My favorite is the Lychee Peachee, which is a peach tea with chucks of lychee. I have tried some of the others, which some have a combination of different types of fruit. I'd say the boba was more impressive than the tea, but after mixing it really well, the flavor became more consistent. Others in my group tried their Matcha Thai Milk Tea, Matcha Coffee, and their Strawberry Bananza smoothie. Everyone was pretty content with their drinks, and not one person complained. Be aware that they're only taking mobile orders at this time! It would've been helpful to let customers know via the Tastea app too. Although that message is communicated on their Yelp page, as someone who frequents Tastea often I didn't look on Yelp before visiting the store because I already knew what I wanted to get. I tried to place a mobile order for pickup but the app said it was receiving high order volumes so I thought I would just try placing an order in store instead. When I went inside, the staff member calling out orders told me I had to wait outside the store, place a mobile order, and choose a different time slot that was available. It wasn't clear if that was their suggested workaround to getting an order in for them to make or if they truly couldn't make the drink until 45 mins later (the next time slot available was in 45 mins). Honestly, it was a pleasure for Nathan to meet me, but more of a pleasure for me to meet Nathan. Really, it was about the way he came off to people. At his core, he'd be the type that would really tell you about how his day went, rather than just brushing it off with a "it's going well." It's so refreshing on a hot day and their honey boba is out of this world. It's green and you can actually taste the honey when you chew the boba. It's amazing! I love the Tootea Fruitea because of the lychee, longan, and jackfruit bits. The tea is kiwi and pineapple and I never thought that combination would be so good! The only downside is that the drinks I've ordered are very sweet. I usually like sweet things, but the teas were a little tooo sweet for me. I wish there was an option to customize the sugar level of the drink but I did notice they have "lightly sweetened" options on the menu. I also noticed they have cold-pressed coffee drinks. Their matcha coffee is creamy and delicious, and with honey boba - MmMMmm! I wish there was a location closer to me so I can come here more often to try different things. I came here after a hike on a hot day for a refresher and it definitely lived up to expectations. They are currently only accepting orders on the app so be prepared and place your order before you go. It's worth the hassle though, since they have a promotion for a first drink discount! They are pretty quick at making drinks still, even with the social distancing policies. Drinks are sealed off at the top now with a seal--a little unnecessary normally but helpful at this time. I got two fruit teas, one strawberry one and a peach lychee one. They are a little pricey, but definitely quality with real fruit bits. When asked what my favorite boba spot was, this place quickly came to mind. I mean they take it up the notch with their fruit juice. I also think that the teas I've had so far were not overly sweet; of course you can adjust that. As a newb during both my visits, I stuck with the specialteas. The second time I went I had the peach me sweetea, which is organic strawberry and peach black tea with bits of strawberry and peach! Both were tastea!! But for some people the problem is where to grab boba?! I think that with all the new places opening up in the area, sometimes it can be hard to decide where to go. There are just so many boba places popping up in North San Jose, I can hardly keep up. I mean Gong Cha and Sharetea opened up on the same street in opposite plazas from each other. This tea place definitely lives up to the hype and I cannot believe they have one so close to my family's home! I think it livens up the shopping plaza it's in for sure. Honestly I really appreciate lots of the health-friendly options that's available here such as the alternative milks and the sugar-free sweeteners. Like most other patrons, my main issue comes to the wait times of the orders. I recently placed an order for 7:30 pickup and it took over 30 minutes for completion. It appears that the order is conceived at 7:30 PM in the system or something, rather than being prepared for the designated pickup time. It's rather disappointing that orders come in slowly. In terms of the quality of the tea, the fruit teas are great and have a really fresh taste to them. The milk teas are a bit of a hit or miss, as there's a really strange aftertaste that I can't quite put my finger on, but the majority of them are good such as the Golden and Strawberry Milk Tea. This is truly a great establishment in terms of food quality, but it's such a disappointment that prep time is horrible. Theirs is different because it's GREEN boba. Idk if it actually tastes any different, but it looks cool haha. My boyfriend had their seasonal watermelon slush. It's made with actual watermelon blended in so it's really refreshing. Overall, fresh and fast drinks with lots of natural flavor from fruit! Overall this is my fave bobba spot. Service is always great & never had issues with the drinks I've ordered. I'm happy even during SIP they are open & have guidelines to protect their employees & the customer. Only issue I've had is with the ordering process. I've ordered drinks to pick up at a certain time & it will be ready at that time (yaay!) & other times I go to pick it up, but during check in the employee will tell me there are so & so orders ahead of you so it may take another 15-20 mins.... Like what?!?!? Then the pick up part is sometimes a bit confusing. There is a line to check in & then another line or waiting area to wait to be called to get your drink. If you're waiting in your car, you might miss your name & when you stand by the door, people waiting in the check in line think you're cutting but in reality you already checked in & just want your drinks. My new favorite tea place! I've tried the one in LA a couple years ago but I don't remember it being as good. So I'm glad I came to try it again because I'm definitely hooked! Parking is usually pretty easy because it's in a plaza. But once it gets busy, the line takes over the store and there's really no space to walk around. I literally had to go out one door then come back in through the door on the other side because it was so crowded. My favorite would have to be Peach Me Sweetea with Honey Boba! It has strawberry bits in it which I love! I've also tried the Lychee Peachee and it's good but not as good as PMS. I really love how refreshing all the drinks taste and I will definitely try their slushies once it gets warmer! They also have a rewards program and they give you a card, like a credit card instead of those flimsy stamp cards. Be sure to register so you can redeem your points! My friends and I went here little before closing at 8:30, and to our surprise there was no line! The girls at the cashier were nice. I have a tastea rewards card, and she was patient enough to try a few phone numbers before I gave up. I guess never registered my card, so I didn't add my phone number. Must remember to do so for the future! It's still a soft opening, but that's good enough for me. They have a wide variety of drinks at tastea- fruit teas, milk teas, coffee and blended drinks. As long as I can get my mango all the way, like wow, peach me sweet tea, and Jasmine green tea with honey boba... I'M A HAPPY CAMPER. Those are my favorite drinks at tastea. Still kind of sad that I have to drive nearly an hour to get tastea, but it's better than a 5 hour drive to SoCal.
