TASSIO Temperature Control Inc. 21026 Osborne St Unit 3 Canoga Park, CA 91304 DEAR TASSIO - We have lived in our home for over 20 years and we love it. Over time however we realized that our old air conditioning system (probably installed in the 1960's) was on its last leg, even though we invested a substantial amount of funds over the years to bring the system back to life. Sadly, it had many issues, one of which was leaking air ducts. Although we tried to extend the life of our HVAC system, on August 27, 2022 our system decided to crash/fail for good. My wife and I panicked. We were experiencing a record-breaking heatwave. My first thought was "What the %^$#@*!!!" There were no other options, we had to replace our system - immediately! I recalled that our neighbor had their system replaced not too long ago, so I decided to speak to them. They told me they had used a company called TASSIO and they were very satisfied with their service. They gave me all their contact information and suggested we contact them which we did. On August 31, 2022 a TASSIO employee named Avo Avedian, their HVAC Technician, showed up at my home early for our appointment. Upon entering our home, I'm sure he saw sweat running down my face and could feel my frustration. Avo went right to work, analyzing my entire system, going into the attic (which was well over 100 degrees) and told us what we already suspected, we needed to replace our entire system. We then sat down and went over the logistics of what we needed do in order to update our HVAC system with the more efficient Lennox HVAC system. We completed the necessary paperwork and agreed September 19, 2022 would be the start date. Avo put our mind at ease and assured us that the removal and replacement of the AC system would be painless and that he would support us through the entire process. Before leaving, Avo was able to jump-start our old system and thus providing us Senior Citizens with temporary A/C. The old system ran with no issues until replacement. Avo kept in-touch throughout, to make sure the old system continued to operate until the replacement was installed. OUTSTANDING!!! On Monday September 19, 2022 the TASSIO Team begin the removal of our old HVAC system. Two days later, Wednesday Sep. 21 2022, my new Lennox HVAC was operational. MY HOME FELT GREAT!!! I would be remiss not to mention and give a Great Deal of Credit to DANNY, CHAVA, SERGIO and JUAN. These Technicians were so particular about how the equipment was installed. The care they took to my home, flooring and walls was superb and we were really impressed with their expertise and professional attitude. These Technicians: 1. Removed the old Equipment 2. Installed the new Elite Series Furnace 3. Installed nine new Air Ducts 4. Installed (2)12-20 Return Attic Air Ducts 5. Relocated the A/C unit 6. Installed Lennox 4 TON Series16 SEER 7. Installed Nest Thermostat 8. And much more At the end of each work day, before leaving, they vacuumed their work area both inside and outside my home and cleaned all debris from the driveway. I had 7 estimates to replace my 25-year-old furnace and air conditioning system.  I was in Costco and signed up for an estimate from Costco.  It seems that Costco uses an outside vendor AZ. Who said I have to wait 9 days to get an estimate, so since I wasn't in a hurry, I used that time to set up 7 other estimates.  I went to Lennox and got 3 dealers in my area that were Premier dealers.  I also set up others Carrier and so on.  Well AZ was first and after waiting 9 days to get my estimate I was very disappointed by them.  Once I told Edson, the salesman for AZ/working under Costco, that I was having the other Premier Lennox dealers, the tenor of the estimate changed, Edson said that the others would be cheaper, but the quality and the warranty and service would be substandard to Costco.  I told him I'd like an estimate for a 3-ton 14 seer, and furnace. He said I would have it by the weekend---3 days.  Tassio was the second, Steven, was great.  His whole manner was different.  He was able to answer all my questions, and his knowledge of his equipment was great.  The 7 estimates were over 2 days.  1 gave me the estimate while he was in the house.  Tassio was the next day, and the other with in 2 days.  AZ didn't send one.  I was waiting from them to make a decision.  13 days after the estimate, since I had no response from AZ. I called Costco and they said they would check into it. The next day, I got an estimate and a phone call from AZ.  I was just shocked.  Their estimate was for the exact same equipment-----model number ---the estimates were basically the same equipment, labor and warranty.  The other companies were basically the same.  Tassio had the best labor and I liked the estimate best.  I also checked the BBB no complaints---compared to the others, so I went with Tassio------Oh by the way AZ----estimate, equipment, labor and warranty was exactly the same---but they wanted 15,000 plus service agreements  and all the others were about 8,000.  I just don't understand that Costco uses them and allows them to use their name, and their house heating and cooling needs.   It really pays to get other estimates.  Anyway, Tassio was great.  Sergio and Mario can in to install the equipment.  No problems---they were very professional and knew their trade.  I liked that the owner Bill Tassio came out and that he takes an active interest in his companies work.  I was also able to talk with him and he was very helpful.  Steven came out later and help to set up the Google Nest thermostat and everything is working great.  I would definitely recommend this company. We just had Tassio install an HVAC system from the ground up in our 1924 house, including removing wall heaters, adding ductwork, and putting a package unit on the roof. Everyone we worked with was great. Jim, who sold us the system, gave us a lot of information about what they would be doing and how they would be doing it. We had a lot of questions, and he was always happy to answer them. Nathan helped us design the system and decide where we'd put the registers. We had a special case for our living room because of a barrel ceiling, so we ended up putting registers on the floor there. Some of the other companies we'd talked to seemed annoyed at this request because it would definitely increase the complexity of the install, but Nathan and Jim seemed to understand how important it was to us and were totally willing to accommodate us regardless of the difficulty of that request. They were also able to get started on the job soon after we decided to go for it, which was wonderful, because it is August and we wanted to get A/C ASAP. We have very small attic and crawl spaces, and already had blown-in insulation in the attic and batts under the floors, so I know it was not easy getting everything set up, but the guys who did the install (Sergio, Steven, and Kyle... I think there may have been one or two others here and there but I don't remember their names) were courteous and professional and got the job done. We bought the brand new Ecobee3 thermostat, and Andy hooked it up for us in a matter of minutes. It took 4 days total to do the whole install, which I think was a good speed for the amount of work that needed to be done. Another thing I really liked was that Nathan and Jim were there on the first day of the install, and Jim or Bill stopped by at some point each day to make sure everything was going well. A lot of times with home improvement, there seems to be a disconnect between the initial sales meetings and the work being done. We've definitely had some bad experiences with that type of thing happening in the past, so I was very pleased that in this case, everyone was communicating and making sure things were getting done according to plan. Overall, I'm very happy with Tassio and would certainly recommend them to anyone who needs an HVAC contractor. read more

Reading my review might save you big $$$$! Turns out I was getting ripped off by my previous a/c company, who was charging me for parts that were covered under Carrier's warranty. My gut was telling me something wasn't right (I have a 3 year old high efficiency Carrier unit), so I decided call Tassio for a second opinion after reading their great Yelp reviews, before having my usual guy fix my heater that was "not covered under warranty." Best decision ever, as Tassio advised me the Carrier part WAS fully warrantied until 2021, and they replaced the inducer motor assembly that would have cost me over $800, and I paid only for labor. It was so worth their $65 diagnostic fee (which is applied towards the repair if you go with them). Before I contacted Tassio, I asked my electrician who I love, for an a/c guy referral, but he told me that he wouldn't actually recommend his a/c guy! Now I will share Tassio with him! Anyways, Andy was polite, professional, super knowledgeable, showed up early, diagnosed and fixed my heater, answered all my questions, everything you could ask for. Feels good to know there are honest people out there! Dana, the office manager, was very nice, prompt and helpful in scheduling and answering my specific questions about the warranty. If you suspect something with your a/c guy, I strongly suggest investing $65 for a second opinion from Tassio. If you're just looking for a good honest company, look no further. Amended 12/22/15: Wanted to say Thanks again to Tassio. Thanks to the information they provided, I was able to get my money back from my old heating & air conditioning guys for the part they charged me for that was under warranty. At first, they continued to insist it wasn't under warranty. So I said I would help them by contacting Carrier myself. Then they pretended that there was a misunderstanding and that they would pay me and then wait to get reimbursed from Carrier. It doesn't work like that. With your serial number, Carrier immediately lets you know if your part is under warranty, and the technician simply turns in your defective part in exchange for the new part. read more

The whole crew from start to finish were excellent. They were so quiet and respectful, you sometimes forgot they were there. From the start, with the bid from Tony and his thorough explanation from options to what needed to be done and the whole process, was very smooth. We never felt pressured to buy and questions were completely answered in detail. Tony followed up throughout the whole process and came by each day to make sure everything was going well and to answer any questions we may have had. The job was completed in two days from the very prompt and quiet arrival of Mario and Sergio, who quickly went to work and kept us informed of the whole process as they were going through it. They answered any and all questions. Steven came in and went to work on replacing the vents. The whole crew did a well choreographed change out of the system and duct work. Andy came in to finalize and dial-in the system, as well as, took the time to explain how to use the system and the icomfort thermostat. Tassio has been my go to heating and air company for years. We love, love, love the whole Tassio team, the greatest bunch of guys and Jenny is super nice as well. They replaced both my heater and air system many years ago and we have been completely satisfied. Their service is always A number one. I knew they were awesome, but was recently reminded of just how great they really are. My dad passed away several months ago and we have been fixing up his house to rent. I asked them to come check out my dads broken heaters because his house was freezing with this last cold snap. After looking at it, they recommended a new system as it's over 30 years old, but when I said I couldn't afford a new one they figured out how to order parts for an outdated system and fixed the two outdated heaters at very minimal price. They not only gave me a great price, but when they realized I was financially in a bind due to my fathers death they helped me out by allowing me to pay in a monthly installments until its paid in full. I had a problem with my central HVAC unit installed 10 months ago. After 3 weeks of calls the installing contractor sent a tech out. The tech did not know how to fix the problem. After that the contractor would not answer calls to texts messages. I contacted Jim at Tassio and he came out the next day with his team. They identified the installed system as an older system (even though I had just purchased it) and not properly installed to code. We hired Tassio to demo the old system and reinstall a new with proper permits. My wife and I weren't able to be home during the evaluation or the installation, instead we had Grandma come to the house. The techs were extremely professional and made Grandma feel at home in a house that was not her own. The install was finished in 3 days, and within a week of contacting Jim, we had AC. The technicians cleaned after they were finished, and the unit passed the city inspection with flying colors. Many thanks to Jim, Nathan, Miguel and the rest of the team. Made a call to Tassio on Monday morning to schedule for an HVAC / condensation line leak that we have been having at our home. The receptionist was very polite and thorough in taking our information down. Same day inspection scheduled for 11am-1pm. Was surprised (and pleased) to hear that the technician (Andy) would be coming early due to a cancellation. Andy was a true professional. He took the time to listen to our concerns, inspect the problem areas with us (that we observed) and of course completed his own due diligence and found the various issues we have been having with our HVAC unit. Must have been less than a 1/2 hour before Andy was able to find the problems, provided us with a detailed quote on the repairs, and most importantly, provided my wife and I with a detailed explanation of the problems we were having. He was a true gentlemen to the very end. I'm very pleased to have found this company and will gladly be relying on their services for routine maintenance along with referrals to friends and family members. Our AC system died during the hottest part of the summer and we were having difficultly finding a contractor. When I was driving around my neighborhood, I saw a Tassio Temperature Control truck, so I pulled over, walked up the house, and knocked on the door. Daniel, a Tassio employee, came outside to meet with me, even though it was his day off. He gave me a business card and suggested that I call the office to schedule an appointment. Within a few days, Tony was at my house, inspecting the old system. When he gave us the quote, he provided us with different options so we could choose which system worked best for us. On the first day of the installation, Steven, Ash, Sergio, and Mario arrived on time. All were polite and professional. They completed the installation within the two day estimate, and they left our home as neat as they found it. The next day, Tony followed up to make sure everything went well. Our outside AC unit made a horrible noise and stopped working in the middle of the last heat wave. I didn't know who to call but had just received the ValPak and there was an advertisement for Tassio. I called their office around noon and talked to a very nice person who apologized that they didn't have any same day appointments available. She said someone from the service department would call and set up an appointment. About 30 minutes later she called back and said that their Service Manager was on his way if that was OK. He arrived within the hour and in a matter of 15 minutes had diagnosed and fixed the problem. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing excellent AC service. In fact, I already have recommended them to several people. It is rare in today's world to find a company who is so very professional and service oriented. Tassio has been our go to for a/c and heating maintenance. They are professional and service oriented. Yesterday at around 3:30pm our condenser stopped operating. I immediately called Tassio and left a message with their service. It was around 5:30. I received a call back within the hour from, Sonni. Who is the best. She said that she would be able to have someone come out the next day which was Sunday between 11 and 1. Avo was here at 12:00 and I received a call from her at 11:30 telling me he was on his way. He has been here before for maintenance and he was just as professional as before. He diagnosed the problem, had the part and in 30 minutes we had our A/C working. It was 112 degrees outside when he repaired it. All of their techs and staff just go out of their way. Prices are more than other companies, but they do the job and don't cut corners. read more

We had Tassio come out because are heating was working intermittently. The tech who came out diagnosed the problem and said the office would call us to scheduled someone to come out in a few days to do the work. In those few days the unit started working again so we called Tassio to cancel the job. Needless to say the next day it wasn't working again so we rescheduled. The office staff was very accommodating with out request. The next day Matt came out to do the work, he installed the part that was ordered. The unit still did not work so Matt diagnosed a different problem, removed the original part ordered and installed the new part, which solved the problem. We are so thankful to Matt, not only did he save us half of what we would have paid, but for his honesty and professionalism. We were very pleased with the Tassion team. read more

These guys are the best. They have come through for me twice in recent months. First the air and now the heat. Let me start with Dana cuz that's the first person I came in contact with. She is friendly, courteous and really listens. I have special instructions to get to my house and I know she listened to me because the tech knew exactly what to do. She even remembered me when I called today, including those special instructions. It's nice to feel like you're a valued customer and she did that. Then there's Andy. He is a heating/air rock star. Tassio was recommended to me by a prior customer. Steven K was the sales rep I dealt with and he was wonderful. Explained all my options, the types of units I could use in my space, and the cost options (including rebates and financing offers). We coordinated with my roofing company (getting the top of the house all done at once!) and was open with his communications. The installers Marco and Daniel were professional and timely. They spent the time to clean up from installing a vent (and went above and beyond with a repair that had nothing to do with them but they did it anyway since they were here and they had the materials with them) and spent the time training me on the new NEST control system. Tassio replaced an A/C coil that had leaked. Overall, I was extremely pleased with their level of professionalism, troubleshooting ability, and quality of service. After many years of experiencing neither, Jim, Nathan, Mario and Sergio were a 'breath of fresh air'! As an example, another company who failed to provide a satisfactory bid, had told us after performing a leak test that we also needed a new line set (pipe between condenser and evaporator). I was a little suspicious about this result, so Tassio performed another test when they replaced the coil. I'm pleased to say that they were honest and found nothing wrong with the line, saving me a lot of money. I can highly recommend this company. Our A/C failed before noon during the week-long, record heat wave. No vendor, including Tassio, had a person to come out that day. After calling 11 vendors, I tried Tassio again. They had a schedule change that would bring "Brian" out that afternoon. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He had to "jury-rig" a failed part, and was able to get the unit working. He was very clear on what needed to be done the next week. We had a family emergency, and were not able to get it fixed properly for another week. Again he was very efficient in doing the work. and checked all measurements to confirm that the new part was working properly. I would give him not just a 10 out of 10, but an immediate raise. The compressor was making a horrible griding noise. I called Tassio Temperature control. They came over within 2 hours. The technician was thorough and knowledgeable. He performed the maintenance and provided me with the cost of repairing the compressor's motor, but suggested that I look into replacing it since it was 20 years old. Avo, the sales associate came over, again within a couple of hours and gave me several choices. No pressure to buy whatsoever. Once I made my choise, they came over the next day to install the new compressor. The entire team was professional, pleasant and helpful. They even ordered a made to order air conditioning return cover that is now discontinued. I highly recommend this company for your A/C needs. read more

5 stars! Our air went out last week during the triple digit heat wave. Needless to say, it was very unpleasant but the Tassio team came through! Jennie responded to my call and rearranged the schedule to get someone over immediately. She was wonderful and sent Steven to the rescue! They were booked due to the heat and because they are an awesome company, and they rearranged their schedule AGAIN to accommodate us!
