Love this place soooo much! Would love to come back again! Good for lunch and dinner, good for parties as well. Super convenient! Strong recommend it!

Pretty good taiwanese food..... plus it isn't as expensive as you would think. So here's the deal.... it's a place you go to for taiwanese "bento-ish" meals. You get there and line up / pay at the kiosk. Good news no need for tips here. Probably because it's incorporated in the prices ... which is a plus. They have a number of choices for meals and, i'm pretty happy with the them and the price. So the bento's have an assortment of side dishes that come with them... Since , i went for to-go .... i just got bowls. These do not have sides but they do come with the protein, rice , and stir fried cabbage... so pretty good meal already... I particularly liked the chicken - ginger scallion.... the sauce made the dish.... their porkchop were pretty good too. Ambiance wise, they do have a number of tables and chairs available... And yes, it's pretty much self serve... claygo :) Oh and they do have platters for parties... and drinks/ sweet stuff as well to check out. In anycase, will definitely be back ....

Egg Fried Rice with Pork Chop

Saw a few videos of this place on TikTok and was excited to have another Taiwanese spot in the area. I ordered online, but the restaurant has a kiosk inside for dine-in. I personally love ordering through kiosks - and wish more fast casual places offered this. Popcorn chicken - they give you a huge portion and nice sized chunks of chicken. On top of the basil they also prepare it with some whole garlic cloves, which I loved. Flavor was fantastic though I wish it was spicier. Fried rice with pork chop - fried rice was definitely on the stickier side. I prefer a drier texture but the flavor was good. I'm a sucker for egg fried rice and this hit the spot. Pork chop was also super flavorful. Nice light batter. Cut into bite size slivers. Fried noodles - pretty typical stuff. Again the portions here are very generous so you're getting bang for your buck. They use napa cabbage in their noodles so gives you that nice bit of sweetness. Really good food. Good prices. This is definitely a great option for Taiwanese.

Good amount of shrimp provided. I counted 9 pieces. Didn't like the Choi tasted like the wok.

I was craving a garlic butter shrimp burrito but I couldn't find anything nearby that could really hit that spot for me. So let's go Asian style, it's my first time ordering here I called in my order and ordered the butter garlic shrimp bento plus the radish pork soup. When I arrived in around 20 mins the lady seemed to be a bit confused on why my order was labeled "delivery" and she thought I had already paid. She was about to hand the food to me when I took out my card to pay she was confused and had to ask the other staff to ring me up. Minor confusion I didn't mind but she also just grabbed my card w a greasy glove. She apologized for getting food oils on my card and it wasn't a big deal but I didn't think that was very sanitary if she wanted to continue to use that glove. The spot is in a little plaza across from Costco. I didnt sit down to eat but it was pretty empty and I would've stayed if I wasn't on my lunch break. I'm really digging the flavor on the bento. The amount they gave was really satisfying: it had two types of green veggies like cabbage and some carrot Stir fry Choi. This is what I would subtract 1 star for. The stir fried choi tasted like the grill. Like they kept using the same grill or wok without cleaning it. Upon closer inspection, I saw lil black dots of the wok/grill on this item. I just ate some of it and didn't finish that part. Tasted more fire grill burnt than I would've liked, although the presentation was nice, I don't think that was what they were aiming for with that burnt grill taste. then they also had this king oyster saucy mushroom in the center of the bento. That was gooooood. The shrimp was a flavor bang it really hit the spot for me. I loved getting the rice all saucy with that garlicky butter pepper flavor. They didn't skimp out on the amount of shrimp either. I counted 9 pieces of shrimp. It's headless tail on shrimp so don't forget to remove the tails! Unless u like crunchy lol. They did that shrimp butter garlic flavor mixed w onions so well!! I also really enjoyed the spicy mustard greens on top of the rice and wished that they put a bit more of that in it. My total came out to be around $20. I haven't tried the pork radish soup yet but maybe I'll update my review after I try it. I'm just already pretty full. I would definitely come back for a casual lunch. They seem to have many bento style options. I would love to try a different option next time.

I came here after shopping at Costco in the same plaza. I usually get their popcorn chicken bento box to-go. They have kiosks and you can order ahead on their website. It comes with sauteed cabbage, steamed bok choy, mapo tofu, and rice with minced pork. The side dishes were seasoned nicely and the popcorn chicken was crispy and not too salty. The staff is nice and the place is clean.

This is the newest Taiwanese spot in town and locals are already lining up for it. Being Taiwanese, I'm proud to say it's got all the core elements of that Taiwanese hospitality--self-service AKA no tipping, kind and gracious service, and, of course, BANGIN' food. They specialize in what they call railroad bento boxes, vintage-style drinks like kumquat lemon green tea made from real fruits, and even traditional Taiwanese desserts like tofu pudding. I had to get the classic fried pork chop in my bento and this really satisfied my major food withdrawals coming back from Taiwan. But the SIDES omg. Usually side dishes that come like this are prettyyy forgettable but I might've liked the sides like the mapo tofu and king oyster mushroom more than the entrees. I even ordered another bento to go and had to sneak a bite of the wok-fried braised beef shank. Thanks for reading! ^-^

Popcorn chicken and stewed pork bento boxes. I love the sides that come with it! Yum!

My favorite place for Taiwanese street food!! Clean restaurant, nice ambience. Order at kiosk and pick up when they call your number.

新到 Chino Hills的正宗台式便當美食,$15便當包湯和任飲飲品,還免小費! Tired of paying 15 to 20% tips every time, but still want real quality food ! not fast food? Formosa Bento just landed in Chino Hills! Their bentos are only $15, and that already includes soup and unlimited drinks . yes, black tea and winter melon tea too! It's self-serve, so no tipping needed They mainly serve authentic Taiwanese railway bentos, cooked by real Taiwanese chefs. We tried the sweet & sour chicken, crispy chicken leg, salmon, shrimp -all crunchy, flavorful, and super generous in portion! Popcorn chicken and beef shank? not overly salty, just like what you'd get in Taiwan. It's the kind of meal that makes everyone happy !perfect for families, quick lunch, or even a chill solo dinner. Located right inside Costco Plaza, just off the 60 freeway ,so whether you're shopping or just passing by, don't miss this hidden gem IG: socalhkfoodies

This is located in the same plaza as Meet Fresh by Costco. It's very convenient to pick up some quick bento boxes meals after Costco. Plenty of parking. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are around 10 tables if you want to dine in, very clean. You order at the kiosk right when you walk in and they will call your number when your food is ready. Your meal comes with a complementary drinks (black tea or winter melon). If you dine in, there are self serve stations where you can fill the drinks at the drink station. You can also order online through the link listed on Google. The portion is very generous and big. I ordered the popcorn chicken combo and braised chicken leg combo. There are side dishes that come with the bento box. They were both very good. I would definitely come back again to try other bento boxes.

Nice new restaurant addition to the Chino Hills community. The restaurant is clean and spacious with lots of seating. Self ordering machines makes it quick and convenient. Service is friendly. Each bento comes with one main dish, three side dishes, a soup, and a drink. Very filling Fried pork chop rice and fried chicken rice were done nicely, the meat was well seasoned and not too dry. Garlic shrimp rice has a very buttery taste. It came with 8 medium size shrimps, good deal for the price. Taiwanese sausage was very juicy and full of flavor. Highly recommend this place for quick meal option.

Went for lunch with my wife after Costco activities, it's 2 minutes drive from Costco Chino Hills, right next to Green Banana Leaf. I ordered Taiwanese Fried Pork Chop Bento $14.5, the fried pork chop was crispy outside, juicy inside, very yummy! My wife ordered Homestyle Braised Chicken Leg Bento $14, it tasted good but I'd highly recommend Taiwanese Fried Pork Chop Bento. Both bentos came with plenty veggies. Owner was friendly, he came out to chat with customers and asked for feedbacks.

Food was fine, but the service needs a lot of work…read more It was our first time coming here, so I had no idea how anything worked. When we first arrived, the front was completely disorganized, and there were no lines at all. People were just crowding around the hostess table, so I had no idea how to add my name to the waitlist. There were no signs that showed where the line starts, and no line was being formed at all. The hostess kept having to walk people to their table, so it was nearly impossible to grab her attention. When I did manage to do so, she was very rude and prioritized other people before us. She obviously saw us come in before other people, but ignored that fact and just added other people to the waitlist first. Ridiculous. Their waitlist system is through Yelp, which sends you a text when your table is ready. Based on the app, it said that our table wouldn't be ready for about 1.5 hours, so we decided to walk around the outlet in the meantime. After nearly 1.5 hours, I saw that we were 2nd in line and decided to have our family walk back to the restaurant. While we were waiting outside for me to receive the text, we heard the host call my name and say that our table was ready. We met with him, and I said that it was odd since I hadn't received the text yet. He said, "Oh no, the hostess told me about you guys. You said that your phone was dead, so you'd hang around the restaurant and wait for us to call your name." No. We never said that. They have us confused with a different party. This means that if I hadn't checked the waitlist regularly and had just waited for that text, it never would've come, and we never would've gotten seated. What a messy system. Also, I've never been to a seafood boil restaurant where we have to ask for the bibs. Normally, they're given to us right when we're seated, so it was weird. We noticed other people were given bibs right when they're seated, so we're not sure why this happened. Other Kickin' Crab locations also give you an entire bottle of ketchup, whereas this place only gives small plastic cups. Weird. I think the employees and other customers would agree with me when I say that the entire place is completely disorganized because multiple orders around us were being messed up. The table to our left was missing its piece of corn and sausage in its bag of shrimp, while the table to our right was missing crawfish in their bag. The workers were obviously trying their best to straighten things out, but it didn't seem to be working. The menu is consistent with their other locations, but the market prices are a bit higher than what we're used to. Compared to the location that we always go to, this place offers bigger frozen crawfish, but the bags were mainly just the claws, so it seemed like a big ripoff. * Cajun Fries: 8/10 - nice cook, but there was only cajun seasoning on the top * Shrimp (Head-On): 9/10 - good flavor * Crawfish (Frozen): 6/10 - big crawfish, but the bag was mostly just claws and not enough garlic The place is located at the Shoppes of Chino Hills outlet, so parking is relatively easy. After being seated, the servers were nice, but it was difficult to enjoy the experience because of everything that had already happened. Overall, the service was a huge letdown, and we did not feel comfortable eating here. Places like this are why tipping is optional. The workers at the Kickin' Crab location we usually go to are way more laidback and friendlier, yet still maintain impeccable service. Would not return.

What a unique experience!…read more Grilling, bbq-ing, etc is a norm but steaming your food on the table? Now that's something else! I really enjoyed the dinner I had, they offer lots of options, from freshly made buns, dumplings to fresh seafood. The menu is pretty extensive and they also offer cooked dishes from the kitchen. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They made sure we get the best experience as it was our first time dining at this place. We had the big eye fish as they called it and they steamed it at the other empty table because our buns and dumplings were steaming at the same time to save time. They finish the fish at the kitchen with the hot oil and sauce. We also had the pork and shrimp buns, and beef dumplings. They were delicious! You can make your sauce at the station too and they provide good options. We also got the baby oysters appetizer that was soaking in some sort of light soy sauce marinade. Also got the soft shell crab and you get 3 whole crabs for $10! It was so worth it! The whole restaurant looked clean and inviting. The booths were spacious. I would definitely come back here and try other dishes!

The meat was sweet and tender, and the sauce had a nice balance of savory flavor without overpowering the natural seafood taste. You can tell the quality of the seafood is solid. Each dishes had its own highlight. Ambiance is modern and clean, giving a slightly upscale seafood house vibe. Service was decent and the food came out nicely presented.
