Can't discuss the pizza but I'll discuss the customer service. Called in an order at 6:12 according to the receipt. Was told 30 minutes by the person who took the order. Showed up around 6:40 expecting a small wait. Was told my order wasn't ready. I ask some around 6:45 how long my wait is and they say 5 minutes as I see a pizza that is half meat lover half te amo sitting around. 6:54 pizza is still sitting as I'm waiting for the wings. Why would I want a pizza that's been sitting around for 30 minutes plus another 15 min to drive home. Maritza, who said she was the manager, told me that it's always more than 30 minutes because it's the weekend. Well why tell someone it'd be ready in 30. She then told me it hadn't been 30 minutes. So when I said let's look at the receipts and it said I placed the order at 6:12 it was now 6:54 and I still didn't have my order if it was more or less than 30 minutes. She replied with it hadn't been 30 minutes. I asked where my pizza was she said that wasn't my pizza that had been sitting around. So what was I wasting for? The wings to come out. The service is amazing 10/10 staff is patient and gives awesome recommendations for first timers. What an amazing local pizza joint. Picked up a bunch of pizza, fries, and calzones for lunch at work today. I only had the meat lovers pizza, so my review is based on that. Pizza crust was nice and chewy, not too much to make your jaw tired but not too little that it just falls apart. Generous amount of toppings, and just the perfect amount of sauce. Price is a bit higher than your National chains, but that's to be expected when you are visiting and supporting locally owned businesses, especially those in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas. Came here to pick up two large specialty pizzas for Superbowl Sunday. I tried the Al Pastor and Elote Pizza which were both spectacular. Super easy to place orders with them along with the box has nice Te Amo Heart Logo on it. The bread although thick visually is light and fluffy. Each bite of the pizza has a good amount of cheese to balance the airy crust. I found both versions of the pizza translated very well from their authentic street food counterparts. The Al Pastor had delicious bits of pork, corn, and cilantro just like you would find on the street food. The Elote had a nice rich creaminess to it from the sweet corn and love the sweet sauce on top. Highly recommended as this is the only place I know in LA that serves such unique pizzas! read more

It seems like a family business, and I felt comfortable talking to the cashier long after I paid. She informed me that since I was a new customer, I get free chocolate chip cookies which is incredible because I'm a cookie CONNOISSEUR lol. The cookies were definitely homemade, but I prefer softer cookies with a crisp edge. These were bigger cookies and not flat at all. I wouldn't get the cookies again, but I'm definitely going to try The different sweets. I got the Te Amo Mucho pizza and I felt the love in every bite. I was in the area visiting a client and a recommendation for the Al Pastor Pizza was lobbed. What? They actually have that kind of pizza? I ordered one for lunch, with thoughts of taking the rest home for the family when my work day was completed. Well let me tell you, I was impressed. Besides Pastor, they spread a liberal amount of onions, cilantro and pineapple chunks throughout. DELISH!! It was basically a marriage between Italy and those taco joints across the border. A co-worker of mine got a recommendation for this place so he went to check it out and brought us back pizza for the office. He bought the pepperoni & the Al pastor cuhs that's what they're famous for. Immediately after looking at the Al pastor, I grabbed a slice seeing that there were pineapples on there sold me already. There is a bunch of goodness on that pizza and it just smells amazing. I smelt it walking down the stairs thinking "Is someone having pasta? Pizza?" since there was a strong smell of tomato sauce in the air. It comes with salsa on the side. I've never had a pizza or seen anyone put salsa on a pizza but omg, it was a game changer. The salsa had a spice kick to it and it just gave it the perfect Al Pastor finish. All the spices were perfect and I loved that there wasn't too much of anything. All toppings were provided in a generous but decent amount. Just typing this review makes me want another slice but the whole box was gone in seconds!
