Double Duo Box (2 Burgers Fries)
    Alina D.

Overall, this place is pretty good. The fries are nicely battered and crispy. The burger was a standard smash burger, but whatever pickles they use are fantastic! The fruity pebbles shake was okay, just a little too icy for my preference. The workers are nice, the theme is fun, and ordering is quick. My only complaint is that it is quite pricey for what you're getting. I'd recommend trying it out at least once if you're a burger fiend, but be prepared to spend a pretty penny.

Discovered a new burger joint today! It's a nice and lovely ambiance as we walked into the establishment. Love the decor and paintings on the wall. We ended up getting a double smash burger with the signature classic sauce, aka secret sauce. The smash burger was alright. The fries batter was great and crispy and the garlic sauce with fries was delicious. Definitely enjoyed this place!

Great smash burgers! I ordered the spicy smash with comes with grilled sliced Jalepenos and Serrano (have an option to add habanero) also their fries are amazingly crispy and delicious. They offer some unique cereal flavored milkshakes, we tried the "Cookie Crisp" style. Service was quick. There's kiosks to order from when you walk in. They also have some beer/cider options. Definitely worth trying this place out!

Ok, so Secret Burger Kitchen is AMAZING! We stumbled upon this hidden gem, and WOW...SO YUMMY! Typical smash burger type thing, but like waaaaay better. The quality makes the flavor of the burger so good. Plus, what really makes Secret Burger so fun is the flavor injector. It's a giant shot of yummy goodness. The fries are perfectly fried and salted too. Service is great. You order off a kiosk, and the super friendly staff brings over your food in like 10 minutes or so. Place is packed and busy. Secret Burger is a keeper for sure!

I got the basic smash burger with fries Meat was seasons super well, I wish the cheese was pre melted and that the onions were cooked into the patty (they were raw instead). Fries seasoned super well, I really liked them! Restaurant was clean, service was kind, he brought my food out really fast, checked in with me to see how o enjoyed it, and told me they have free refills on my pop. Music was great, some drake and OutKast. Parking sucked but I lucked out when someone pulled out right when I was coming out lol. I'll be back!

Underside of my double smash burger. Notice the uneven and charred edges? Yumminess!

My daughter found this place on Yelp when searching for burger places in the area and since we love smash burgers, this was an easy choice. You can order on kiosks up front and there is a man at the counter that can help you as well. We ordered some delicious pear ciders from him after ordering our food on the kiosk. One daughter got the hot honey smash burger, another got the spicy vegan burger and another in our party got the single with bacon and mushrooms. I chose the Double Smashburger. They came with delicious fries that are coated with batter before frying and are my favorite type. So good. They came with a choice of sauces. The burgers had an option for sauces in a syringe for application. This novelty was fun to use (remove the cap before using!). We each loved our burgers as they were cooked wonderfully and had the charred edges. I had grilled onions on mine which helped but they weren't the Oklahoma style where the onions are smashed into the burger but just laid on top. Still pretty good. We loved this food and had great service from the employee at the counter. I will return here one day for more deliciousness.

Amazing burger and the fries were some of the best I've had in a long time. You walk in and order at the kiosk, which will prompt you to leave a tip. One friendly employee did walk my order to my table, but other than that there's really no service to tip for. This is fast food and you're mostly interacting with a computer. Serving the "large" side of sauce in a plastic syringe is an odd idea. Can't imagine who came up with this. They seem to really want to franchise and I think this will have to be reconsidered. Good vessel for sauce, but it's going to rub so many folks the wrong way.

I'll start with 10 star fries. I'd go here just for those! I also like they have a two burger deal and one large fry. The portion size to share was perfect. They had some fun items like the sauces in syringes. We also got a milkshake with cereal sprinkled on the top which made me nostalgic and thought it was fun. The burger patty itself was good, but the lettuce was wilty and brown. The manager came around to check in which was really nice, couple other staff members didn't seem as thrilled to be there. I'm big about bathrooms and the TP dispenser was falling off the wall :/

I love smash burgers so I definitely worked this into the itinerary when I was in town. I definitely recommend looking at the menu online ahead of time if it's your first visit because there are so many delicious options. You can order online, or via the kiosk in the restaurant. They offer a variety of smash burgers, chicken sandwiches, chopped cheese, and burger bowls - with plant-based options for each. They also have chicken wings/tenders, a variety of sauce options, milkshakes, and a few dessert options. On this initial visit my eyes were bigger than my stomach so I ordered the ECP B&W (Burger & Wings) Box w/Fries. This option lets you choose between a classic smash burger or chicken sandwich, 4 wings in your choice of flavor, fries, and a sauce syringe. I got the burger (no lettuce, no tomato, add grilled onion and grilled serranos), hot honey wings, fries, and garlic sauce. I did the ranch syringe and added a side of garlic sauce to try. That syringe is HUGE, it's more than enough. You can't do all drums or all flats for an extra charge, I do wish that was an option. As a pepper lover I appreciate that they offer jalapeño, habanero, and serranos as toppings. I got stuffed 75% into the burger and one wing in haha. My friend ordered the Impossible Attitude Adjusta Jerk Burger and she loved it. I'd love to see burger box options that allow you to choose a secret cravings or signature smash burger option, and I think having plant-based boxes would be cool too.

Changing my 5 star review to a 1 star review due to inefficiency of staff. Ordered online to pick up on my lunch break from work. Arrived to store to pick it up only to find it had been served to a group of drunk kids. The order required a total remake and delayed my pickup by 20 minutes (I get a. 30 min break) The staff did apologize but said "they claimed your food" blaming the drunks-.....if only there were employees to double check these things? Sad to see them declining because I'm a huge fan. Maybe hire employees who care to work and not just hangout with the customers. This has happened to me before and several others. 1 star

I'm sorry, Secret Burger. Truly, I am. I could not keep your secret. I had to tell so many people about you! I was in Seattle visiting family and decided to pick up lunch and wanted a burger. I didn't realize I'd stay and have a burger, chicken wings and a shake! I saw the menu and HAD to sample a bit of everything. Touch screen ordering. If you know what they have, super easy. First time, take your time. Can be a lot to decide what to get. We ordered 2 burgers, the Maharaji wings, some fries, a strawberry dream drip shake and a couple of sodas. Bruh! They were all amazing!! The wings were one of the best I've ever had. Plus, a syringe of dipping sauce definitely made for a memorable experience. The place itself, really clean. Well maintained. The workers cleaned tables during their downtime. Check in with people eating. Make sure everyone is good. Really cool. Got to speak with one of the owners. Had a good conversation about their business. If you come to Hawaii, you'll kill the burger game, no doubt! ...take the hint. A great place for great food! I will be back again. The secret is out!

First off, I have to praise the team at SBK. So helpful and several od them stopped by multiple times to enquire about the food. Never experienced that in a fast food establishment! The restaurant was spotless, including the bathroom and water/cutlery station. Now the food. I've had smashbugers in California but not here, and I don't have a frame of reference when it comes to pounds (I'm a gram and kilos kinda person). So choosing between à 1/3 or 2/3 pound burger stumped me. So I decided to go with the "double double" or thé signature 2/3 burger with sautéed onions and pickles. In a word: delicious! Generous amount of pickles, balanced toppings, fluffy and flavorful bun, and juicy patties, no dried out hockey pucks here! The only complaint would be that the ratio of meat to bun is off. So much of the patty hangs off the bun that you have to nibble around it until you get to the bun. But the burger is very flavorful and extremely juicy (I probably used 4 napkins). Fries are also delish. Hot, crispy, soft interior and a great spice on the exterior. I went at lunch and still wasn't hungry at dinner time. Next time I'll try a single patty. Definitely worth a visit and fairly priced.

The restaurant itself leaves a lot to be desired, but I'm not asking too much. I believe the owner said he was trying to revamp the place. I hope that the area comes alive in the future years, that should help. Here's the issue though, this is the slowest spot ever. I've waited 30 minutes for fries - FRIES. I don't mind waiting for food, but it should remain reasonable. There were only two or three people working, and one man did tell us this, but I need to be honest - this was on Super Bowl Sunday. No one was able to get anyone a beer from the tap for 40 minutes, the food took forever and it appeared that online orders were being prioritized (which makes sense, you make as you get orders coming in, but that puts your in person customers in an odd and sometimes frustrating position). To be honest, I probably wouldn't have minded as much if I just had some fries to snack on. I didn't mind as much this one time because I was just happy to find a place to watch the Super Bowl Half Time show, but other days, it's a little hard to look past. I wish this business the best, I live too close to not hope for its improvement! Looking forward to updating my review. At the end of the day, if you're hungry, it's late, this is your spot.

No Philly cheesesteak. So I asked, "If you didn't have Philly cheesesteak, why didn't you tell me that when I ordered it?" He said, "I don't know, I can put it on the side if you'd like." I said, "I thought you didn't have any Philly cheesesteak?" He walked away, came back with a side of Philly cheesesteak, and told me to put it on the sandwich myself. For $19, I shouldn't have to assemble my own sandwich -- especially after being told you didn't even have the main ingredient. Just be upfront with customers.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. I didn't expect much out of these, but they were surprisingly good. The rice is cooked perfectly, sticky and tender, yet each grain is distinctive and almost bouncy, giving great mouthfeel. The musubi seems to be dipped in a small amount of soy sauce, although not enough to cover the entire rice surface. The additional sodium isn't really needed in the first place due to the salty and meaty kick the spam on top gives the handheld snack. It's a classic combination for a good reason! (4/5) For the Food Walk special, they only give a small scoop of mac salad. I'm sure the normal side portion for $5.94 is much larger. The salad is unspectacular but solid. It's a little sweet, a bit peppery, and certainly very creamy. There's a bit of julienned carrot included that isn't particularly crunchy, being soaked in the mayo sauce. The macaroni itself isn't mushy or overcooked, so it still has some texture. (4/5) I don't usually expect much out of food court restaurants, but Aloha Plates definitely surprised me with their quality. It seems like a solid option for Hawaiian.

Perhaps the Lao Burger served there wasn't as juicy and succulent, with perfectly crisp smashed patties as I recalled? Or perhaps Taurus Ox just serves a completely inferior version. I revisited for a Friday late dinner to reach the bottom of things. This was at around 8PM and the place was surprisingly busy, with a fully running kitchen and almost all seats taken. It's a pretty small restaurant to begin with, but since the food comes fast, people don't typically stay too long. By the time our food arrived, a table had cleared up for us. Lao Burger ($18) - This Lao Burger is just as good as my first visit. Absolutely perfectly fried smash patties, completely with lacy, crispy edges that provide texture and an intense caramelized meaty flavor. I've already described the burger in detail in my previous review - what I can say on this visit is that the burger is basically identical, indicating that Ox Burger is consistent with cook and construction. The burger as a whole has the perfect moisture level with plenty of unique funky, umami-full flavors that make each bite a delight. As with my previous review, two things come to mind that detract just a tiny bit from my full enjoyment. Firstly, the burger as a whole is a bit salty for my tastes, necessitating several trips to refill my cup of water Secondly, the piece of sliced pork belly included is kind of vestigial. It seems to be only there to add additional salt, because neither the flavor nor texture are very apparent while eating. (5/5) Deluxe ($15) - This burger is somehow way messier than the Lao to eat. Upon lifting it up, a mess of watery mustard/mayo mix drips onto the plate. I think it might be from the extra moisture in the tomatoes and lettuce. And yet, somehow the bun isn't soggy at all. This burger is otherwise excellent, combing the same picture perfect smash patties as in the Lao, with the classic fixings - American cheese, bacon, pickles, and plenty of veggie mix. (5/5) I'm glad I gave the Lao Burger another chance. It's now one of my favorite burgers in the city. I'll definitely be coming back to Ox Burger for more. The food was great for all adults involved. Portions of fries are generous and delicious, and come with fancy sauces (none of which appealed to me, but were appreciated by my family). The burgers are really inventive, so we all wanted to try the Lao. It's delicious. I did balk at $18 for just the burger, which is a smash patty (less beef) and I took the cheese, Mayo, and cilantro off. Eighteen dollars! No side, no drink.
