A week before we left, I contacted Mike to see if he'd be available to do a family photoshoot. He was super responsive, and everything was set up within a couple days. He recommended a time in the afternoon to meet for "golden hour", but we were a bit apprehensive about the time due to our baby's sleep schedule. Mike was very understanding and said we could play it be ear as the day gets closer. The day before, we decided to meet in the morning instead, which Mike graciously accommodated. The photoshoot itself was a very pleasant and seamless experience. Mike was very friendly and made us feel at ease. Newborns are not always the most cooperative, which Mike was very understanding about. We even went over the hour-long time limit of the photoshoot, which he said not to worry about. I also mentioned how I liked some shots he did with another family that I saw on his website, which he was happy to try to recreate with us!

She was incredibly professional, very responsive, and extremely friendly. She also gave great advice regarding optimal backdrops for the photos. The initial unedited pictures were upfront beautiful and the final product was breathtaking. She caught amazing candid pictures throughout the event and did an awesome job directing the group photos (ie imagine posing a large group composed of both elderly grandparents and 4 year-old grandchildren). She was so polite in helping people position themselves for the picture, while also making them feel very comfortable throughout the process. After our wedding, I realized that I had not taken a single photo and was 100% grateful to have Michelle capture our wedding - she did an outstanding job. I cannot fathom how our wedding gallery at the end had such a wide variety of photos, yet she somehow moved seamlessly throughout the event. We couldn't believe the photos in the end. The edits and raws were incredible. The beach shots looked like we were totally alone despite all the other people around. The building that this spot is in looks a little rough, but once you enter Kaeo Studios, it's a vibe! There are many businesses that operate in the same building so parking can be limited until 9pm. Our party was in the Trellis Room and the aesthetic is so cute! It's designed to look like a garden and is very spacious. This room can seat about 20/30 people and there is a separate little room for kids or people who don't want to be in the Karaoke mix hehe. There is no food served as it is BYOB and bring your own food. The service is always efficient and awesome. I am hoping to book my mom's party here this year!
