Tava Turkish and Mediterranean Restaurant is next door to Stone Park Cafe & is close to other shops along 5th Ave. Mediterranean hot & cold appetizers, soups, salads, Meat, Seafood & Vegetarian Entrees, pasta, wraps, sides & desserts, as well as various Cocktails, Spirits & Non - Alcoholic options are all available. Tava has indoor & outdoor dining. Having been here multiple times for dinner & also ordering from Tava Turkish and Mediterranean via Ubereats, it is confirmed that they serve quality and delicious dishes. Favorites at Tava include the following: Kofte Kebab Chicken Sautee Grilled Salmon Entree - Absolute Favorite! It comes w/ spinach & mashed potatoes. Their Homemade Turkish Bread, Turkish Tea & Baklava are always great. Tava's Homemade Tahini & White Sauces taste so good on everything. Ezgi provides absolutely lovely customer service. You are always greeted well upon arrival & attentiveness is there from the start to the end of your dining experience. Tava is open everyday from 11am - 10pm. Weekend Brunch Service - 11am - 3:30pm. tavany.com @tavagrill

Mediterranean comfort food in a comfortable setting. The dishes were tasty and the portion size was generous. The SpecialMixed Pida was very good. The cocktails were basic but tasty. The service was attentive.

Great Mediterranean spot for lunch! Big portions, my lamb gyro wrap was enough food for two lunches. They don't skimp on the gyro meat, too. Fries were crispy and seasoned. If you sit down, they give you free bread that's focaccia-like in texture and taste. The oil on the table tasted more like peanut oil than olive oil, though. Outdoor seating is lovely, food took a bit of time to come out on a slow Saturday.

IN THE OF BROOKLYN, what a gem!!! Very convenient location! Welcoming staff!! Food yummm!!! Red lentil soup is a staple. Blend is amazing, spices just right, dried mint leaves is the signature spice. Fried liver cubes, oh my!!! Pair it with some onions, squeeze some lemon, toss it with crushed peppers. I prefer in a wrap, but you can have it by itself. Doner kebab is my favorite but it was sold out! I had Adana kebab, still good. But i want Doner!! Zucchini pancakes, not everyone adds shredded carrots, Tava does, amazing taste. Final crunchy buttery BAKLAVA. I am still dreaming about it.

I and some friends stopped by after a day at the museum for dinner. The restaurant was cozy and so nicely decorated with a wine wall., wooden finishes, and string lights. The staff were very kind and took good care of us. We started of with the mixed appetizer plate/mezze which included hummus, ezme, tabbouleh, babaganush and spinach tartare, all of which were tasted amazing. The main dish was even better. I had the kofte kebab which was the perfect balance of juicy and the perfect amount of seasoning. I was genuinely impressed with the quality and service and Tava. I hope to be back soon.

Not sure if we came here on an off day or what. I was a bit confused since I've read so many wonderful reviews. We were super excited to try this spot. Customer service was great, no complaints there. The vibe was relaxing and I felt comfortable right away. But the food though, we thought it was bland.. I had the falafel platter and I thought it was too dry and lacked flavor, I've definitely had better falafel elsewhere. My friend got the mixed grill which he wasn't very impressed with the taste either. Pretty big portion sizes though. And he said his favorite part was the wine

Friendly service. Literally everyone we interacted with was so down to earth and kind. We were running some errands near by on a Sunday and Literally walked by and stopped in. The decor is nice the space is much larger then it appears viewing from outdoors . They start you off with warm bread it is made in house and you can enjoy it by itself or with oil and balsamic vinegar . I ordered the lamb gyro plate and it was so tender and juicy. My aunt had the beef liver and Shepard salad with the cheese on the side as her main. Those were some of the best liver I've eaten . I have had many of liver because I do enjoy that dish any time I find a Turkish place. We had cocktail with our meals I believe I had a moscow mule it was done well. We told them we will be back.

Cool ambiance.. padded seating+ Food was very good and portions were generous. Service was attentive and good! We did a bottle of the Turkish Rose which was very good. Also the zucchini pancakes which were nicely done. Chicken yogurtula Adana and lamb Kebob Adana meals were tasty and big mains

I make an order through Uber eat so when I received the order I didn't expect that food it was so nasty and smell

Mixed Grill - comes with a side salad!

Did not dine in but got the food to go and it was nicely packed. I ordered the mixed grilled, mix mezze platter, two kebab dishes (can't remember exactly what it was), and an eggplant dish. They were all super delicious. I liked how the mixed platter came with a side salad as well. My parents were visiting and I wanted to impress them with Turkish food and this place did the job! This place was a little pricey but they do give you decent portion sizes.

Beef Shish - tender and flavorful Sultan's Delight - cream was delicious but was a bit salty For the price range and neighborhood, cloth handkerchiefs would be nice. Service was good. Light soft music ethnic Turk

This place serves really good and authentic turkish food. The appetizer sampler is the way to go if you have at least 4 people at the table. I thought the babaganoush was the best. I got the chicken kebabs (boring i know) but everything was delicious. And the portions were large. The arugula salad was yummy and very large too. Lots of help running around which felt nice. I would def order take out from this place.

My husband LOVED the burek, but then they totally changed it and now it's just gone. The food is still delicious, but unpredictable of what we can / will order. The new space is beautiful and open and airy, but sadly the service has dipped. This place used to be almost too fast, we were in and out and we consistently knew we could come here and get out in a very timely manner. But now I literally had to flag down our waitress and I still didn't get her attention, another waitress came over to help us get our check. We also didn't get checked on at all, luckily our food was good and right. The table next to us didn't get greeted for water or anything so they had to flag down the guy delivering food to get a waitress. I thinkkk it may be because the wait staff is servicing here and the location next store but it's really impacted the experience. Totally understand that a lot of places are understaffed, but we've never experienced this before Miriam we love you, but pleaseeeeee stop changing the menu.

It's super cozy inside, and they also give you pillows to sit on. Our server was really friendly and gave us great recommendations. We ordered a few different things to share for our party of two: - Bacon wrapped dates (5/5) so good!!! - Short ribs (5/5) I actually don't usually eat beef but these were so good and not dry. The orzo on the side also balanced it out well. - Kale salad (5/5) This seemed like a simple salad but it was so yummy and dressed well. The pine nuts tasted good with this too! - Vegan fruit sundae (2/5) Sadly this was the only thing that missed the mark. I didn't like the raisins and the almonds didn't really work well with everything but that was just me. The sorbet was also pretty sour. The best thing about this was the white cream on top (it tasted like real cream)

On a Friday evening, my friend and I came in as walk-ins and got a spot at the bar. The space is a bit tight, but it works if you don't make a reservation ahead of time. I was pretty hungry, and everything we ordered was more than enough food. To start, we had the Whipped Ricotta ($14), Muhammara ($14), and Chicken Shawarma Hummus ($18). Absolutely loved every dip, which were all different in its own ways that I can't even choose a favorite. The ricotta was a sweet one that gave a nice contrast from the savory spices of the other two. I liked how much chicken they added for the hummus too, so you're getting almost a whole meal. You'll definitely need extra pita for all this, which does fill you up. We did also get a Radicchio Salad ($19) for some greens plus a Beef Kofta Skewer ($20) for some meat. Both of these dishes were solid, but could pass on them next time. Definitely recommend any of the mezze and hummus here; it's all you need. This is a really great date spot or group dinner. Not my favorite muhamara Ricotta - very creamy and smooth, almost like a sweet cream cheese or creamy condensed milk. There is also an outdoor dining area, as well as a mid-sized dining room and we were seated near the window. Sawa serves Lebanese cuisine with some more modern dishes. Additionally, they have a mostly Lebanese wine list, which gave us an opportunity to try some new wines. We ordered both a red and a white for the table, and I was especially drawn to the red, as the red was served chilled, light-bodied, and very enjoyable. Nearly all of the reds and whites on the menu are from Lebanon, with just one red from Morocco, plus a couple sparkling options from Lebanon as well. We started with several dips for the table: hummus, baba ghannouj, and muhammara. The hummus was incredibly smooth, and the muhammara was especially flavorful with large pieces of walnut throughout. Everyone at the table receives fresh pita, and we ended up ordering a few more to share. We also shared the Brussels sprouts and the snap peas. The Brussels sprouts were rich and flavorful, but the snap peas really stood out. They were unlike anything I have tasted before, intensely mint, served with garlic mint labneh, and very delicious. For mains, we focused on lamb: two orders of the lamb ribs, two orders of the kafta, and two orders of the sfeeha. We probably over-ordered by about one entrée, but otherwise it was the right amount of food for six people. The lamb ribs were phenomenal, fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. The lamb pies were also very good and came with a delicious dipping sauce. The kafta was good, though not quite as memorable as the other lamb dishes, but still very satisfying. Service was attentive throughout the meal, and despite the number of dishes on the table, the staff handled everything smoothly. The table got a little crowded at times, but it was manageable. I would absolutely recommend Sawa, especially for anyone who enjoys trying something a little different. They do classic Lebanese dishes very well, while also offering some creative dishes that feel unique and memorable. I am already looking forward to going back.
