which was delicately spiced with a wonderful, slow-building heat. The meat was tender, the gravy rich without being heavy, and it paired perfectly with the simple white rice that let the complex spices shine. The tandoori goat chops were the family favorite by far. Everyone loved the smoky char and bold marinade. Personally, I found them a bit softer than I prefer, but the flavor was outstanding--robust, well-seasoned, and unmistakably tandoori. Finally, we ordered the Tandoori Pomfret to go, and I had it later with rice porridge. It was absolutely scrumptious. The fish was fragrant, beautifully spiced, and still juicy, making it the perfect comfort meal with the warm, soothing porridge. Overall, Subham Chettinad Grill delivers authentic, soulful Indian cooking with layers of spice, heat, and aroma that feel both traditional and thoughtfully prepared. If you're looking for real South Indian and Chettinad-style flavors in Austin, this place is a must-try.
