Yummy drinks here at Tea Maison! This is my first time going here even though I go to the plaza pretty often for food and to browse around shops. Every time I am shopping, this place gets packed quick! Came here on a week day and no wait so I decided to finally try it out to satisfy my boba cravings and wow was I amazed. The workers there are friendly and gave me some local fan favorites. They recommended the Tiger milk tea, mango with sago, and the brûlée matcha. I got the brûlée matcha slush with honey boba and it was good! Plenty of sweetness for my sweet tooth and the matcha was blended just right. With the brûlée it worked well together. I tried the Strawberry Matcha Latte (this was my drink at another boba tea shop in New York. Really surprised that we didn't like this place because of all the great reviews. But the boba was firm and the tea was a bit bitter and while the cup is cute - they need longer straws...we had a few sips and then for the rest of the drink we didn't get boba because the straw doesn't reach the bottom... the straws are too short and/or the cup is too tall. It was pretty ridiculous to have boba and not get any boba for the majority of the drink...til the end when you just take the entire top off so you can get the rest of the boba. Getting longer straws would solve this problem. By far my favorite boba tea place I've visited in any state. I love the option of oatmilk as a non-dairy substitute instead of your typical non-dairy milk which always has milk powder. We got the Hokkaido and Taro boba with oat milk. So freaking delicious!!! I love the Taro boba. So smooth, just the right amount of sweetness and overall packs a lot of flavor. Lots of their milk teas can be made with oatmilk so you can still have all your favorite milk teas without the dairy. Some slushy options can also be made vegan. The cup container is also the best I've seen from a boba place. It makes you want to keep the cup! The space is fairly small with no seating inside. You may have to wait in line outside since the space is so tiny. Word of advice would be to either come right when they open around 11am-12pm to avoid lines and trying to find a parking spot. The parking is nuts here and you'll be looking for a while to get one after 5:00pm. I find that between 7-10pm is the most packed and you may be waiting an hour to get some boba. read more

This was probably one of the better tea places that I've had on this trip! I had the white peach tea and the peach flavor was definitely hitting the spot! The fragrant aroma was just emanating from the drink itself and I felt like I was taken to a peach orchard. The tea itself was very refreshing and the flavors meshed really well. Ive been a big fan of Tea Maison for a while. Not because of its location -- because its smack dab in the middle of Shanghai Plaza. Not because of their store -- because they provide NO indoor seating whatsoever. Not because of their prices -- because from a regular to XL size (which id really just a large anywhere else) is $2.25 upcharge. I guess the only reason why I fell into their trap is because of their Mango Sago, which honestly is to die for. But recently, the last three times Ive gotten it, it has been poor quality. And by big fan, i mean ive been going here since 2021 getting this. Their milk tea is very mid, which is unfortunate from a boba shop. Their matcha is good. Creme brulee isnt like other shops, its more of a cream cheese type cold foam topping. Theres no burning of the sugar (at least in the matcha or oreo brulee). I take people here because its way better than sharetea, the only other boba shop in shanghai. But what really did it for me is I came in on May 17th around 2ish pm. Me and my three other friends were amongst two other people in the store when we walked in. 1 of those people in line paying. The worker has seen us walked in together because they GREETED us. And if the excuse is they just say that to everyone they dont comprehend whos walking in 1) thats a safety hazard 2) how inauthentic for a mom and pop shop. I worked 10 yrs in customer service -- its not that hard. We get in line. My friends are very obviously talking to each other because its two of my friends first time. Theyre asking for drink recommendations. Okay, its my friends turn next. She orders. All normal. The worker goes to put the sticker on the line (or something similar). I ask my friend (keyword I ASK my friend), if I can have her points. She says sure. I start to put my phone number in on the screen after she paid. The worker comes back and is like hold on. Here is where I would give grace. She couldnt thought i was getting the last person's points (which I dont know why that matters or has anything to do with the worker or how they are paid or how they are treated as a worker of this establishment) so I clarified. I said, its okay, the LAST CUSTOMER is my friend. She looks at me, HEARS ME, then cancels the screen so I CANNOT put my phone number in. Then she proceeds to say "what?" I said, the LAST CUSTOMER is my friend. Im grabbing her points. She then says "Oh sorry, I thought you were taking the last customer's points." FOR THE FINAL TIME, I REPEATED, "Yes. Thats exactly what im doing. This is my friend." And she doesnt say anything and just calls for the next person. So now she makes it so AWKWARD and weird to even be in the store, when I am arguing with this service worker in front of my friends. I miss out on 15 points. Why would she change the screen if Im talking to her? Why would she clear the screen? Why wouldnt she offer the 5 points? Just really unfortunate and had no self awareness. Dont get me wrong, there are some very sweet people here. But overall, for as long as Ive been coming here, definitely better places like Pink Cactus. The absolute kindest people youll meet. I love Tea Maison because they do some specialty drinks very well, like the popular mango pomelo sago. My favorite thing is that they add crystal boba in it and also comes in an XL (1 liter) size. The super fruit cup is also great on a hot day, which is often in Vegas. I get it 50% or less sweet because sugar only makes me more dehydrated. My other usual is the brulee taro milk if I want something creamy and richer. I have never tried their more standard bubble tea options. Their service is also super friendly. Sometimes I find them TOO friendly and makes the order line slower because they're chatting with each customer. The main reason I took off a star is because the store is small. It's not a big deal but they tell you to wait for your order outside because of the tiny space. Although that makes sense so you don't crowd the shop, it is also 110+ degrees outside. They use an intercom speaker to announce your order number when it is ready and when you're inside the store, it is near deafening. It's a small price to pay for yummy drinks, I suppose. read more

They had an extensive menu of milk teas, fruit teas and specialty drinks. The cashier was super nice and helped us in giving recommendations for drinks. I ended up going with the super fruit tea with lychee jelly, while my boyfriend got the mango pomelo sago drink. The super fruit tea was so refreshing and one of my favorite combination fruit teas that I have tried. They had fresh fruits and I really enjoyed the passion fruit jam they used that had real seeds. The mango sago drink was also really good and fresh. I loved how it wasn't too sweet and had the right amount of sago.
