I had the Roma's Spicy Chicken & Shrimp from Roma's Italian Kitchen in Plano 3 days ago and can't stop thinking about how delicious it was!!! I asked our server for a recommendation as I had never eaten at Roma's and was delighted with with the dish! Sooo good!! I really enjoyed dipping the bread rolls in the extra sauce. Fast, friendly service Good food Reasonable prices Clean restaurant The garlic rolls came out before our pizza and they were hot and soft. The sweet chili chicken and bacon pizza was hot, toppings were generous, and the crust was crisp. I also asked for a side of marinara and it was very good. I will definitely try a pasta dish next time. The restaurant was clean but what really stood out to me was how clean the restroom was. I appreciate this! We walked in at 1pm on a Friday and there was only 2 tables of people. We were seated immediately. I was a little confused as there is no hostess stand that I saw anywhere. The place is cute. Quaint. Very clean. We ordered the manicotti and it was missing something. Seems like the ricotta cheese maybe. Kinda bland too. Not a lot of flavor. We also ordered a jimmys pizza I think it was called. The pizza is pretty good. I liked it better than the manicotti. The bread they bring out is pretty basic too. This place is pretty far from my home so I won't be making any special trips to come out here. read more

My son and I went there for lunch. The place was not busy, so we got seated right away. The service was fast and very friendly. The waiter came to check on us a few times to make sure we got taken care of. I ordered bruschetta for appetizers, the bread was buttery , crunchy on the edges and soft in the middle. My son and I liked it , but I think it would be even better if they cut back a bit on balsamic. My son ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce which he loved and he cleaned his plate. I got the fettuccine carbonara with mushrooms. It's tasted good and I can definitely taste the mushroom in the sauce , however I prefer the traditional carbonara sauce. My son started eating the strawberry cheesecake before I could take a picture of it! The place was not noisy so it's a good place for conversation. read more

Pleasantly surprised that this place is actually Romanian Italian! Yazzzz we were stoked to find that out when we arrived. We came for lunch on a Sat and we're seated right away. We got a window seat and this place is very well lit. We were hungry and ordered right away: personal margharita pizza, caprese salad, and Romanian sausage. Man, the Romanian sausage was on point! Really flavorful and comes with two sides. This was perfect if you have someone who doesn't eat carbs! The sausage was cooked to perfect and had a nice bite to it and seasoned well. The pizza comes out on an elevated tray and had fresh ingredients on top. The crust was crunchy, good balance of cheese and sauce. I loved the caprese salad, it was fresh and had thick slices of cheese drizzled with olive oil and huge chunks of salt. I'm not a salt person so I wasn't crazy about biting into gritty pieces of salt but my LO likes salt and loved that. What made our experience was the little bread rolls that came out while we were waiting for our entrees. Scrumptious little pieces of heaven. For that alone, I will be back here to eat. Last evening 10/31 on Roma's Italian Kitchen website I ordered a small pizza and eggplant parm with spaghetti. Perhaps it was my fault to not recognize that I was ordering through a third party "SliceLife". The order was to be delivered at 5:00pm but at 5:15pm the restaurant called me to say that the driver for whatever service did not come by to pick up the food. So my food sat for near 45 minutes before I arrived to pick it up myself at 5:30pm. Obviously I was not happy. No one offered a resolution for the inconvenience. I asked for a refund of the service fees and tip I paid and the restaurant refused saying I ordered through a third party to contact Slice. Adding salt to the wound an Uber driver sent me a text at 7:00pm complaining that I picked up my own food and he wasted his time and money. Terrible Customer Service all around. And food that's been sitting for 45 minutes plus is just MEH when finally getting to eat. read more

Dropped by on a whim and we really enjoyed it! We got the stuffed cabbage, lasagna and chicken schnitzel and it was all great! The owner, Lucian, was friendly and welcoming - and his wife was a fantastic cook. It's a cliche, but we really felt like we were eating from someone's kitchen instead of a restaurant down the street. Definitely recommended, we'll be back (support local!). read more

WHY IS THIS PLACE NOT THE BUSIEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN PLANO?? We have lived in Plano for 15 years, and been to all of the restaurants around. We tried this place tonight and it ABSOLUTELY will now be on our list of regular places to visit! Come give this place a try, and you will not be disappointed! "Nothing brings people together like good food." When I think about Romania the only thing that comes to mind is Dracula! Sadly, no Dracula at this location - but I promise you will not be disappointed if you stop by. Roma's Italian Kitchen was an extraordinary experience for our tastebuds. Romania with a touch of Italy? Sign me up! We started our evening with Salată de Vinete (Eggplant Salad) and Calamari. Both were fantastic, but we loved the eggplant salad as it was refreshing on a warm evening. The smoky tangy flavor paired with sliced tomatoes and bread had our stomachs craving for more. For the main dishes we ordered Mititei (a type of Romanian grilled meat roll or skinless sausage made with a mixture of beef, lamb, pork, garlic, and spices), Carbonara Tradizionali and Spicy Shrimp Alfredo. All 3 dishes were fantastic, and we truly had no complaints other than we wish our stomachs were bigger to take in more food. They also have a great selection of wines, beers, and desserts to satisfy all your cravings. We also had the pleasure of enjoying the evening with the owner, Lucian, who was kind enough to stick around and chat for a bit while we finished up our evening. You can feel the sense of pride and enjoyment he has created at Roma's and we can't wait to return. Friday night's "what should we do for take out" convo started with us wanting something different, avoid our go-to's. Came upon Romas on Yelp... Romanian food = different! We ordered over the phone from the same woman who owns the place and is their cook (love places like this!!). She helped with some questions, we landed on an app, two entrees and a pair of desserts. Meatball app is a Romanian dish - served with mustard and little rolls. Meat had maybe a dill hint? Pretty good, different. The lasagna was alright- very smooth, almost creamy and felt decadent on the tongue. The noodles were very soft and lost - I prefer them a bit firm or somewhat al dente. Also not saucey like the lasagna I'm used to - this might be the Romanian influence. it was so rich and creamy it could use an acid like a tomato based sauce to cut it. The cabbage rolls were a really nice change of pace... the filling was similar to the rice mix in a dolma. I'm not the biggest cabbage fan but you can't even pick up a cabbage flavor, serves more as a casing. Now the desserts were a home run. Like light a cigarette after cuz it was so good! The tiramisu wasn't your typical... less firm, more of a cream. But ohhh what an absolutely indulgent, silky wonderfully flavored cream! And the liquor soaked fingers = everything! We also had I believe their Amandine cake described as a "forest cake with chocolate cream, covered in chocolate ". It has very finely diced nuts. Tasty, rich and a good size serving. While placing our order, the lovely owner recommended a special marshmallow dessert. I absolutely cringe at the mention of marshmallow as I think of the Uber sugary junk you put on s'mores. When we picked up our order, she threw in a piece of this marshmallow thing and said she thought we might really dig it. And dang did we. If I had eaten it without knowing what it was called, I never would have guessed "marshmallow ". This delicate, beautiful concoction was similar to a meringue topped with a beautiful crème and a bit of strawberry. This was another dish that provided an amazing textural experience and great mouth feel. The owner was not only super helpful but sweet, kind and grateful Will definitely return to try other items on the menu. I give our entrees 3 stars (hey, tried something different), the desserts 5 and the fantastic service & hospitality 5+ stars. read more

The stuffed mushroom was amazing. The clam linguini wasn't to my liking and I was okay just not eating it, but waitress offered another dish. I said it was okay since I was very happy with the stuffed mushroom appetizer. She then offered to get me that dish so I agreed. That was very nice of her.
