I took my parents here for a night out with my boyfriend on a Friday night and I made them all new fans for life! We were able to get a table outside on the patio quick and easy. We were also able to bring our dog and we enjoyed sitting outside on such a beautiful night. The service was great and they make you feel like family, they even took great care of the doggo! The food here is the true star of the show and never disappoints. They have the best variety of true Greek and Mediterranean dishes and each one is presented and cooked to delicious perfection. Truly the best Greek food I have ever had. Taverna Kyma was fun, fresh, and yummy! We started with their complimentary homemade hummus and warm pita bread. It was mouthwatering. Followed with fresh bricks of feta and olives, saganaki, lamp chops, grilled calamari, and Greek salads. We were a group of 10 sitting at a long rectangular table in a covered patio area of the restaurant. It was extremely busy- the evening before Easter. Parking was very difficult at the time we arrived, however I found a spot at the next plaza where the lot was empty and behind closed stores. Angela was our waitress who was fabulous. She worked hard with a beautiful smile on her face. We ordered drinks and appetizers to start. We had the Greek salads and zucchini fries, spanakopita, and calamari. All were excellent. Unfortunately I was not impressed with the red sangria. It was not sweet at all and only one slice of orange was in my glass. Afterwards we ordered our main entrees even though we were kind of filled up. Some of us ordered the dorado which is accompanied by rice and or veggies or lemon potatoes. It was flavorful and delicious. I took most of it home. Others ordered the lamb chops and moussaka and grouper. Everything was delicious. To add to this great tasting dinner, the fun didn't stop when the belly dancer made her several appearances through the night. She was terrific especially when the husbands were afraid to put their $ in her belt. At the end, they didn't have any decaf coffee so we didn't indulge in dessert. We were all very full anyway. Very satisfied with our meal and service at Kyma. Enjoyed our drinks and meals. Ordered the octopus to start its was grilled perfectly and in the tastiest vinaigrette. Its a good sized portion (don't go my photo I took it late). The complimentary hummus and pita, was one of the best hummus's I've had, we ordered some to go. FYI It is on the garlicky side though. Our entrees were Pastitsio and the oven roasted lemon chicken. Both excellent and would recommend. It was my first time having pastitsio though so I have nothing else to compare it to. read more

We started with some drinks.. the red sangria was excellent, not too sweet and filled with fruit. I had Athens in Boca, Vodka - just delicious. The hummus which is complimentary is the best in South Florida. We had a greek salad, filled with fresh tomatoes, cucumber and pepper with a nice size chunk of fresh feta, and seasoned just right. We had gyros and kabobs. Perfectly cooked, tender and just delicious. The gyros were served with the perfect amount taziki - a lot! Yummy. We had the custard pastry and baklava for dessert.. well worth the calories. The puff pastry was crispy and the filling and syrup like heaven. We will be back. read more

Floors were dirty and sticky. Our table and chairs were dirty. Menu stuck to table so waiter brought a new one and blamed the sticking on humidity. We ordered an appetizer that took over 1/2 to get. We were seated over an hour before our dinner arrived. My husbands meal came with lemon potatoes and was given fries. Someone else ordered potatoes and was given string beans. We had a great lunch here today. Service was wonderful and the food was excellent. Parking is easy in their lot. We sat inside, but there is a large covered patio area in the back. They give you fresh pita and hummus to munch on while perusing the menu. The hummus is addictive. Save room for your lunch as portions are large. My Greek lemon soup came in a huge bowl. For the price, I'd assumed it would be a cup. Every spoonful had a bit of chicken in it. The base was creamy and quite lemony. There was rice, too, but a limited amount. It needed to be hotter and they immediately made it so. It was so good that I made my husband have a few "tastes". He ordered a Greek salad. It had large fresh cuts of tomatoes, green peppers, onions, and cucumbers under a large wedge of feta cheese. There were black marinated olives mixed in as well. I had a small portion of his salad. We also shared an appetizer of fried smelts. The little crispy fish were perfectly fried and flavorful with just a squeeze of fresh lemon. We dipped them in the tsaziki sauce that came on the side. We were both quite full, but couldn't resist getting their galaktoboureko for dessert. The filo and custard were covered in a cardamon scented honey syrup. It was sweet, but not cloying. They have a lunch menu, full dinner menu, and daily lunch specials. I'd love to come back and try some of their other Greek specialties. Hope it's sooner rather than later. read more

They are a regularly busy restaurant and pretty consistent with the food but there is definitely nights when this is a five-star experience and nights when this is a 3 star experience as far as food execution and also service. So I'm going on a 4 star as an average. Been here about 6 times over the last 2 years. We met our cousin here at the worst time possible because it was a holiday weekend and all of the snow birds were here with all of the kids and family Also I am a handicapped person in a wheelchair so the choice of setting was limited. We sat on the patio with the kids and the relatives taking veryl noisily. We have been to this restaurant during the summer and it was amazing the difference in the atmosphere like night and day. This review is on behalf of my wife, she is Greek. We had made reservations for a party of five about a month ago, for Greek Easter Sunday 4/16/23. The food We ordered was anything but Greek, the Greek salad was nothing more than a handful of bell peppers and two pieces of tomato cut like they would go on a hamburger, cucumbers and a little onions of course with feta no black olives. The grilled calamari they show on yelp appears to be grilled however what we received on our table looked more like it was more like it had been stewed. She ordered some wine it was supposed to be retsina however the color looked odd and when she tried it, it tasted Bad, we had others try it and we all agreed it had spoiled, for our portion of the bill it was $90.00 + definitely not worth it at all in fact he best part of our meal was the free pita & hummus. Wait staff advised that chops were eaten and no accommodation could be offered. Manager refused to approach table when requested. Cost of dining out is too precious to be spent at a restaurant that refuses to discuss, let alone accommodate, a customer. Will not return. My friend who is Greek really liked the food. And my food was just ok. My Daughter felt the same as me. HOWEVER, the service was dismal. When we walked in this kid server gave us a noticeable smirk. We ordered, the food came, it was a little slow. AND this "kid" never came back until it was time to clear the table. No follow up asking how is everything. We were seated outside for our 530 dinner reservation. Very noisy! Just saying ...if you plan to go and have a conversation, just something to consider. I ordered lemon chicken. It's always a great time here. We're Albanian so having an authentic Greek place like this feels close to home. I love coming to the bar for happy hour. They have a great selection of salads, kebabs, and more. When arriving, there is a bunch of parking behind the building. We noticed they now offer extended outdoor seating! So if you are concerned with indoor dining- you now have this option. Happy hour is from 5-7pm. It has both food and drinks. Only at the bar. They closed the outdoor side of the bar and took out the high tops so there is limited seating. I suggest getting there early, it gets extremely busy. The whole restaurant was PACKED by 7pm. Every seat inside and outside was taken. This time I got the shrimp kebab and substituted the fries for lemon potatoes. I LOVE the lemon potatoes. I wish I could get the recipe. I normally don't like garlic fries, but I decided to try theirs. They were so scrumptious! The Gyro is saved for last; because it was stuffed with wholesome goodness! The restaurants look like their outside, Greek style. The menu was exactly what I would suspect. My only problem was that despite Yelp saying that they had gluten free items, nothing in the menu was so marked and the waiter seemed to have no idea what gluten was. Fortunately someone in the kitchen did and I was steered to appropriate choices. The facade inside makes it appear as it you are sitting inside an outdoor cafe in a coastal Greek village. The kitchen is bustling and open, with fresh fish on display. The outdoor seating is covered and spacious. There is also an indoor and outdoor bar. It was a bit crowded for seating inside but honestly it felt right with the European style. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, and also helpful with deciding on menu items or providing advice on what to order. He checked on us a lot to make sure we were having an enjoyable time. The authentic food nearly made me tear up. My grandmother frequently cooked Greek food back in the day, and this reminded me so much of her dishes. Met up with an old coworker for lunch and decided to try something new. Love the ambiance of the place.they brought out hummus and pita for the table and omg was this good! Im not usually too big on hummus but this one was so perfect. I ordered a chicken gyro which was served with salad and fries. Overall the food was pretty good however the fries and chicken were a bit too seasoned for me. One thing i really didnt like was the flies! This was a bit annoying as they kept trying to go on the food of course, but one sure did go into my water cup.
