TC Urban Couture was, without question, the most unprofessional and distressing vendor I encountered throughout my entire wedding planning process. What should have been an exciting and joyful moment -- receiving my custom green lehenga for my sangeet -- turned into an exhausting and deeply upsetting ordeal. At the recommendation of our wedding planner, I was excited about this outfit and was looking forward to working with Toral. However, the blouse I received was a completely different shade of green from what I put in an order for - Toral had that outfit in her store already, so it seems hard to mess up. After several frustrating back-and-forths, it was eventually corrected to be closer to what I bought, but the real nightmare began with the skirt. When I arrived to pick up what was supposed to be a brand new outfit, I noticed a hole in the skirt -- a brand new skirt that I had never even taken home. Instead of taking responsibility, Toral accused me in front of mother-in-law of damaging it myself in front of her. I started to cry - why would I sabotage my own wedding outfit? The audacity and disrespect in that moment were beyond appalling. Despite this, she said she would repair it. But when I returned again to pick it up, I found yet another hole in the skirt. At that point, I took a photo as evidence and left empty-handed, heartbroken. The fabric (organza) was clearly damaged and looked worn -- as if it had been reused from a previous client. It was not the brand-new, pristine garment I paid for. I was willing to work with her by either getting my deposit back, using the deposit towards another outfit, or having her remake it (if I got it after the wedding, I would have been open to that). Instead of working with me on a viable solution, her only offer was to "fix it" by sewing now the SECOND hole. If there are two holes in a brand new outfit that should suffice enough to just make a new one at that point. The final insult? I lost $1,325 in deposit (yes, it was contractually non-refundable) and never received a wearable outfit. Toral's dismissiveness, her refusal to take accountability, and her blatant dishonesty make her one of the most untrustworthy individuals I've ever encountered in the bridal industry. Weddings are emotional enough -- no bride should ever have to deal with this kind of stress, disrespect, or deceit. I genuinely hope no future bride goes through what I did. Please, save yourself the heartbreak and go elsewhere. read more

Toral really understood the vision and color palette, and she made it so easy to coordinate the groom's look with the bridal lengha. I had a very specific idea of what I wanted mine and my husband's outfits to look like for our sangeet and Toral was open to and excited about our design from the start. She even took into account the type of event we were having and made sure my dress was not too long or heavy so I could comfortably dance in it. And then once the outfits were being made, she made sure to send us progress videos and pictures. She sent me photos of the outfit during each step of the process for my input and to ensure that I was happy with how it was progressing. If there was a component I didnt like, she made sure that it was changed exactly to what I wanted. I honestly cannot recommend TC Urban Couture (owned by Toral) enough. We had my sangeet and reception lehengas, and my fiancé's dupatta customized by her, and we purchased his reception sherwani from her off the rack. We also purchased a few other outfits from her (non-bridal) for my sisters-in-law as well as my sangeet and reception jewelry sets (necklace & earrings). Toral made purchasing our wedding clothes one of the smoothest and easiest parts of our wedding planning. For the customized pieces, I brought her some inspiration pictures and we discussed thread colors, elements that I liked/disliked, and what I envisioned in detail, as well as our budget (which she was able to work with). For my fiancé, we wanted to tie in elements of my lehenga with his sherwani dupatta. Throughout the process of making the outfits, Toral communicated with us and we were able to finalize the colors and patterns again and really made it stress-free. Our final outfits were so gorgeous and even better than what we imagined that we both did not want to take them off at the end of the night. She made our outfits for our wedding in September 2022, and we were thrilled with the outcome. The entire process was great - she worked from start to finish to design things from the top down. When we had some sizing issues with my outfit (due to me not being able to make it down for an custom measurement in the early stages of the process), she helped to make multiple alterations in the week leading up to our wedding (and even drove my sherwani across town to our home!) to make sure things fit correctly. We looked at a lot of options - and with me being particularly frugal, had considered ordering outfits online to save some money. But in the end, I think it was 100% worth it to work with Toral - she is so incredibly kind that it also feels very much worth it to support someone who is clearly incredibly committed to building an amazing company and incredibly talented.
