Our waitress was great and super sweet. There were 6 of us, mostly burgers were ordered. I personally thought the fries were odd tasting (like a bbq smoked seasoning?) The burger was pretty good although I didn't think it was anything to rave about. I ordered a side of mac n cheese also, but wasn't impressed with that either (it had garlic seasoning in it). I am from out of state and stopped here with my family, I don't think I'll go back though. Friendly staff though! I especially like the potato soup loaded and maybe the best onion rings ever. My wife wasn't fond of the spaghetti on pasta night but everything else is top shelf. This is an awesome local favorite that is tucked away from the main stream of traffic. Use your GPS to help you find it......I am sure that you will be happy you did! It is located in an old filling station, and decorated with lots of nostalgic & unique items from 'the good ole days'! Which we are all wishing for especially this year! My husband says that their burgers are wonderful - although, since I am vegetarian, I couldn't tell you. So, you will have to take his word on that. I am hoping that they add an Impossible Burger (or something similar) Hint Hint!! I actually make a trip out there just for their deep fried pickle spears!!! Healthy you want? Do not go here. It's fries this fried that. Now grant you I had the patty melt and it way good but greasy. Cole slaw lacked something...oh yeah! Flavor!! I mean I ate it I was hungry but it's not a place I would have to go to everyday. Husband said the fries had no flavor until you put ketchup on them. Service way very friendly and on point. All employees were very nice. Their storage for kitchen supplies takes a wall in the dining room. I don't think their air conditioner was working which didn't make for a comfortable meal. TC's Grill is a diner located in a once-abandoned gas station. Inside you'll find black and white checkered tables and pictures of cars plastered all over the walls. To start we got the fried pickle chips which were amazing! If I ever come back it'll be solely for those. They were perfectly fried and not mushy at all. We also went with the All-day breakfast platter and Patty Melt. The Patty Melt was lacking in flavor and the breakfast platter was just okay, nothing I couldn't have made at home. All in all just a mediocre diner. However, prices are cheap and the staff are friendly. read more

Out of town on vacation to visit the smokies. Looks very appealing from the outside and caught the attention of my husband so we had to try it. Nothing original. You get rolls and pre-packaged honey butter to start with. Everyone was very friendly (extra attention for our 10 month old)! He got the patty melt and fries and I ordered the chicken tenders, coleslaw, and mac n cheese. He was happy and said the fries were good. I tried them and looks were deceiving, but to each their own. The tenders with honey mustard hit the spot and were moist and crispy. The mac n cheese was good so I'm sure the entree of it they have would have been great too! The coleslaw was not good at all. Shredded to tiny confetti and has no taste; did not eat it but our baby ate plenty of it. Lol. Unique place to stop and try. read more

Found this place while traveling a back road & stopped in the next day for breakfast. Great choice! Seems to be family owned & operated. Service was excellent! From the hostess seating us to our server to the cashier - everyone was super friendly and nice. The food was good. Nothing spectacular, but still a solid place for breakfast. Eggs were cooked right, very good biscuits, homemade apple butter, and large portions with decent prices. The gravy was a little bland, but still tasty. I'll have to go back next time I'm in town and check them out for lunch. read more

Yes, they have a somewhat limited menu, they are a family style diner. However, everything on the menu is pretty darn tasty, with generous portion sizes for the price! If you're looking to be spoiled for choice, this isn't that. If you are looking for American comfort foods, such as burgers, sandwiches, chicken n' dumplings or an amazing chocolate shake? I'd definitely give T.C's a go! The waitstaff is always friendly & welcoming, but yes, busy. Still, everything makes it to the table, the way we order it, so.. all good! **UPDATE AS OF 9/14/16** I understand they are under new ownership. They are renovating a bit, trying new things (like tonight's all-you-can-eat spaghetti with plenty of garlic bread & salad for $7.99!!), and looking to expand their menu soon. This place is so yummy. Being a transplant from upstate New York their tenders remind me of a perfect mix between Tully's tenders and Cracker Barrel Sunday chicken. All their dipping sauces/dressings are homemade. The hamburger steak is incredibly flavorful and hand cut fries. Mac and cheese was also very good. Haven't tried any of the other items but everything coming out of the kitchen looked really good too. We also did takeout one night hoping it would still be just as good and it was. Want a good burger? Well look no further than TC's!! Every time we've been it's been the same. Juicy, cooked to perfection, tasty burger. Fries are also good with the seasoning they use. While I can't say too much about their onion rings, others liked them but I thought they were a little on the greasy side. Of course that isn't going to hinder me from eating the burgers! Deserts, forget it! You'll be so full on the burgers that you won't want anything else. BUT.... Just incase you do, their cakes are also delicious along with their old fashioned malts and milk shakes. If you're in the area for breakfast, make sure you stop by. Changed to one star from 2 after husband and I both have food poisoning from this meal!! Burgers are great. No argument. But the fries suck (they are a great cut but seasonings are non existent) and the service is kind of horrible. The food was subpar and the manager openly scolded and embarrassed our waitress. It wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best in any way. I left a big tip for the poor girl that had to serve us. She took our order properly but the kitchen screwed it up yet the management took it out on her in front of us. One of the worst experiences we've ever had. Waitress was pleasant but it took forever to get our food. Food was less than desirable especially for the price of our bill. My son and niece ordered the catfish and got food poisoning which required a hospital visit the next afternoon and diagnosed by them. TC's Grill has an awesome diner atmosphere - checkered floor and old gas station signs on the wall. The service was fantastic! My biggest disappointment in the place is that there's simply not a ton on the menu - you have your choice between steak, burger, chicken or salad in some variation. I got the sirloin and a baked potato. The sirloin was cooked just to my liking, but it was so over seasoned I struggled to eat it. I had to scrape off the pound of pepper seared to the outside of the steak, which made it difficult to eat. The baked potato, however, was pretty tasty. I was also supposed to get a side salad with it; I didn't realize it until I glanced at a menu upon leaving, but I never got it. All in all, if you're craving a burger or chicken sandwich and fries, this is probably a great place to come. But if you want anything outside of that, you're better served going somewhere else. A club sandwich and six ounce sirloin with sodas was about $30. read more
