This place isn't half bad, really. We came here because it was within walking distance of the H hotel and we were absolutely starving. I looked, and according to it's website, it just opened up here not long ago. The place isn't huge, but has plenty of two top tables and I think a few four tops as well. There's bar seating as well, and the place is sparsely decorated but in a good way. It can get noisy in here since there isn't a lot of stuff to absorb the sound, FYI. The menu covers most gammets of food, from burgers, to salads and some sandwiches as well. They even have a peanut butter burger? I don't know about that, but it did sound interesting. Anyway, our server was good and our food came out wonderful. The fries here are great, and we both commented on how good they were. My burger was excellent and my coworker loved her sandwich. There's also TV's over the bar that they had different shows on. One had sports, the other had news. I did notice a nice alcohol list, but we didn't order anything to drink. Just what we were looking for... Very good burgers & my wife said the onion rings were great. I had fries and they were very good too. We sat at the bar and had great service. Food was delivered very quickly after ordering (not just for us, but we noticed the guys next to us too). Very clean and nicely lit place. We will happily come back! read more

Had a great experience there. Went Saturday night for the first time, it was pretty busy. Staff was amazing, I have owned restaurants for 34 years and was impressed how well they all worked together. I had the salmon salad and my wife had the chicken avocado melt, both were excellent. read more

Service was great! Went between 4-5pm on Mother's Day. Staff was very considerate. My wife and I had the Salmon salad--delicious! Kids had bacon cheeseburgers. They are usually picky eaters, but enjoyed it. Drink refills came often. First time. Was impressed! read more

I've been here I believe four times, with the most recent being last night, and none have been great. The service is slow and the food is pretty bad for local bar food. I think the best way to describe it is frozen grocery store food that was put in a fryer instead of the oven, which probably describes a lot of places so I'm not sure why the food is average here. One time our pretzels were still frozen, things like that. We waited around 10 minutes for our server to get our drink order, which by that time we also put in our food. I got a draft instead of the bottle I asked for. Our appetizer never came until we asked about it when our server brought our food. My partner's order was correct but my tacos were completely wrong and between the stale tortilla and no sauce, were pretty rough to get down. Our server was great. I don't really blame her for any of the issues, even if some may have been partially her fault. It seems like the place is just drastically understaffed. I counted 3-4 servers for a place that had probably 150 people in it. It's a nice place and pretty large. It has all the potential in the world but I can't say I've had a great experience here after multiple tries. read more

The $17 tavern "grilled" cheese came out with the cheese still cold and unmelted. This is my first time here, I gave them a few months to work the kinks out. Thought I was safe trying a grilled cheese, guess not. Won't be here again soon. read more

Our first visit was last evening. Will definitely go back. We had wraps, sandwiches and wings. Started with fried mozzarella sticks and fried pickles. Everything was fixed to perfection. Maybe a wee loud for easy visiting but otherwise loved it! read more

I was excited that a new independent restaurant opened downtown and have dined here a few times. The space is bright and open with some amateurish painting on the wall but otherwise unremarkable decor. Multiple TV screens usually showing sports. One was tuned into women's MMA/fighting...just the thing I like to see when dining out. /s On one occasion we were seated in the back area by the bathrooms despite there being numerous open tables in the main room. This area reminded me of a church basement and is an unappetizing space to eat in. The service has been generally friendly and good, apart from the server who came to the table 582 times to ask "how does everything taaaaaaaaaste"...."everything still taaaaasting okay?"......"we still doing okay?".....and another who was rather uninformed when asked about certain menu and drink items. As mentioned, I was excited at first about a new restaurant, but ultimately disappointed in their menu. There is nothing unique or compelling about this menu; the same items as practically every other casual dining place in existence. The execution was good, not great, so if you're going to open an eatery and choose to have a nearly identical menu as everywhere else in town, you need to be hitting it out of the park, and that is not the case here. read more

The waitress was sweet and did a great job but this place is extremely overpriced. The food was mediocre at best, and barely had any flavor at all. The music was terrible, and extremely loud... you can barely have a conversation inside. I would recommend a hard pass on Tavern on main. read more

Nasty tasteless food. Ordered a burger, the reason I came as they bragged about the quality of meat, but they had ruined the burger. It was unseasoned and the manager literally said they do not season their meat because of the quality of meat. Unseasoned burger is bland and a simple Google search by the cook (there is no real chef here) would tell you that much. read more
