Wow....I find it almost impossible to believe people pay to eat at this place. This is literally the worst tasting Chinese "food" I have ever attempted to eat. Every thing I ordered was just horrible. The beef was mushy and full of fat, the chicken looks like beef and everything else was just a bland and slimy. I've been a big fan of Tasty Goody in Upland...however this Montclair location is still growing on me. Let me say this first---their Hot and Sour soup is to die for! IT'S AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really can't get enough of it. I usually get it atleast once or twice a week since it's been open. Me and my family has visited here quite a few times since it first opened. Unfortunately most of those times, the orange chicken has been on the very dry side. The teriyaki chicken has been on the dry side too. Another thing I noticed is that the portions (besides the food) is very inconsistent. Depending on which server you get will depend on how much you get. 2 of the ladies that worked at the Upland location are great. They always give great portions. But this new lady (She never can understand what I'm telling her it's frustrating) gives crappy portions. I orded the 2 item in the big container to share with my mom and dad and she barely filled it up. I was honestly thinking "REALLY"? I didnt bother to tell her though because like I said, she doesn't understand me. I'm not trying to sound ignorant, but this is frustrating to me!! The fried rice and chowmein are fine. Same quality as upland location. I ordered my meal at 11:15 the other morning and the meat was cold. I live right around the corner so I was thinking "REALLY?!?!". I hope they take this into consideration.... DRY ORANGE CHICKEN / ANY CHICKEN ENTREE is NO GOOD. This is my 2nd time at this new location. The staff is very friendly and funny! Found out one of them is from my hometown and drives from temple city to work here. Amazing! The service is fast and they pack my food up. I had enough to feed 3 people. I just got off work from SGV, And hit this place exiting the fwy. The food is so good, high quality, and as the name implies TASTY I am not eating at any other Chinese restaurant ever! The Thai tea is out of this world! The wonton soup is ecstasy! The steam table warmed fast food approach has broken free of the mall food court and now infests the little neighborhoods. I ordered a 3 meat plate and got about 1/2 pound of fried rice. THIS is what replaced Pho 357? tsk tsk! First off, as other reviews have said the portions are Goody, but they forgot to give me the Tasty!. The quality was worse than frozen Chinese food. It's sad to say, but first time I can say you are better off at the Panda Express 2 blocks west of here. The person yelling at his employees in the serving area should have given me a hint about the place. The employees had a hard time getting my order correct giving me 2 soups when I wanted 1. Not sure if it was lack of English skills or being shook-up with this dude snapping at them. To top it off it was super expensive for Chinese Fast food! All shrimp dishes are $2 more! The 2 stars is because the owner lady is EXTREMELY nice and is very accommodating but the food wasn't anything special. I really, really wanted to like this place cuz it's so close by but I just didn't enjoy it, love their Thai Tea and milk teas! I always try to give this place another chance and I think this might have been the 3rd time of major NOPE! Their soup is actually pretty decent though! Food was just really salty and I think 7 11 would have been a better choice :( sorry. When I got home I ended up throwing all of it away. Which was only a couple bites of not enjoying it. I'm either one lucky SOB, or its everyone and not just me. We've been here about three times now, and every time we've gotten food here, its been super fresh despite the fact that it's sitting right there in the little cafeteria style tray thingies under the heat lamps. The chow mein is good, the rice is rice, but not too shabby, and the teriyaki chicken, mushroom chicken, BBQ pork, and orange chicken were all delicious, and not overly sauced and soggy like some other Americanized Chinese fast food places. I rather enjoyed the Kung Pao Chicken as well, but one thing they do differently is they don't put the peanuts in it when it cooks, and you actually have to ask for them separately. The service has always been friendly each and every time we have gone, both when we've gotten it to go, and when we've stayed to eat there. The ladies are always all smiles and it just goes to show you how far a good smile can go when there's a language barrier, as one of the ladies never speaks.
