Best Chinese food in NH. Order shrimp pancakes as soon as you are seated as they take about 15 minutes to prepare and are yum! We like Two Side Pan Fried Noodles (a complete meal in itself, with chicken, pork, and shrimp plus wok-toasted chinese noodles and tons of veggies), Ginger Chicken, and Black Pepper Platter, which is cooked tableside on a super hot black skillet serving dish. Add a Pineapple Passion and I am in heaven. The parking lot is tiny and, well, "rugged" but you can park on the opposite side of the street quite easily. Been eating here for 20+ yrs and it us consistently good... Got to add an A+ from my daughter who says their Sesame Chicken is the best she's ever tasted and she lives in San Francisco! read more

Tea Garden now has an upstairs bar area. Holy wow. And a deck bar area. Wowsers. Food is actually really good. Real meat items, actual shredded chicken breast in chicken items. Peking Ravioli, unheard of on the west coast remind me of home, and really fat pants. read more

Probably the best Chinese Food in Concord. I would rate it slightly ahead of Sunshine Oriental. My son loves the pork lo-mein and I fully agree. Family and friends that I go here with are usually very satisfied. read more

Great place to eat lunch, very reasonable and delicious lunch specials. Went for dinner one time and it seemed all the action was at the bar and the dining room was neglected. It seemed like a decent bar upstairs, but not my scene. The building is older and the parking lot is terrible. read more

Not much to say other than this is the best Chinese food we've eaten in NH since moving from Southern California. Yes, we were surrounded by the best Chinese food in the US for years, and just cry now when we think about the hundreds, thousands of authentic eateries dotting the landscape there, yet we can't find ONE FU**ING DECENT CHINESE restaurant in NH. Well, other than Tea Garden -- not really authentic, but not bad for what it is. Get the Sichuan Pork -- my wife, originally from Beijing, tells me it's pretty decent. A little nervous when we got to the Tea Garden and the only customer was a 65 + man with a beer at the bar. We sat out on the patio and ordered a two person Scorpion Bowl: GREAT choice and we ended up ordering another one! Ordered spring rolls, ginger chicken, and spicy/hot shrimp. All was typical Chinese food with large portions. Service was very good and a large, lively group did show up and said they frequented the Tea Garden at least once a week. We used to come here all the time! Food used to always be on point. The last three times that we have eaten here the food has been awful. It has been really greasy and just not the same taste that it used to be. Maybe they changed yandsnor have new people cooking but will not go back again. read more

Stumbled upon this place. The BEST sweet and sour soup I have ever had. I highly recommend it. I stopped back by here the next time I drove through Concord just to get a big to-go container of this soup. Their other stuff is decent and pretty typical of East coast Chinese food but nothing surprisingly delicious like the soup. read more

We've been there to night, and I would never ever go there again! The food was disgusting. My mum couldn't eat her duck without beeing afraid to loose a tooth, because it was full of bones. The chicken lo mein wasn't eatable either. It tasted really greasy and the meet tasted old, the same with the sweet and sour chicken. We are really disappointed! There are so much better chineese restaurants in Germany. I am really sad, that we chose this restaurant for our last vacation day :( :( read more

I was excited to try this restaurant because it is one of the few around that doesn't use msg. I ordered an order of spring rolls, sweet and sour shrimp, and shrimp fried rice to go. When I got home and opened the shrimp, there were only six medium sized shrimp inside along with a few dried out looking pieces of fruit. For $9.95 that seems a bit ridiculous. The container it came in was only half full. To top it off, both the shrimp and the spring rolls were excessively greasy to the point where grease was dripping down my fingers when I was eating one of the shrimp. The only reason I gave this restaurant two stars is the giant portion of fried rice that I received that was actually pretty good, but still somewhat greasy. read more

Tea Garden is the best! I have been eating here my entire life and I have yet to find any other Chinese food that is as consistently delicious as Tea Garden! They have a big selection of different entrees and they are all yummy! Our favorites: beef lo mein, beef terriyaki, crab rangoons, chicken fingers, beef and pea pods The staff are friendly and helpful, food comes out fast and the portions are just right to share! The parking lot is small, but if it's full, you can always park across the street in the bank parking lot. If you're in Concord and looking for great Chinese food, try Tea Garden, you will not be disappointed!!! read more

Service was slow and not attentive. Sat at the bar and waited to order a draft beer. After ordering she helped someone else then poured my drink which was from the draft right in front of me and my wife. I asked to place a food order she "ok one second" she never returned for it. We've had good meals here in the past; but our last couple of visits were incredibly disappointing. At our last visit, not one dish was decent. The fried rice had more egg than meat. The egg foo young had egg shell in it; and not just a little. The boneless spareribs were full of gristle and the chicken fingers weren't fully cooked - raw doughy-batter around minuscule pieces of chicken. With several other Chinese restaurants in Concord, you would think they would keep up with the quality. I won't be returning here again. Szechuan Garden, Beijing & Tokyo & Hong Kong Island all have excellent food so they will get my weekly Chinese food fix. read more

This is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Concord NH. The food is fresh and delicious, and comes with free oolong tea. They also have healthy diet dishes, which are delicious (especially the "Chicken with pea pods and mushrooms"). The only downside is that the menu is fairly limited in variety, but the service is excellent. read more

Great place for lunch. Parking is tough as their lot has a narrow entrance and is small but the food and service are very good. I worked in downtown crossing for years and was a frequent diner in Boston's Chinatown (so am no stranger to authentic Chinese cooking) and while this place doesn't have an extensive menu selection what they do they do well. read more

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants. The restaurant's appearance isn't the greatest inside and out, but the Prices are reasonable and the portions are good sized. The smell of the food cooking is intoxicating when outside. I used to live about 10 min away and have moved further away but I still find myself driving 30-35 min to get their food, passing about 6 other restaurants on the way. The parking lot is small out back especially with larger vehicles so I would suggest to park on the street or across the street. read more

Don't let the outside appearance turn you off, foodwise it's one of the better Chinese places in NH . We stopped here passing thru Concord on Easter. The place was nearly empty, and the outside and inside decor were nothing special. My wife was considering leaving. Glad we didn't! The food was exceptional. The menu states that they can modify ingredients in your order to your taste, so we split a chicken with broccoli and asked for ginger sauce and spicy. It was perfect, and more than enough for two. My hot and sour soup was above and beyond any I've had at other places. The waitress was very friendly, and the food came fairly quickly. By the time we left, the place was starting to fill up with locals eating and congregating by the bar. read more

My family and I have been dining at Tea Garden for a few years now. I found this place through the recommendation of a friend, who is also Chinese. We like many of their dishes. The Hot and Sour Soup is particularly addictive. The price is very reasonable. And the owners and the waiting staff are all very friendly. The food here is average. It's not terrible but nothing wonderful either. We usually get the sesame crispy chicken or the general's chicken along with sweet and sour chicken, crab Rangoon and veggie friend rice. The pieces we had in the sesame chicken last night were so small it was like eating only crispy breading and no chicken. I have to say with many other Chinese food options in town we will choose a different restaurant next time we order Chinese. The person who takes the orders has continually been rude each time we have ordered. They will NOT honor special requests regarding their food. Twice we have requested peanuts to be added to our veggie-fried rice. I like the crunch and flavor it adds to the rice and usually have that as my main meal. The first time we requested this, the person taking the order told us to go to CVS and buy a can of peanuts because they don't put peanuts in fried rice. The second time we requested the peanuts, months later hoping we would get someone else who was willing to make the effort, she told us that they were too busy and they couldn't put peanuts in the fried rice. We have lived many places and have ordered Chinese from many restaurants in at least 8 different states in the US and have never had anyone refuse this request. It's really not worth it for us to continue to give our business to the Tea Garden when they are so disagreeable and their food is just so-so. read more
