I had lunch at Ayee Rice Noodle in Chino Hills last Friday. I've visited both Ayee locations in Rowland Heights before and really enjoyed them, so I decided to give the Chino Hills location a try. It definitely did not disappoint! The restaurant is located inside the food court of 99 Ranch Market. You can place your order using the self-service kiosk, but while I was ordering, the owner came over to help and explain the menu. I asked him what the difference was between this location and the Rowland Heights stores, and he laughed and told me that he's actually the father of the owner of the Rowland Heights location! I ordered the Braised Beef Basket Rice Noodle Soup ($14.99), and it was excellent. The portion was huge! I couldn't even finish it! I actually think the serving size is larger than the same dish at the Rowland Heights location. I also ordered the Boiled Lettuce ($7.99), which was delicious. I especially appreciated that the sauce was served on the side instead of being poured over the vegetables. It allowed me to control how much sauce I wanted, so the dish wasn't overly salty. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable for the generous portions. As a bonus, I was able to watch the World Cup while having lunch since there are plenty of seats in the food court. Overall, I had a wonderful lunch at Ayee Rice Noodle in Chino Hills and will definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommended! read more

Ordered the congee with pork and preserved egg, and it was everything I expected and more. I got it to-go, and it was still piping hot when I received it. The flavors were on point -- not too salty, just right (iykyk). Ordering was done through a kiosk, but a sweet older gentleman handed me my order, which added a nice personal touch. VERY good!!!! I needed a quick Scooby snack. It's sad to see this mini food hall only has 4 stalls serving eats. The pictures of these steamed rice rolls called my name. I ordered the shrimp ones with added char siu pork. I'm sad I didn't add egg because those pics on yelp looked good . I love steamed or soft scrambled eggs. Next time! I chose the garlic mushroom sauce, the other option was sweetened soy sauce. Ordered at the kiosk and sat down awaiting this lovely smelling food They definitely make your food with love! It took a minute. They're a nice elderly couple so your food is made with love :) She served my food with a nice little cup of chili crisp. I definitely needed 3 more of those. I'm a saucy girl!!! Located in 99 Ranch with other surviving stalls. Looks like it's run by an old couple that are friendly. You order at one of the kiosks and they'll call your number. They take card. They have a nice selection of items: rice rolls, noodles soup, dim sum, congee. I've been to this spot a few times and always go with the braised brisket with rice. You get a good portion of rice, your briskets and some veggies. Flavors are good. Briskets aren't dry; good ratio of fat to meat. The only thing is the brisket sits on top of the veggies in a separate compartment so they get soggy. It'll be good if you want your veggies to soak in the juice but keeping the veggies separate would be better if you need something fresh after taking a bite of something fatty. Maybe have the briskets sit on the rice instead? Let the rice soak up the juice! read more

There are many food stalls to choose from, but if you want good rice rolls/rice noodle soups/dim sums/small bites/etc., they really deliver results here. You can taste it and feel it. Foods are delicious. Staffs are hardworking. It's a very quiet area, but there are more than enough tables and chairs inside the food hall to dine-in comfortably. Restrooms are down the hallway. Spicy beef brisket flat noodles soup was hot and not too spicy, but definitely delicious and authentic. Soup wasn't too salty, so I really like it. Regular beef brisket rice plate had veggies in it. Yummy. Their rice ingredients are good and soft here. Fresh! Inexpensive. Order at kiosk and employee is ready to assist as needed. He even carried our order to the table which we didn't expect at a food court. Generous people. Good portions. Decent. Must love stopping here for casual bites. Visited Ayee Rice Noodles Roll in Chino this past few weekend for breakfast. Since it's located at the Cravings, it was pretty empty since the remaining stalls open later. The ordering system is very straightforward as you order with the kiosk. We ordered the cilantro/scallion rice roll, shrimp roll and sticky rice. Once the food is ready, it's placed at their pickup station for you to bring to your table. The food was very well seasoned and the portions are good for the price. This is a super convenient restaurant located inside the Cravings/99 Ranch Market food court. The owner wonder is super nice and welcoming. He let us tried the stewed beef brisket, it was amazingly flavorful (not salty, a hint of spicy, and super tender). The rice noodle roll is definitely handmade, we saw the owner cooking in the kitchen. I suggest on adding an egg to the roll, definitely add an another level to the dish. This place is one of the few traditional and authentic canto restaurants around the area. Definitely worth a try! There are lots of desks and chairs in the food court. Since it's a food court, everything is self-served; but the owner's friendliness and vibe treats this food stand like his very own restaurant. read more

I mostly came here because of the rice rolls which are kind of hard to come by unless you're in the SGV. My sister and I shared the following: -siu mai ($6.99) -shrimp rice rolls ($8.99) -BBQ pork rice ($13.99) Rice rolls were textually soft and giving what they needed to give. I noticed, after the fact, that you can customize your rice rolls with different ingredients including an egg (!!). I will be definitely be back to customize my roll. The siu mai was pretty standard - good, standard - nothing particularly memorable, but siu mai enough to satiate any craving. I also thought the BBQ pork rice was pretty serviceable. It was a teeny tiny bit dry, but it was fine. You order at a kiosk so there's not a ton of human interaction going on here, however, we were served by an older gentleman who could have been someone's grandfather. This is located inside 99 Ranch - the Cravings foodcourt. We've been here twice since this opened and we're a huge fan! They open earlier than the other stalls and also close earlier so make sure you check the hours before showing up. There is one person working there and he told us he's the owner. His wife runs another location in Rowland Heights area and it's very popular, and this is the second location. My mom likes their noodle soups with either beef ball or pork balls. If you're looking for something very strong in flavor this wouldn't be your cup of tea. It's good though and without tons of msg. What I really like here are their rice rolls. Their beef one, shrimp one, and BBQ pork ones are all good. I highly recommend their sticky rice as well. Apparently this is one of their specialty items. read more

My coworkers have been raving about the congee served at the City Of Industry Ayee location and I was stoked to find out that another location opened closer to me. I brought my parents, who grew up in Hong Kong, to the spot and the experience fell short. The rice noodles rolls were decent, with good flavor. It's the crinkly kind and not the neatly rolled types found in traditional dimsum restaurants (is this a regional thing?). The congee however, was disappointing. Very watered down and lacked actual rice. The rice that was inside was not fluffy, but gritty bits. They did serve the congee piping hot, which is a huge plus. Perhaps it's just growing pains or the store trying to figure out its workflow. I will be back again to see if there are any improvements. read more

Located in the food hall in Cravings, AYEE is dead center. I've a sucker for rice rolls and it's not too common finding a place that makes it in this area. I stopped by on a Thursday around noon and got myself a Shrimp rice roll and BBQ Pork rice roll. All in all it cost me $19 for both after tax. The rolls came with sweet soy sauce and I even got some chili oil with it. They were incredibly fresh and hot and I loved the little bit of steamed cabbage in it. I'll be back soon! read more

You have to enter The Cravings Market, and you will find them on the right hand side in a small food hall. I ordered the Shrimp Rice Roll (with Garlic Mushroom Sauce), Mushroom Shrimp Shiu Mai, and the Sticky Rice Chicken. They open at 9:00 a.m., so this is a breakfast alternative. The portions were great and everything seemed cooked to order. You order on a Kiosk and cards only. The kind older gentlemen and I conversed through his phone translator. The sheets of rice roll were dense and overlapping, the sticky rice was freshly steamed, and the Mushroom Shrimp Shiu Mai didn't taste anything like mushroom, so that was a plus. No spice to any of the food, so add your own chili condiments. I would suggest they clean their kiosk as it was smudgy. Dim Sum is very limited, but there are other offering to explore. My order took about 20 minutes, so I suggest you go shopping inside the HUGE Cravings Market, while your order is made because there are 100's of good things to buy in there while you wait. read more

Pleasantly surprised by this place as it's in the food court of Ranch 99. I would say it was the most popular option there and who doesn't love rice rolls? I went to the kiosk and ordered both the wonton noodle soup and the beef ball noodle soup. After putting in my order, I waited for 30 MINUTES for my food. Couldn't believe it took that long to get my food for some simple noodle soup. At least it's fresh? That being said, the wonton noodle soup was really good. It had a nice portion of noodles and I think there were around 8 wontons. The beef ball noodle soup was similar but it had less beef balls and was generally not as worth it. Both were $13.99 so not bad but not amazing. Would I come back for this food? Probably not. Would I eat here again if I was shopping? I would go straight here without a thought. read more
