I found this place on TikTok and decided to come visit. I showed a plate that I saw on TikTok. Paid $80 for some past w/ shrimp, oxtails, & lobster. The plate is half the size advertised on TikTok! The lobster WAS NOT a full lobster. Very much ate up. Very much lil lobster bites inside of a lobster shell. MIND YOU, when the cashier was ringing me up, I asked if the lobster was full and she said it look just like the plate on TikTok! And this right here, is exactly why black business don't succeed. OMG!!! the presentation of this take out food is absolutely amaaaazing!!! I ordered the rice bowl with salmon and I was NOT disappointed!!! The salmon was perfectly seasoned, rice was FULL of flavor with the sauteed onions and broccoli. Every bite was totally delicious! The tastebuddz sauce was sweet and had kick, a must try. The mango lemonade was very sweet, but flavorful. If you're not diabetic I would say it's worth every sip!...LOL..The ambiance was lovely, decorated with pineapples everywhere and it was a worm and friendly place to congregate.The person who took my order was courteous and helpful about making suggestions. Customer Service was awful. The lady at the counter was rude, and less than helpful with the one paper menu that literally sits on the dirty counter in small print. She rolled her eyes back and forth as she took my order. Three burgers and fries with no drinks cost 48.00 dollars plus she wanted a tip. I witnessed her two friends hanging around the chair-less lobby. You have to wait in your vehicle for your car. Which may be the best option cause attitudes are catching and I certainly would not like to pick up what she's putting down and out in the universe. First and last experience to say the least. For quick a stop shop for lunch, this is the perfect spot! Servers are beyond friendly and helpful. The place is fairly clean, with a cute instagram art worthy corner. As for food, wings are truly exquisite, tons of variety for sauces, and the fries were amazing - super crunchy! Also, portions are huge, definitely worth the price. First visit was pretty good. FYI the location is the plaza of Wayfield grocery and the hours of operation are incorrect on here. We arrived about 20mins before opening time at 12pm and were very first orders of the day. Cashier extremely nice and helpful and food was ready in 15 mins. I really like how they have a buzzer system and you can order together and pay separately so that group orders ready at the same time. Salmon griller rice bowl with cheese, all veggies and shrimp - phenomenal! The food was well seasoned and flavorful. Rice was perfect and that Taste Bud sauce set it off! They only give one small container of sauce so just pay for extra one it's almost required lol. My sister tried the Steak Pineapple Griller with spinach, mushrooms and cheese. The pineapple also isn't really palatable just for decoration and it costs more. The packaging for the pineapple bowls are not suitable for traveling so I would strongly urge owners to find alternative packaging options. We both tried the pineapple lemonade and agreed it was not that great as the TikTok made it look lol. It is definitely just koolaid/lemonade with no lemon. Our meals were about $20 each with tax so it wasn't bad on the wallet and having quality food. This place gives me tropical vibes! I had been hearing about the pineapple grilled and when I went on their ig and saw I could eat out of a pineapple I had to try it! It did not disappoint! I got rice, salmon, onions, bell peppers, pineapple, cheese, with a shrimp skewer placed on top... eat was absolutely delicious! We had to wait almost an hour for it but with the covid-19 times going on I'm practicing patience. It was worth the wait and I will definitely be going back for another pineapple Griller! I've been wanting to visit this spot for some time now. I'm very mindful of how and who I send my money with. I especially do my best to support black business in Decatur, but I won't support a business that doesn't appreciate its customers. I would like to start off by saying the customer service was great. The lady at the counter could tell it was my first time there so she went over the menu and made recommendations. Ultimately I settled on Shrimp Grillers. I waited about 10 minute for my food-typical. The disappointment came about when I got my food. Immediately I noticed my food was put in a to go container that was turned upside down minimizing the amount of food I got. To make matters worst the container was one of the smaller sizes used for lunch portions- eye roll!! It came with 4 medium size shrimp, a boat load of cheese, veggies and 1 cup of cooked riced. Which means I had to cook dinner after going out to buy dinner. I read the reviews but still decided to give them a try. Unfortunately I won't be going back. I understand that businesses need to make a profit but I don't like feeling that Im being taken advantage of in regards to the way they're manipulating the portion sizes. read more

Had the pleasure of trying TasteBuddz out during Yelp Restaurant Week. Had not heard of this place before but wishing I had. I've obviously been missing out on some things. TasteBuddz Atl is located in a humble shopping center (w/a Wayfields grocery) close to the intersection of Columbia Drive & Glenwood Road. There is signage above the restaurant entrance. Don't recall seeing it on the shopping center's signage. Just know that it's there. It's a small establishment that could seat maybe 10-12 people tops. I imagine they get a lot of take-out orders. Customer service was really great! I was greeted promptly after entering. The young lady was very helpful and patient since this was my first visit. She walked me thru their ordering process and gave me a some recommendations since I was a first-timer. I decided to go all the way and get a pineapple griller w/chicken, peppers, broccoli, cheese and the TasteBuddz sauce on the side. I also was easily persuaded to try the pineapple lemonade. So good!! Let me discuss the pineapple griller. This is something I'd expect to see on the menu at an island resort situated right off the beach with a slight warm breeze brushing my face. Um...yes. It's time for a vacation. But I digress. This dish was really good! It's served up in a half portion of a pineapple. Cool presentation. And it's seasoned well. And the sauce was tasty too! I ordered the pineapple bowl rice and loaded the toppings. I had everything but mushrooms!! Lol The wait was reasonable. As I ordered upon entry. Once I got home and dived in. What a gem to find in the Atlanta,GA area!!! My friend and I drove to ATL from Columbia for a quick little shopping trip. We had to discuss th lunch plans on the way. It wasn't too crowded when we came late that afternoon. We both ordered the to go style pineapple bowls. It comes with rice...but I'm on a low carb kick so I asked for it to be omitted from mine. I tried the steak onions mushrooms and peppers bowl and some mango spicy wings. The Restaurant: It's located in a strip mall with ample parking. There is a little bit of seating, but it's probably mostly geared for to go or carry out orders. We waited while our food was freshly prepared. Didn't take too long. We took some Pics with their instagram board while we waited. The food : oh my goodness. Go! Go today if you can!! They are open every day except Sundays. It was well seasoned. The concept is novel so I give them an A for effort.This is a 'to go' spot so I ordered all veggies in a pineapple to go. It was nicely wrapped and the food was good. But, I tasted only a few pineapples, so I imagine that it's more about presentation. I also don't feel the food is worth the cost, especially considering the location. Also ordered a burger, it was nothing like the photos I saw. The meat was so small it mostly looked like just bread and condiments. I had the Pineapple Shrimp Griller. I love how everything is made fresh to order. The pineapple was sweet so that was nice and the portion was great. I do wish that the skewer had a couple more pieces of shrimp on the because they were seasoned so well.
