My parents came the day before and had pho and chao hen (baby clams). The pho was meh but the ginger chao hen was delish ( I ate my mom's leftovers). My husband and my daughter came with me the next day I ordered the rice cake dish, com hen, daughter had pho, husband had bun rieu and fried tofu. Ok the rice dish was good but had too much topping, the com hen shrimp paste fish sauce was overpowering--don't pour the whole thing on! Pho was meh. Bun rieu husband said was ok. The tofu was good but warning the dipping sauce is the shrimp paste sauce that a lot of people can't handle. It's very overwhelming. I like shrimp paste but I didn't expect it with tofu. We had 2 types of the che and I liked it although I've had better. My husband and daughter had the boba drinks. Chocolate mint and the cookies & cream. Good flavor except the boba were broken so they're not round and they're kinda mushy. Oh my mom had mi xao mem do bien for take out. That was off. It had shrimp & onions & bell peppers and a few calamari. It smelled so seafoody we backed up when we opened the container. Flavor was gross. My das had hu tieu thap cam take out. That was tasty. My mom, my friend, and I came here after being discriminated by the staff at Pho Kien Giang. We arrived here, with my service dog, and the staff member asked me for an identification card for my service dog. I directed him to ada.gov's website and told him that "[s]taff cannot ask about the person's disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog, or ask that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work or task." However he can ask "two questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform" to which I provided answers. He nodded and immediately seated us. So let's talk about the food. My mom had the grilled shrimp vermicelli bowl, my friend had the combo vermicelli bowl, and I had the grilled pork chop with broken rice. OMG. Our taste buds were ALIVE. I haven't had grilled pork chop as flavorful and delicious since NOLA. The menu here is thorough. My friend and I are determined to come back and eventually eat everything on the menu. We randomly found this place because the first place we tried to go to was non-existent! Good thing we found this place though because YUMMY!! We got the veggie spring rolls as an app, I got the pork skin vermicelli bowl, my boyfriend got fried rice with added pork, and we both got Thai iced tea! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because 1. The spring rolls were a bit boring with just vermicelli noodles, cucumber, and mint (too much for my liking!), 2. Too much mint in the vermicelli bowl as well, and 3. They unnecessarily used crazy amounts of plastic. Our Thai iced teas were in plastic cups with plastic straws instead of paper instead of glass and we really think this restaurant could use more sustainable practices. Hands down, my favorite place for vegetarian pho in the entire Tampa Bay area. Such a huge portion and the broth is so tasty without being overly salty. The price is good and the service is usually decent. The atmosphere is nothing special, but it's not a deterrent because the food is so good. First time here and what a pleasant experience! I knew walking in that I was going to have the Shrimp Pho and it did not disappoint. It was tasty, the shrimp were perfectly prepared and the vegetables fresh and crunchy. The noodles also were perfect. The portion was generous so I was able to enjoy my leftovers for lunch the next day too. The restaurant is in a strip mall so parking was a breeze. Walking up to the door the restaurant is very unassuming. Upon walking in we were immediately greeted and seated at a nice booth. There were several single people already seated and while we were there the restaurant filled up. And it was a Monday! I did have one challenge. The plastic chopsticks were very difficult for me to use. I have used chopsticks all of my life with success so that was embarrassing. Next time I go, I hope to remember to take my own . Came in for lunch on Thursday at 11:20, only a few other customers. We were socially distanced in our seating with hand sani and a sign that said "1. sanitize hands 2. Masks on 3. sani wipes and wait to be seated." As I sat down someone else was leaving and the table was bussed and sanitized immediately. I already knew i wanted Pho. I ordered the Tasty pho regular size and it was huge. I got Thai tea with Boba and deep fried egg rolls. The tea came quickly and was followed soon after by the egg rolls. The tea was great, sweet and chewy boba gathered at the bottom. The egg rolls were hot and crunchy with a great sauce to dip them in. Looking around I saw a nice decor clean, sharp and 4 or 5 televisions on the wall. The server area and prep area were clean looking. The Pho came right on time after my app, the regular size is big for Pho standards. Meat was plentiful and delicious, the noodles were a clump in the bottom and I had to pull it apart to get at them. Once the basil, jalapeño, sprouts, hoisin, siracha were added i mixed and pulled and off we go! Went a lil hard on the heat and my nose started getting runny, but i love it. Pho really cleans you out and fills you up at the same time, amazing hangover cure btw. I completely enjoyed the meal and the staff was just attentive enough without going over board. Been to a few pho restaurants in Tampa Bay Area and this has been the best pho so far! It was the best broth I've had in a while... incredibly flavorful. I also had the pleasure of trying one of their pork banh mi's. The meat has a delicious sweet sauce that pairs perfectly with the fresh slices of carrot, cucumber, coriander leafs, and jalapeño. French baguette was toasted and had a nice crunch. It also only costs $5 so I would recommend getting two if you are especially hungry! I's also one of the nicest-looking pho restaurants. Best restaurant for Vietnamese food. It's a must-have. This restaurant has this traditional feeling around it. When they mean "Tasty Pho" they mean "Tasty Pho". Even when they're busy, the food and drinks arrives quickly, and still in good shape. Their Phos have this fresh aroma coming from it, kind of like a soup. The cooks are pretty experienced on what they do. The broth of the Pho is hot. The meat is well cooked. The noodles aren't tough nor hard, easy to bite into. The waiters arrives with a small plate of herbs, Brussel Sprouts, and chunks of lime. Overall have a wide variety of soups, plenty to choose from. Also with the "Broken Rice" as well. I ordered the "Broken Rice" plenty of times because it was enjoyable to eat. The pork is packed with flavor, and the pickled carrots are addicting. The rice is in this perfect round shape. The arrangement of the things on the plate reminds me of a luxurious place where they decorate their plates of food. I love the "Heavenly Wings" (in photo) and it came quickly. It's the right amount of crispiness and it was practically hot when it arrived here. The sweet chili sauce just blends in with the taste of the chicken. The "Shrimp Crunch Roll" is like egg rolls but the shrimp is inside it. The egg roll is crunchy, and it looks similar to the photo. What's cool is that they have Bubble Tea (or Boba), Smoothies, and those bean drinks. I've had a few of their drinks in the past. In my experiences, the Vietnamese coffee is strong, with a hint of sweetness. Thai tea isn't too sweet, but sweet in moderation. The Taro smoothie hits my childhood memories. Also if you order any boba from here, the Tapioca Pearls are different than you might expect. They are smaller in comparison to the other shops that sells similar drinks. read more

I have also tried the pho before and the broth is amazing! Everything tasted fresh and we had a great time, again. They were crispy and delicious and were served with a very tasty, light sauce for dipping. The bowls of pho arrived steaming hot . My friend doesn't use chopsticks and didn't feel comfortable asking for a fork for her noodles. We both took home half of our meal. The menu is extensive. In addition, they also have rice dishes, porridge, vermicelli noodles, and desserts / che. I keep trying to give this place a chance and they always come through with disappointment. Order a banh canh and the packaged banh canh noodles came out hard, broth was the hu tieu broth. I was confused. Sent it back to change the noodles and received hu tieu. The hu tieu noodles tasted like they were microwaved too long and linger taste of the package it was in. Sad. After dining here multiple times I can say this is some of the most consistent & best pho around. I always get beef pho, but I recently tried the spicy beef noodle soup which was also great and not overbearing on spice. The wings are nice and crispy, and small enough to eat before a bowl of pho, but be warned, the regular size pho is enough on its own, as the portions are very generous. Nice Vietnamese place during our trip to the area. The service is excellent. I think the guy's name is Clark, he gave very useful reccommendations on the menu. Pho is tad on the sweet side, but it's still tasty. Rice plates are good too. Congee is very soupy but very flavorful. The chicken congee has some shredded chicken on top. We had an issue with some of the chairs dirty, but they cleaned them up with no issue. The reason I give 4 stars is because the flavor is not as good as the ones in San Jose, CA. Sure, I've known about Tasty Pho for a while--- there are advertisements everywhere, and on almost every bus stop bench on Park Avenue. With a name like "Tasty Pho" and no Vietnamese customers to be seen in the dining room, I figured that the food must be Americanized. Also, the specific Yelper that recommended Tasty Pho to is not trustworthy when it comes to this style of cuisine. If you did not know that I am a food snob, shame on you for not noticing. Anyways, I had put off eating at Tasty Pho for long enough to try other places in the area. But then, I checked their photos... wait, they have Bánh Bèo, Bánh Kht, and a whole menu dedicated to creating your own Chè ?!?!? Just the Chè menu is enough to lure me in! The Tasty Salad, even in size small, is enough for me. I just like to order the Tasty Salad, Bánh Kht, and Chè for dessert. My favorite Chè is coconut, green bean, taro pudding, pandan jelly, with coconut milk and light ice--- So refreshing. The quality of the ingredients rivals even the best businesses that just sell it as their namesake. While I am still a little conflicted by the additional amounts of sugar dumped into not only their Pho broth, but also the house fish sauce--- the food is damn delicious. Maybe I like the battle of sugar and salt that is taking place, or maybe just because I am undoubtedly white. Oh, the controversy! Soups can be ordered in up to four sizes, even Xe Lua. The service is excellent and their house made chili oil is their best kept secret. Ask for the chili oil, it is complimentary and I cannot even figure out the ingredients. Fresh chili and lemongrass? I forgot to ask if they have the Wifi. I have order the combination Tasty Beef Noodle pho and grilled shrimp sub Banh Mi Tom Nuong. The Tasty Beef Noodle is combination of slice beef, beef flank, beef ball, beef tripe and beef tendon. I like this noodle soup due to the tripe and tendon are big and whole piece. The soup has a bit of minty taste. The grill shrimp sub is sub is best one I have. The shrimp is include a bit black pepper and they are grill to perfection. The bun is toasted and crispy. I ordered the large bowl of beef pho and it did not disappoint!! The value for the size of the portion is awesome. One of the more flavorful pho broths that I've had. I only tried the pho this time around but given the quality I will definitely try some of the other menu items next time.
