iPhone 13 Mini had poor connection with charger. Sales rep looked at phone port with flashlight, frowned, and said I needed a new phone. Went home and, with light from the window and a toothpick, cleared the phone port of a rather sizable ball of lint. No more charging issues. It's sad, though, that had it been someone else with same problem (say, an elderly person), they'd have gotten conned into buying a new phone. I hate people. read more

Cameron, an employee at Brattleboro's Verizon Authorized Retailer, TCC, checked out my Apple IPad with elegant simplicity at the store, found no serious issues with it, and answered my questions and gave me information I needed to set up a usage review. I didn't have to wait very long for service. When my problem reappeared in my own home I was able to call him at the store and he suggested resetting my home WiFi and Presto! Everything was OK. I'm not great at knowing how to troubleshoot this technology so It felt very good to be able to find a very knowledgeable and courteous employee to interact with. The reps Did NOT have masks on when we entered the "Verizon" store in Brattleboro VT. We had to interrupt both reps looking down on their cell phones. They would not answer Any questions regarding Verizon prepaid phone UNLESS we paid them 30$. Super disappointed with their attitudes and service. As a Long time Verizon customer trying to encourage a new phone user to "Go Verizon" , I returned the prepaid phone replaced it with Straight Talk... And I am planning to cancel my OWN phone service with this company... Grade? D- (1 point for showing up for work dressed) Hint: a little friendliness goes a Long way... sometimes it's not ALL ABOUT MONEY. Verizon lost two (or more now ) potential long time clients because of customer service. I got the impression that two drops don't really matter to them in the BIG Bucket. The Brattleboro Verizon Authorized Retailer store is an archetype for what stellar customer service should be. Every single time I have to go there or need something the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and wonderful to interact with. They go above-and-beyond to be helpful and take care of their customers. Despite the fact that they now have an official looking Verizon sign, this is NOT a Verizon corporate store. They are a franchise that is authorized to sell Verizon products. Now, that's all fine and good, but they cannot do everything a corporate store can do, and if you need a SIM card, lookout, because they'll charge you $25, versus getting it free at any corporate store (if you're an existing customer). This place is fine for most things, but I don't think it's right that the signage no longer says "a Verizon authorized retailer" because that's what they are. They people here are nice and do their best to help, but they are not trained like what you'd find at a corporate store. It is better than nothing, though. read more
