What an amazing place to get Chinese and Szechuan food in Bellevue. The restaurant is huge and beautiful with lots of seating. The hospitality and service here was amazing. The food came out super fast too. My favorite was the salted egg yolk pumpkin! Overall I highly recommend this place and would come back!

One of the best authentic Chinese restaurants in Bellevue!! This restaurant has a full parking lot and even a karaoke room/private lounge area (I inquired about it from the waiter and they mentioned that there is a minimum $consumption required to book it) Food was so authentic humongous portion for the price and so yummy !! Service was kind and attentive too. The restaurant is very spacious and beautiful interior with authentic vibe. I like that there are different types of seating for a single person, couples, small groups and large groups. Definitely a good spot to hang out with friends or celebratory events

Got takeout and ordered the green beans, potstickers and pork with dry bean curd and chinese celery. Everything was delicious. Will look forward to trying some spicy dishes next time.

I've come here twice; once for lunch and once for dinner. We ordered different dishes each time and was pleasantly surprised by everything. All the dishes were very delicious and they're extremely fast to serve! The steamed fish took the longest but that obviously needs extra care and time to prepare. Highly recommend for groups or family meals.

This was my second time at Tasty Szechuan and first time taking my family here. We normally don't eat much Szechuan since my family doesn't enjoy eating much deep-fried food and spice, but we decided to give it a try. We ordered the CHIVES PANCAKES, CUMIN BEEF, SLICED FISH, & DAN DAN NOODLES. You order via a QR code app at the table, and so we requested that all dishes mild spicy and with no MSG. We also ordered three sides of white rice. The CHIVES PANCAKES were the star of the meal! They were gigantic and came in a set of two pancakes, but each pancake was more than enough for two people to share. They were stuffed with an egg and chive filling and pan fried golden on the outside. They were made fresh to order and served hot off the pan! As my dad said, he would go back to get just these for a quick takeout lunch. The CUMIN BEEF was the largest dish of them all- they definitely don't skip on the beef and onions! It had great cumin flavor, but was pretty oily (as most Szechuan food tends to be). You definitely need to eat rice with this dish. The beef also was overly tenderized in baking soda and had no chew to it. The SLICED FISH was our least favorite dish, and probably the strangest dish that we ordered. It came with black fungus, snap peas, and tomatoes. However, it was extremely overly salted and mushy. I've also never had stir-fried tomatoes in a Chinese dish before, and I can't say they quite went with the dish. It would've been nice to have some crunchier vegetables to complement the mushy cod. We would not order this again. Lastly, the DAN DAN NOODLES were just alright. They were nowhere close to as good as the dan dan noodles at Supreme Dumplings or Dough Zone. The noodles were disappointingly overcooked and thus had not chew to them. The sauce also lacked flavor and was very oily. Service was decent. The waitstaff came to check our order and also ensure that we had our water cups full throughout the meal. Although the chives pancakes were listed as an appetizer, they came out last and so we were already pretty full from the rest of the meal by the time they came out. In terms of ambiance, the exterior is kind of tacky and reminds me of the Krusty Krab, but the interior is clean and modern. While the food was a hit and miss this past visit, I hope to come back and try the salted egg and pumpkin and the golden sesame buns. Overall: 3/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 3.5/5 for atmosphere

Great price, large portion. Most dishes are good. Some of them may not be that good. Still pricey on seafood but it's reasonable. recommend fried rice cake came with brown sugar. They update the menu all the time, and free parking

Stopped by right as the restaurant opened and was greeted by a friendly waiter. Food was decent and priced nicely at just $9.95--plus, it included a soup of your choice on the side. Great value for a quick bite!

A friend recommended this place to me so I have to try it out. The interior is comfortable and spacious. My hubby and I came for lunch and were surprised to learn that they offer $9.99 lunch! I ordered the kung pao shrimp and he ordered the veggies stir fried fish. The server even offered us with sweet and sour soup or egg drop soup with the meal. The service was quick and courteous. I didn't expect my dish came with heavy sauce but my husband's dish was very good. We felt this was a great value meal. The service and portion were excellent at this price point.

This restaurant is huge with multiple rooms, but is understaffed. They tried to squeeze way too many tables with a table even almost right in the doorway. It's freezing at that table whenever anyone opens the front door. I think we only got our waters refilled once if at all, but we probably could have gotten more if we tried. It also took a while to get the check. We basically had one dish with each type of protein - free range chicken soup with cordyceps flower, steamed flounder with tofu, shredded pork with dry bean curd, and stir fried filet mignon, but also ordered the vegetable medley and "eggplants in hot garlic sauce". The chicken soup feels too overpriced, especially with the server spilling a bunch of it when pouring into the bowls. The shredded pork with dry bean curd and the eggplants in garlic sauce were both my favorite dishes. Their menu is huge, so there's going to be something for everyone. It seems like this restaurant is good for spicy dishes, even though we didn't have any.

As a Chengdu native, I've been coming here since their doors opened 3 years ago. Their Chongqing noodle maintains perfect 'ma la' balance - no shortcuts on the Sichuan peppercorns! The picture menus (especially helpful for elderly parents) make group orders effortless. Only wish they offered more offal options, but that's personal preference.

First meal back in Seattle and Tasty Szechuan hit the spot. The dry pot potatoes are insane--crispy, spicy, and packed with flavor. Perfect with rice.

I owed this restaurant a visit and a review. I'd read they have a good lunch special so we went to try it. The lunch special price was great. Unfortunately, I didn't find the food that good. The hot and sour soup had a good flavor, but little of interest floating in the broth. I ordered Kung pao chicken med spicy. It wasn't very spicy and it was very salty. Soooo salty. It was a reasonably sized portion for lunch. I didn't see anything on my plate but chicken, peanuts, and dried chili pieces. I did enjoy the szechuan pepper tingle in my mouth. My other had the Mongolian chicken. It was a bit smaller serving, but it did include a little onion and green onion in addition to the chicken and whole dried chili. Nothing else. Also very, very salty. The restaurant was about 1/3 full, so others must be liking it, but we would not go back. I asked to talk with the business manger, per his yelp note. But was told he's a busy man.

Great first visit to Tasty Szechuan in Bellevue! Their lunch specials are indeed a fantastic way to experience authentic Szechuan flavors all for a reasonable price.

Great place when you're craving Hainanese Chicken…read more I had the combo chicken rice, which comes with your lighter Hainanese chicken and fried chicken. The Hainanese chicken was so tender and almost pure. It had depth and complemented the chicken fat infused rice. It's a nice balance and you can dip sauce into it if you like more intense flavors. I also liked the fried chicken because it had more texture to a tender dish and I found it nice to go back and forth. We also tried the noodles and it was decent and had a slow burn (spicy) to it but i like the rice dishes the best. The combo chicken was more than enough food for me - I left very full. Ambiance is casual. We arrived on Friday around 6:45pm, and joined a waitlist of 9 for 2 ppl. We waited about 25 minutes for a table. You sit down, order via QR code, and food comes out! Service was decent - nice and friendly and attentive - it's not a place where they'll wait on you regularly but it's also not that kind of setting. Parking is either on the street or in the H Mart complex parking lot. All in all - great eatery

The chicken was steamed beautifully, and the pieces tasted very fresh. The dish came with two kinds of sauces, and both are perfectly delicious. The rice was cooked with chicken fat and juices. It is high in calories, but it's worth it once in a while. My complaints for the place is, I wish they would offer a stir fried vegetable dish. I think veggies choices are lacking a bit on the menu. Also, I noticed their floor were extremely greasy and slippery. They put down black rugs in main walkways , but on the way to the restroom was without and I almost slip and fell. They really need a deep clean to their floor, or someone might fall for real.

The fact that these were also coated in oil was pretty nice. On the inside, I thought the prawns were cooked well - they remained pretty soft and didn't appear overcooked I did feel like the spice was pretty much missing, though. I ordered 4/5 stars, but it tasted more like 1/5 stars as there was a pretty significant lack of spice that took away from a lot of the flavor potential. Speaking of the missing flavor, there should've been a lot more sauce added to this dish - either poured on top of the prawns or the prawns come sitting in it. The benefit of this is that it you can mix everything with the rice - and this sauce coats the rice to make it taste good. The way it's currently presented, the prawns are too large to really eat with the rice, and mixing the two will just result in eating the meat and taking another bite of plain rice because there isn't enough sauce to coat the rice. This dish just ended up being eating the prawns by themselves - the rice wasn't super useful As a result, after finishing I really wasn't that full For the price (around 20 ish) there are a good amount of prawns, but I wouldn't really say you're getting a good deal here
