Finally a young man making sandwiches noticed me and got the attention of an older guy who was cutting up some meat. He had looked at me a couple of times, but never helped me until the young man motioned for him to. There was virtually no one in there. So, not because it was busy.

The people working there are hard-working, polite, and friendly gentlemen. Jim, the owner, is an absolute star. He's genuine and kind. I love Pinetree Seafood and Produce, and I'm forever hooked! I don't mind the philosophy of letting the lobster shine, but lobster needs a bit of salt or SOMETHING to make its flavor pop. If you like Maine style then you might like this but if you favor Connecticut style then you might not prefer how this is made.

They also operate a small lunch/dinner sometimes brunch truck as well. Two locations usually. They have a smaller menu but don't be fooled. Since the menu is smaller they can focus solely on that menu. Focus they do! It's very very good food and a healthy portion of food as well. From the gouda Mac and cheese with fried onions to the absolutely amazing fried chicken sandwich with Maine maple glaze and everything in between... to die for!! They also have the most amazing red potatoes. They fry them up as "smashed spuds" and they're so so good! I go there sometimes just for those ! Upon my latest visit I was promptly greater at the deli counter and also received follow up prompts to make sure I had been helped. As always my sandwich was delicious which has never been an issue. I was also able to pick up the few essentials I was lacking in my pantry without having to make a trip all the over to the Hannaford. Once again I am happy this little market has come to Scarborough.

If a customer orders a chai latte, just add more warm milk to the top, it's not rocket science.
