    Asian Herbal Dessert
    Linh N.

Final Thoughts: 3.80/5 Soft 4 star today. This was a very simple and quick dessert/boba run. We went here after our dinner on a Sunday evening. Very quick. We went in, ordered our drinks, admired the walls and decorations they had, took pics for my review, and left. Decorations were very appropriate for the season, by the way. Nice way to end our evening today. Dessert: Asian Herbal Dessert: 3.9/5 This was the item I got today. It comes with combo herbal, goji, dried longan, snow mushroom, dried jujube, and white jelly. My favorite is the goji berry pieces. The drink itself just tastes like syrup. Very light on flavor. The sweetness appears to come from a combination of rock sugar and granulated sugar. Hmm...my preference in sweetness is perhaps after all of the ice has melted. The initial sip was overly sweet for me. All of these toppings are very refreshing and this is definitely something that I would like on a hot summer day. The different toppings provide nice flavor combinations and textures. Longan Jelly Delight: 3.8/5 This dessert comes with longan, grass jelly, pandan jelly, basil seeds, palm seeds, and coconut juice. The coconut juice in this drink is nostalgic because it tastes exactly like the Asian grocery store bag of coconut juice with young coconut pieces. That combined with the toppings was quite good. The toppings itself were quite simple. Appears to be just a few jelly and longan pieces. Of note, this drink just states longan, so I'm assuming it's fresh longan. My drink stated to have dried longan. Both appeared to taste and feel the same to me. No complaint because both tasted good, but just a note of that. Drink: The Classic: Black Milk Tea with Boba: 3.8/5 Friends drink today that I tried for review purposes. Very simple and definitely a classic drink option. The black milk tea itself is quite light in flavor. The aroma of tea is present and I get that initial waft, but the flavor of it is very subtle overall. My preference would be to have a stronger tea flavor. Even though the flavor seems light, the balance of milk and tea is quite nice. Most of the flavor and taste that I get is from the boba. I felt that boba was very chewy without any bite to it. Personally, I'm not too picky with the boba it is notably underwhelming. The flavor was there, but the texture component just slightly threw me off. --------- Quality: Difficult to assess Slightly difficult for me to assess their quality given that they items appear rehydrated or from a can. Not much of the ingredients in my dessert will be made in-house. I will say that I did enjoy my drink overall though; just difficult to assess. Price: Depends how you look at it; $$ - $$$ They are really not messing around with the size of their drinks. For the price of $9.30, I was able to get quite the large cup. While I can't say this is inexpensive, the cup size does help me feel better about almost spending $10 for this drink. Now, if you think about the ingredients, the price does push it a little for me. Some of these items are ones that you can just get in a can or bag, which means that it leans on being less expensive. Hmm...but perhaps this is how they can make a profit here. Service: Sweet and simple Very short interaction with the cashier. I saw him sitting down from outside, but he stood up as soon as we entered the store, which is a nice gesture. We're an indecisive bunch and he was just waiting patiently for us to decide on our drinks. We were able to quickly order our drinks and then get them shortly after. They just call out the drink's number once they're ready. Ambiance: Warm and very festive for the holiday season Very quaint little shop. There are a few tables spaced out inside. I like the wall paintings they have around the walls. Seems like a very warm and cozy place, contrary to the location outside on an autumn evening. I was able to find a nice spot and background to take the pictures. Their marble tables are also quite nice for the picture aesthetics. Location/Parking: Not the best location; spacious parking lot This spot is located on Tully and Quimby Road. This plaza is where Party City is and is typically empty, unfortunately. Honestly, the location for this is perhaps not the best. I really think this spot might thrive in a place like Vietnam Town given their Vietnamese dessert menu items in general. For the parking, I definitely don't think that it's going to be a problem for anyone because the space is very large. There are only a row of stores around here, but there are a lot of parking spaces. Unless there's perhaps a huge event happing in this plaza, I don't see parking being a concern for most of the time.

Great Che here! Floral Decor and Nature Vibes. Loads on Indoor seating, no outdoor seating. This place lets you customize sugar levels of their deserts. Good plus. No outlets, Kiosk to order, Pretty clean. They just opened! Definitely go check out their Vietnamese deserts! Picture is their #2

NEW Vietnamese Dessert Shop with drinks and more! @beanspottt is now open in San Jose near @eastridgecenter and its Asian mom approved! Desserts are not too sweet and we really enjoyed their matcha cheesecake! Growing up with Che being our favorite dessert, this place definitely delivered. Even so cutely decorated and will be back to try their durian shake plenty of parking and service was super nice!

The sugarcane here sure hits the SPOT on a hot summer day! We stopped by on a weekday July evening, it wasn't busy at all. I ordered the Sugarcane Kumquat. Why is the drink green? Kumquats are orange! My first sip blasted my tastebuds with the sweetness of fresh succulent sugarcane before a welcome complement of acidity from the kumquat helped to balance all that sugary goodness. The kumquat really helps to mellow out the usual excessive sweetness of sugarcane. So refreshing! I also like the interior -- there's a lot of playful and colorful Parisian-themed art on the walls and there's also a nice floral arch to take some nice pics of your drink! Would come back to try other drinks and desserts from here!

Beanspot is a very solid spot for chè and I'd recommend it to anyone! The amount of toppings you get is quite generous and the default sweetness level is truly not too sweet. Everything tasted fresh. I had the Special Rainbow chè ($9) which has beans (kidney, mung, and white), pandan jelly, hat luu/mock pomegranate seeds (water chestnut bits encased in tapioca), taro, grass jelly, and coconut milk. I particularly liked the pandan jelly, beans, and taro paste. I thought the grass jelly was just okay, but it's still a great cup of chè. My favorite one is the Three Colors Signature ($8.50) which also has the beans, pandan jelly, hat luu, and coconut milk. The interior is cutely decorated and welcoming. The service was good, the employees are always friendly and there's plenty of parking in the plaza. Beanspot is currently my go-to chè shop and I'll definitely be coming back to try more menu items.

Brand new dessert shop on Tully Rd! There's a parking lot outside of it & the interior is spacious with plenty of seating and tables. The staff is very friendly here as well. I tried the mocha frap, coco frap, evergreen (avocado) smoothie, and popcorn chicken. The mocha frap was good with flavors of coffee and chocolate, like a standard mocha flavor. The coco frap is described to have coffee + coffee jellies in it on the menu, but our drink didn't have coffee or jelly in it unfortunately. I enjoyed the evergreen smoothie but personally prefer more avocado flavor, though this smoothie also had a tea flavor in it which was good. Popcorn chicken fulfilled the craving and comes with sweet chili sauce. The menu here has a lot of variety & I would come back to try more of the drinks!

Got the yellow frappe and seafood lover. The yellow frappe is interesting and taste like mung bean. I was feeling adventurous and wanted to try it out. The seafood lover hit the spot on a a cold day and was comfort food. I would definitely come back here again. The place is clean and service was fast and attentive. There is a corner for pictures and it's Instagram-worthy. Great hang out spot

Clean place, easy parking good service, decent prices. Tried the Dirty Taro, which was quite good with fresh taro. Very refreshing and a nice coconut taste. Would definitely get it again. Just wish they put even more of that fresh taro in the drink.

Yayyy another delicious dessert place just popped up . Staff are as sweet as their dessert, Very quick with your orders . #3 is so refreshing and thirst quenching with the coconut water and the toppings inside are just perfection with the coconut palm and pandan jelly . #7 is silky and smooth with the coconut milk as base and a variety of toppings and my favorite out of all would be the taro paste , I'm in love with both #3 &#7.

Tropical halo dessert drink and piña colada smoothie
    K. M.

Been meaning to check this place out and finally got the chance! We ordered the tropical halo dessert and piña colada smoothie at 50% sweetness. Both were delicious! The tropical halo drink was refreshing with jackfruit, lychee, and durian in shaved ice and coconut milk. The pina colada was also made with fresh pineapple and coconut milk, a plus for those who are lactose intolerant. Will definitely go back to try other things on the menu. Beanspot is an undiscovered gem that needs to be discovered by more people!

It's a cute store with the flowers decorations for photo opt and paintings on the wall. I ordered chè pandan lemongrass, it tasted kinda bland. The pandan has no flavor and coconut milk needs a little more sugar. My friends didn't like their drinks much but the sugarcane drink wasn't bad.

    Snow White smoothie
    Hope L.

This place was cute! I saw it on instagram and wanted to try it. We got the Snow White smoothie which is a soursop and yogurt smoothie and a pina colada smoothie which was pineapple and coconut. It was $21 for 2 drinks which is the highest I have ever paid for 2 boba drinks as they charged $1 for each topping added to the drinks and the base price of each was $8.50-$9. I liked how they used real fruit for the smoothies and they were thick and tasted fresh. The soursop wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting and the boba was a bit mushy and tasteless. The pina colada tasted better as it had a stronger flavor and I could taste both the pineapple and the coconut. The lychee jelly was also perfectly chewy and flavorful. Overall, I enjoyed these smoothies but think $10 per drink is too expensive for me and I wouldn't get the boba again.

this spot is located right near eastridge mall. it's in the plaza with pet i and Foodmaxx. right next door is a thai food place too. it's a cute place and love, loooove their flower decoration! especially their flower chandelier/ lighting. it was cute! the paintings on the wall was cute too. plus we happened to stop by on the day of their grand opening! this place is basically serving you vietnamese dessert (che) and some speciality drinks and other drinks too. though i love a good che place and this place doesn't disappoint. i'm not sure if it was just me or if i didn't read the ingredients in the che, but in the tropical halo one i think they used a coconut cream instead of coconut milk. i don't have any complaints about it, but it just made it but more creamier. i also loved that they used fresh durian so SOLD. of course the workers there were super friendly and nice! they made sure everyone was taken care of. they also speak english so don't be shy to come in and try. their menu is also in english. would i come back? yes to try out their other che. but i would love to see some more options for che in the future if you like my review come check out my instagram as well: @ngofoodielife happy eating!

My first experience was pretty mid because the ceremonial matcha latte was VERY strong and bitter. I couldn't finish it and it made me super jittery. After coming back a few more times though, I found a couple things I really liked. The Crème Brûlée Matcha was delicious. I finished the entire drink. You can't change the sweetness level, which is unfortunate, but their recommended sweetness actually balanced the stronger matcha really well. The ice cream is probably the best thing here. Super creamy, perfectly sweet and really well blended. I would honestly come back just for the ice cream. The strawberry matcha latte was pretty unmemorable to me, and the hojicha was also extremely bitter. Service was good. The barista was kind and helpful, which I appreciated. You order through a kiosk, so there isn't a ton of interaction overall. When I first came around their opening, there was basically no line. After they started getting more hype, the lines became longer and longer. I think it's worth trying, but personally I wouldn't wait in a huge line for it. Overall, the matcha itself tastes authentic and is prepared well, but some drinks are just too bitter for my preference. My recommendations: the ice cream or Crème Brûlée Matcha. Those were easily the standouts for me.
