So glad to welcome this new authentic asian spot. Having just moved here (from NYC area!), we were worried about our options here, so we will be supporting this local business often!

Tried Tasty Pot since they're new in town and wow, totally worth the hype. From the moment we sat down, the service was AMAZING. Our server was super friendly, checked on us multiple times, refilled our water and soup, and even gave us a recommendation for the popcorn chicken... which was SOOO good. Crispy, flavorful, and honestly addictive. The restaurant itself is big, clean, and spacious, so you don't feel cramped at all, huge plus. We were worried the hotpot would only be enough for one person, but nope! It fed three of us, and we still had leftovers to take home The hotpot soup base was a little bland at first, BUT once we added the side sauces, it completely leveled up. Solid 4/5 for the hotpot. Now let me talk about the SIZZLING POT that thing was PACKED with flavor. Hands down my favorite dish and an easy 5/5. I'd come back just for that. Overall: Service: 5/5 Hotpot: 4/5 Sizzling pot: 5/5 We'll definitely be back, especially for the sizzling pots. Welcome to Redding, Tasty Pot. Overall rating: 4.5/5

Tasty Pot is one of my go-to spots when I'm craving comforting, flavorful hot pot. I'm so glad we have one in redding now. The broth options are rich and well-seasoned, and everything tastes fresh and high quality. I ordered # 7 Taiwanese pot ,the beef was tender, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The portions are generous and very filling, especially for the price. The restaurant is clean, and great for both solo meals and eating with friends. If you enjoy hot pot or want to try something warm and satisfying, Tasty Pot is definitely worth a visit. I'll be coming back again!

This place was very nice and decorated warmly. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. My partner ordered the Thai flavored hot soup, and I ordered the Japanese miso soup. The soup is certainly hot not flavor wise, but temperature wise, I was so happy once my flame thing finally burned out and the soup started cooling down so that I could actually enjoy it. I was a bit off put by the raw egg that came out on top of mine until it was cooked in the hot liquid. The service was prompt efficient and friendly. The bathroom was extremely clean and well stocked.

    Sizzling Beef with Rice

Absolutely amazing experience! The food came out sizzling hot and full of flavor. I ordered the sizzling hot plate with beef topped with cheese and egg. It was perfectly cooked around the edges added such a rich, savory touch, and everything blended together beautifully. The black pepper sauce is to die for! You can tell they really care about quality and presentation. The portion size was generous, and every bite was satisfying. Service was friendly and attentive. If you're craving something hearty, comforting, and packed with flavor, this is the spot. I'll definitely be coming back!

Tasty Pot is hands down one of my favorite spots for comfort food. From the moment you walk in, the place is clean, cozy, and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. The real star, though, is the food. The photos does not do it justify, you will need to go in and try it yourself. Highly recommend this spot.

    Pepper Beef Hotplate

Tastypot is my go-to place for personal hotpot, so I was thrilled that they finally opened a location in Redding. I stopped by during their soft opening and had a great experience overall. I ordered the popcorn chicken and the lamb hotpot (medium spicy) with rice. The popcorn chicken was amazing--hot, crispy, and packed with authentic five-spice flavor, just like the kind you'd find in Taiwan. The lamb hotpot portions were very generous, with a great balance of meat and vegetables. Everything was cooked perfectly, the spice level was just right, and the broth was incredibly flavorful. I usually rely heavily on dipping sauces at other hotpot places, but the broth here was so good that I barely used any sauce at all--which really says a lot. Our table also ordered the pepper beef hotplate rice and the udon. Both dishes came out hot and sizzling. The flavors were spot on, and the udon had an amazing texture--bouncy and perfectly cooked. I had so much food that I saved the rest of my hotplate for the next day, and I was shocked at how fresh it still tasted. The rice was still plump and bouncy, and it honestly tasted like an elevated buttery pepper fried rice--10/10! The service was a bit slow, but it was their soft opening and they were quite busy, which is totally understandable. Once they got to us, the staff were very kind and friendly. The ambiance is clean and welcoming, and the owner mentioned they are still adding more touches as they're just starting out. This place will definitely become one of my favorite restaurants to visit, and I'll absolutely be back very soon.

Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. Nice ambiance though. I felt I was a bit underdressed lol

I wasn't hungry so I had the kid's size chicken tenders 2 pieces and fries. My husband had Mimi's Southern BBQ sandwich on a bun, macaroni and cheese, plus half of my fries. That sandwich was huge. Three large chicken tenders, BBQ sauce, plus cheese, bacon, slaw, onion straws and looked to be enough for two people. He enjoyed it, and ate about 2/3rds of it. Only comment from him was something about going on a diet when his work training was over! The chicken tenders were good, flavorful, and big. The fries, supposedly a kid's portion, was very generous. They were good, but had an oniony taste to them. Better than average, though. I'd definitely return with an appetite!

I am pretty boring with my order and always just get chicken tenders and fries but the breading on both the chicken and fries is just too good. The chicken is always extremely juicy and cooked to perfection and I love how thin and crunchy the fries are. They have a lot of different sauces to choose from and I love having so many different ones to dip while eating. My go-to's are buffalo, ranch, and the spicy BBQ. Honorable mention to the mango habanero. Overall if you want some good fried chicken, try this place! I miss it everyday I'm not in it's vicinity.

When asking if they use tamari or gluten free soy sauce, she said she wasn't sure and pointed to a list of salad dressing options that were marked. Not their rice bowls toppings - heads up- it's regular soy sauce. Also since I was asking all the gluten free questions, it would have been nice to be informed that the tacos were also served on flour tortillas. Not the cashier or the menu indicated this. Luckily I do not have a severe allergy, or I'd be furious. Obviously this place is a bakery, so there's gluten everywhere. I'm not mad, honestly. Just a little disappointed. Any information is best. I got the chimichurri steak tacos, which are covered in chipotle aioli - I'd honestly rename them to be chipotle steak tacos. Get zero chimichurri, the aioli completely takes over. I do like the steak isn't tough though, so still get some points for the attempt. For me, and my gluten sensitivity, probably won't be back since there aren't many options that are actually gluten free.

Let's start with In store ordering is the only way to order from them. The food is really really good, fresh, fairly quick and moderately priced. It's worth the cost for what you get. Ordering Togo can have mistakes and ordering for delivery, well continue reading. Now.... I Would not recommend ordering from their 'From the Hearth' app. When you download it and order from it it seems as though it's an app they monitor and delivery would be private. It's DoorDash that the 'ordering/payment/delivery it actually goes through. Here's where it gets frustrating. On DoorDash app when an order is incorrect you can file a claim and get a refund. You cannot do that with this app, nor is there anyone to help you through From the Hearth side and it's missing the DoorDash side. I've done several home deliveries through the app and mostly items were correct, a few times fries or sauces, added ingredient's to a dish we're missing and we'd than have to go to the store to get them, which is manageable but the experience I'd like to really share is: I made a $175 order to feed my family and friends that were in town. It took over 2.5hrs to finally get delivered to us, it even got delivered to the wrong house and when trying to get it figured out through From the Hearth staff they treated me as if I was lying and would not remake the food nor refund me. The food was literally "missing" and I was told I had to go through the subsidiary (DoorDash) that's when I learned it was not their app and they had no responsibility once it left their store. But really for me, It was the way the From the Hearth staff responded to the incident that truly baffles me and makes me not eat there anymore. I use to frequent the business several times a month, this was extremely rude and made me very disappointed. I would NOT recommend them based on their customer service by this experience.
