We were missing sides for our entrees and cannot get a hold of anyone by phone to correct the order. Very disappointed

Messed up my pick up order...completely left out a whole breakfast, sides, and all. Hard to believe as the receipt had all the items listed. Also, my wife, daughter, sister in law and niece went last week, and said the server was very creepy, listening in on their conversations, and constantly pestering them with what he thought was witty banter. We drove over an hour, as I'm reading the reviews I most definitely agree that the biscuit was SUPER DRY!! Our server was good...tasty coffee. Lots of carbs when you order breakfast, you get a huge biscuit and side of toast. I also agree the food was BLAND NO FLAVOR. Also when we went to pay one of the hostess was eating at the front where you pay, very unprofessional. She could've of went to the corner to eat her soup. Parking lot was full, but got seated immediately on a busy Saturday morning. Server was great, came right away to take our drink order. Food came quick, large portions. Great decor and vibe. Every one in our party loved their food but me. I was excited to try the orange cranberry bread french toast and was so disappointed. I ordered the Chilequile. It was a huge plate of food. Didn't need the rice or refried beans. I would have preferred the chips soaked in salsa to be tostadas instead of corn chips just to make it a neater plate and not so much waste. Also would have preferred the chicken to be shredded instead of sliced. It would have blended better with the plate. My eggs were cooked just as ordered. The flavors were good. Our first and last time there! Ordered a pecan berry salad. Most of the lettuce greens were old, black and slimmy! Some of the berries were mushy and only the pecans were edible. We decided to try this new restaurant in St Charlees and will not be going back. Although it was a busy time on Sunday, it is no excuse for poor service and wrong orders. Food came cold, no refill on water or coffee, excuses when we talked with the manager about the poor service and food quality. Do not waste your money. Went with two friends. Two of us ordered an omelet with bacon bits in it. It came and the bacon was undercooked and very fatty. We sent it back. The new ones came back the same way. We couldn't eat it and told them to take it back. We ordered fruit which came with the meal and the cantaloupe and honeydew were hard, no flavor because they were not ripe. And the pineapple was brown must have been old. The toast that came with it was soft, not even toasted had to send back, they got the toast correct the second time. The other friend ordered avocado toast w eggs sunny side up. The eggs were gross ...undercooked and slimy. She couldn't eat it and sent it back and didn't want it replaced. I got a coffee and one friend got a pop. We spoke to the owner and said we come here all the time and have never had a problem. We were very unhappy with the food. When we asked for the bill it was $20. She charged us for the side of fruit, the toast and the drinks. We felt since we had such a bad experience I'm the meal should have been comped. The only positive was the waitress who was great and of course we tipped her. The owner gave us terrible customer service! I never write reviews but this time it is called for it!!! Their menu shows a $3 up charge for gluten free French toast but the options seemed eccentric to all be available gluten free. I asked our server if they were able to make all of them GF, and he wasn't sure so he went to the kitchen to check. He came back and confirmed that they could. Woo! I ordered gluten free red velvet French toast. He came back to the table with regular plain old gluten free French toast with berries on top. I asked "is this red velvet?" He replied "no, they couldn't do that gluten free." And walked away. When he dame back to check on us, I told him that I didn't receive what I ordered, and had he told me they couldn't do it (even though I asked before ordering and he confirmed with the kitchen) I would have ordered something else. He stared blankly. I asked for a menu so I could order something else. When the bill came, he hasn't removed the French toast so we went up front to pay and speak to a manager. The manager started off very sweet as I began t explain what happened, but then cut me off and said she already knew what happened and then said that the server told her a different story. After I asked why I was still being charged after checking with the kitchen before I ordered, she asked if I wanted to take the French toast home because they still had it sitting in the kitchen. I said "no thank you we'd like it removed from our bill." She rolled her eyes and said "well when we send a ticket to the kitchen we have to charge you." I stood there until she "agreed to give me a discount" and removed the French toast but not the $3 up charge. She then tried to teach me that if any other restaurant told me they had GF red velvet, they'd be lying because it's impossible to make. As I went to agree with her that I'd never seen it on a menu, which was why I ordered it, she dismissed me and started speaking to another guest. Would not recommend this spot. read more

This is a 3.5 star review. It was a busy Sunday shift for these folks as we arrived at about 12:50pm for a late breakfast. We arrived and we told it would be 15/20 minutes for a table for 2, which was fine by us, so we sat outside with our buzzer and waited. We were buzzed and seated in the estimated time. The menu is EXPANSIVE! It's just massive! We were greeted by Matt, I think his name was.. a latino gentleman. He was pleasant, took our order and then we waited... and waited... and waited. Finally at 20 minutes, he swung by and apologized for the delay, but said it was coming shortly. 10 minutes later and it still hadn't arrived. Finally went to the host to alert them and about 2 minutes later, our food arrived. Our server walked away, but we had no silverware.. so we waited, again. Finally, we received some utensils. My mom was given the wrong toast as she ordered rye, but was given white. She also ordered over medium eggs and they were over easy. For 30 minutes, I'd hope for both of those to be right. My dish, the Mountain Peak, was flavorful and massive. The host popped by as we were eating and was trying to talk with us while we were trying to enjoy our food... then she kissed my mom on the head?!? Why? Weirdest thing ever! Covid... hello!! Anyways, the saving grace was Pleasant Pete, the manager. He came by and was so very nice and was really apologetic. He took care of the coffee and a side sauce we ordered as an a further apology. We didn't need anything free, but wanted to let him know the issue. We will come back because I'd rather see a restaurant busy and having a hard time keeping up with the pace as opposed to it closing for good. we had no problem with the food, price or service until we received our bill... the last time i checked a gratuity, or tip, was a gift left to the server by the customer based on the service & performance given the customers. the amount of said gratuity/tip was also left to the discretion of the customer too with a customary amount generally being 15-16% of the bill before taxes; or an 18-20% gratuity/tip of the before tax total automatically being added to a bill after taxes for parties of 8 or more. when we received our bill this morning we noticed an additional 1 misc charge - 15% gratuity of $13.78 which appeared as a charge for a purchase & we were also charged sales tax on it!!!! when they were told to remove this from what we purchased and also take the sales tax we were charged for what is considered a gift to our waitress off of our bill they refused!!!! again when i pointed out that this amount is not a purchase that we made & it's not an amount that is required to be taxed, they again refused! this is unethical!!! had we not noticed & questioned this, said waitress would have been tipped not 15%+tax, but 31%+tax after the 16% tip we were planning to leave for her. how many other customers have not noticed this additional charge & tax then still tipped the wait staff in this establishment on top of what they've already received?!?!? read more

Last Friday May 14th, my daughter who came in from Chicago we ordered online for pickup. We got to our destination without checking our order to realize the pancakes were missing. Half of our breakfast. I decided to try them again this past Friday, May 21st. I ordered a skillet with American cheese instead of cheddar with toast, to be picked up at 7:30 am. I was 5 minutes late, but my order was not done. It took another 10 minutes to get it together. Three tables in the restaurant only. I go out to my car to find out the toast is missing I go back in and wait another 8 minutes. The lady tells me the kitchen is sorry and gave me a double order of toast. Which she meant to say was only the single order and there was not jelly or butter. I am now late for work and find out I have cheddar cheese instead of the American and is now the skillet is cold. I would not recommend this place for any kind of carry out. If you choose to, do not leave the restaurant until you check your order. read more
