I liked how the waitress kept asking if we wanted more broth. I love drinking a lot of broth, so I assumed it was unlimited. I think the burner keeping our pot boiling may have turned off, because I ran out of soup and she never came back to ask if I wanted more broth. A table behind my husband, who arrived after us, kept getting asked if they wanted more broth. At one point, we made eye contact, but she didn't come back to check on our table, so we just asked for a to-go container since we don't like wasting food. Luckily, another waiter noticed my bowl without broth and asked if I wanted more, and I said yes. Really great experience. Tasty and hot food. Loved that I could customize my Szechuan pot and I removed the pig aorta and fish balls. I loved the beef, fried tofu and I added the instant noodles. There were still many open tables. This is a smaller restaurant with pretty chill vibes inside. Looked through the menu for about 10-15 minutes and then had our order taken. The food came out pretty quickly after ordering. We had our own pots with the burners underneath to keep the soup boiling. I had the kimchi dumpling soup and my friend ordered the beef hot soup. I didn't realize how much we could or couldn't customize so for our first time we just ordered the soups as they came. If we come back, I will definitely customize as there were parts I really liked and others that I didn't. And now I know. Hot Soups Menu #1-#7 are standard portion size, and #8-#12 are larger and meant to be for more than 1 person. Once you pick your Hot Soup flavor and spice level, you can add on veggies or meats that don't already come with. Rice or noodles, and additional sauces at the table (miso, garlic, chili). Refills on broth if needed. Mild level spice is generally too hot for me, and I lean towards rice over vermicelli noodles. I've tried the #1 Beef, #2 Lamb, #3 Cheesy Milk, #4 Curry, #7 Kimchi Dumpling, #8 Thai, and #10 Miso. I've also had their fried potstickers, nori fries, calamari, and tea. This is a typical hot pot establishment. I ordered the Japanese miso hot pot, which consisted of sliced pork, crab, udon, assorted vegetables, and rice on the side. The broth was lightly seasoned. I sampled my sister's beef hot pot and it was very flavorful. I prefer the beef hot pot over the miso hot pot. We also ordered a side of small sausages, which was just okay. The fries were great as it consisted of some type of seasoning. They ran out of calamari so we settled for the egg rolls, which was just okay. The milk tea tasted somewhat watered down. I really wish more restaurants did this! The hot pot experience overall was enjoyable. The broth was flavorful, and the ingredients were fresh and plentiful. I ordered the Thai bowl, which came loaded with seafood--so definitely keep that in mind if you're not a big seafood fan. It also had thinly sliced of beef. I paired mine with a side of rice, but in hindsight, I think noodles would have been a better choice to soak up the broth. One small issue was that the soup came out extremely hot, which made it tough to eat quickly, especially since we were on a tight schedule. Still, it's better than lukewarm soup any day. The complimentary green tea was a nice touch--light, soothing, and perfect with the meal. All in all, it was a good experience and I'd come back again, especially with a group. A hidden solid hot pot location right out of i-5 exit to Del Paso Blvd. If you like soups, snacks, and beer with a variety of cute soju flavors to pair with the dishes, or need a place for a meeting! I normally don't prefer Taiwanese hot pot versus the one you make on your own, but this HIT the other night! I ordered the #2, which was the lamb option. For the amount of food you're getting, the price was great, and I even had leftovers for the next day. All the toppings are always very fresh, and it's such a good option for a cold day. I also tried the calamari which I was very impressed by. They were perfectly priced and the spicy mayo was perfect. I just wish the portion was bigger! To finish off the night, I got a mango green tea, and it was a perfect end to the meal. The tea taste wasn't too strong, which is just how I like it, and it wasn't too sweet either. Really wanted some soup. I had some specific dietary needs which they did not abide by. Like absolutely no seafood or shellfish! And my soup had shrimp. After trying Tasty Pot in Roseville last month, I wanted to try this Natomas location since I was craving something hot and soupy (in 90+ degree weather nonetheless lol). There was plenty of seating and I'd recommend bringing a light sweater if you get cold easily bc their a/c and ceiling fans were full blast. We got the Taiwanese Supreme and the Thai flavor. Both had great-tasting broth flavor and a generous portion of veggies and proteins. It was kind of unexpected to have a whole crab in the Thai one but it was our bad not reading the menu carefully, and luckily we could take our leftovers to go. One tip for not burning your tongue is don't eat directly out of the pot but put your noodles, meat, veggie, and a few scoops of broth into the little bowl and THEN enjoy. We also tried their wintermelon lemon iced tea (7/10), old plum lemon iced tea (3/10) and mango iced tea (7/10). I would give them 4 stars, however I was blown away by how kind and helpful their staff was s extra star added for that. Will def be back! read more

My buddy and i Looooove the Tasty pot in Elk Grove. So when we were working in Natomas and found out they had a location here we showed up at 11 am during opening. The young men that services the place is very respectful and filled up our water cups every time. The food came out pretty fast. I have to say if you frequent the Elk Grove location a lot like we do the broth is a little different(to where you can barely tell) but i believe the portions here are a lot better and they give you more than the Elk Grove location instead of just putting a lot of cabbage in. read more
