Best cake place ever!! We loved our cake, and wished we had more! We ordered the carrott cake with pineapple filling. It was sooo moist and delicious, and the buttercream frosting was mild, which was a definite plus for me, since i dont care for frosting. They did a great job from start to finish, and they have a free designer that will help you pick out your design for your cake, if you are unsure about it. Came into today to order a birthday cake for my mother in law and brought in a picture from Pinterest for the decorators inspiration. Was told with a few tweaks to the design it would be able to be executed (great!). Now onto cake size, we had our options $229 that serves 24 or $179 that serves 16. We opted for the $179 (Almost done).... now onto flavor....mother in laws favorite cake, carrot cake So why would I go with anything other than that! After telling them I wanted carrot cake, I was told they could not make carrot cake.... so my eyes glaze over to the display case that is clearly refrigerating two large size carrot cakes. Scratching my head, I asked the employee while pointing to the display case, is this not carrot cake? I was told it in deed was; however, carrot cake was seasonal and it couldn't be made to order....I was then told I could call back later in the week and ask if the chef was planning on making any carrot cakes that were going to be for the display case. if so, I could purchase a pre made cake....Okay so you mean to tell me that I am coming in to pay almost $200 for a cake and I can't have carrot cake that can obviously be made in your bakery? I've been here a few times to get cupcakes and custom cakes as well as pre-made cakes. Their cakes were always yummy and nicely designed. Unfortunately I won't be coming here again because I found a thin dark hair in the pre-made cake I picked up for my daughters birthday. We were so grossed out we all stopped eating and threw the cake in the trash. It put a damper on the birthday celebration but it probably upset me the most. Now I have to find a new go-to bakery for all my birthday cakes. Bummer! read more

DO NOT USE THIS BAKERY. I paid $65 for a cake that was not at all what was ordered. It was supposed to look like a cube, but it was more like a sheet cake. I decided to just deal with it and not let it ruin my sons first birthday, but that was before it got worse. The small cake that came for him actually turned him blue (the same color as the icing). He was blue for four hours despite having two baths and being scrubbed as much as we could without irritating his skin. I was not happy about this, but tried to still let it go. The last straw was when my one year old son started throwing up blue and having blue poo and continued to be sick for over eight hours. Nothing went right with this cake and I am extremely temped to call the health department. Do yourself a favor and protected you kids....DON'T EVEN BEGIN TO THINK THAT A NICE WEBSITE ACTUALLY INSURES A GOOD EXPERIENCE. read more

We had them do succulents all down the side of the cake, which I would imagine was not easy. And they even made a vegan cake for the bride and groom. Eeek! Where to start....I was having a birthday party at Gamehaus, an awesome cafe, who unfortunately only allows you to buy cakes from Tasteful Cakes. I tried one, the salted caramel macchiato cake and thought it was the worst tasting, mouth full of salt, terribly quality cake I had ever had. They assured me this was a fluke mistake and I tried another, the strawberry, then the mango. I could only take one bite of each as they were not worth the calories. Edible yes, but very far from tasty. So, I decided to order a cake made of their brownies, which when I tried at the cafe, were actually quite good. I got the worst service ever on the phone from Kaitlyn. She was extremely rude, but since I had no choice, I ordered the brownies. She quoted me $80 for a sheet of 9 brownies. So expensive, but with no options, I agreed. Then she decided to add on a shipping fee of $15, despite the fact that they put everything in with the weekly, already paid-for shipment to Gamehaus. She just said that's the policy, and could not explain why. So my grand total for my mediocre 9 brownies was $95. When I requested to at least have them made fresh the day before (they could not do the day of) she said that would be an additional $15 shipping fee on top, as that would not go in with the regular shipment, further confirming my point that there was no reason to charge me the first shipping fee when a shipment that was already going to that location. I decided $110 was too much for a few brownies, and stuck with the previous day shipment for $95. On the bright side, the decorations were beautiful, it LOOKED great. But then we tasted it...not as good as I remembered the brownies in the case, but still decent, much better than the disgusting cakes, if it wouldn't have been for the salted caramel on top. I guess the first cake was not a fluke, as this layer was SUPER SALTY, overpowering the rest of the taste. I scraped it off and quietly ate my average $95 brownie cake, only to swear to myself never to purchase here again. Please do yourself and your parties a favor, buy your cakes elsewhere! read more

Groupon currently has a deal for this place. Before buying the Groupon I went into the store to check out what they had available. $18 for 12 cupcakes and $20 for an 8" round cake. I went in on a Saturday about 20 min before closing time and the girl in the front, I can't remember her name, sorry, was very helpful. She went over all the cakes that applied to the Groupon and took her time in describing the flavors and even offering me a sample to taste, which was moist and flavorful. I don't like to rush to buy things and they didn't try to rush me out of the store because it was almost closing time. I asked her if the cake would be ok until Monday, which is when I needed it and she assured me it would and it did! They had so many cakes and cupcakes to choose from. I ended up choosing an 8" round vanilla cake, sliced strawberry's inside and whip cream frosting. It was for a friends birthday and it was one of the best cakes I've ever had! We ordered our wedding cake here and it was amazing!! We had our initial tasting, picked out a cake and went over details of how it was going to look. A few months later we ended up pushing our wedding date back and they kept our order and it was no problem. When we were ready again they offered to do another tasting for us to make sure we hadn't changed our minds on anything. I'm so glad they offered us this because we first had a strawberry mousse flavor picked out and after our 2nd tasting decided that flavor was too bland, and went with the famous Corona Sunset, which is a lemon raspberry filling. It was a hit! People said it was the best cake they ever tasted. The custom cake design was also BEAUTIFUL and matched my fairytale themed wedding perfectly. I stopped in and bought a red velvet cake for me and my wife's anniversary. I paid $43 for it. I brought it home and we Each had a slice. I have to tell you this is probably the worst red velvet cake I've ever had. It had absolutely no flavor aside from the frosting. I called and spoke to the manager Kaitlyn. And explained to her my experience with her cake. She responded by saying that she would be happy for me to come in and taste some other cakes and she would give me a voucher. As our conversation continued she determined that in her mind my complaint was based on a personal preference. I told her that no flavor does not constitute a personal preference. I found this gem off of Groupon. The site states clearly you must order in advance. I wound up in town, called to see if I could still get cupcakes even though I hadn't ordered in advance. Becky was very nice and helpful and assured I would still be able to get the dozen I purchased. I was able to get carrot, lemon and red velvet. When first opening the box you could literally smell the flavoring. And flavorful they were! Not to mention moist! I had a great experience and will soon be back to try their cakes! The lady that helped us was very nice and listened to what our kids wanted for their cakes. They were both beautiful and tasted really good especially the Marble cake with the strawberry mousse filling. It actually has fresh strawberries in it! I had a sweet tooth the other day and stopped by here before visiting a client. The girl at the counter was wonderful. So nice and helpful. They do mostly cakes here, but there is a small section of baked goods. I tried the chocolate brownie, dipped in chocolate with a swirl of salted caramel on top. Sound rich? It was! Rich and delicious! I was a little confused by their bacon cupcake though. Im pretty sure it had Bacos on it??? The red velvet was moist and yum, a bit too much cream cheese for me, but the rest nothing to rave about...a bit dry. Don't know if going a half hour before closing makes a difference.
