Very cute bubble tea spot in Ktwon right next to Grace street! Compared to the other spots in the area, this one is very cute and focuses and the packaging.There is always a line but it moves very fast. Something very unique about this place is that there is a soda selection. This is not very common. The flavors are very fun and refreshing like the cherry blossom. I am a bubble tea junkie - there, I said it. If it were up to me, I'd have one every day, any day! Now that I have spoken my truth - I can tell you this place is awesome! During our 3 day stay in Chelsea this summer, I was here everyday - that's how much I loved this place :) While I don't like to go uber fancy with my bubble tea, my all time favorite is a fresh fruit tea - I loved their mango, pineapple and peach flavors. They were super nice about dialing down the sugar to just 10%, light ice etc. The service was quick and mostly friendly (one time it was super snappy, but I chalked it to an early am- i-have-not-yet-had-caffeine kinda vibe from our order taker). The order was always made quick and my overall experience just had me coming back every day. Ragz loved their sparkling/ fresh soda series - he tried Lychee and peach and pronounced them both awesome. Whenever I am back in NYC, I will likely be seeking them again. I was I visited in NY on May 7th 2022 and stop on this place to get some teas. The cashier took order was very nice but the person made the teas was very rude. I did not order the drinks but my daughters did. One of my daughter asked about the Avocado smoothies id they use the really fruit or powered ? the cashier turn around to wait for the lady answer my daughter question. Instead saying we use fruit only she did not said it and she got angry and louder talk to one of my daughters. Very refreshing and mildly sweet drink. The staff were friendly and patient as I decided my order. The pearls are definitely on the smaller side, but very chewy and nice. New bubble tea spot in Koreatown! I got the grass jelly bubble tea, and the tea, bubbles, and grass jelly were all good. Some of the bubbles stuck together at the end, but otherwise it was one of the better bubble teas I've had recently. Cashier was nice and the drink was made quickly. Based on their menu, it looks like they have a Lactaid milk tea option for those who are lactose intolerant, which is nice. Some of their drinks also come in a cute panda cup. **Boba Princess Approved** My first boba milk tea shop in NYC! It was nearby NYU and in KTown so I definitely had to try it. My NYU friends also mentioned good things about Macao and it was worth the fun trip. Located in the heart of KTown, my friends and I bused here and coincidentally, it was the day of the Korean Festival! There were a bunch of booths and an outdoor stage with multiple acts of dancing, singing, theater, etc. It was super busy and I was star-eyed in the big shiny city. Macao Imperial Tea is a take-out booth and there was of course a line. It was a warm day and boba milk tea was the perfect way to end the day. I ordered the Oolong Tea Cheese Foam in the cute white glass bottle! It was $8 total, but worth it as I took my souvenir cup home and still use it to this day. The tea and foam were delicious and bold but the boba pearls left more to be desired in terms of sweetness. Drink itself was 3.5/5 but the cute cups, fun experience, and friendly staff bumped my review to a 4 stars. All in all, a solid choice for boba. I get tired sometimes of chain stores like Gong Cha or Sharetea. Macao is lesser known brand to me and it was fun trying something new. Cheers! read more

Maybe it was because I tried this place pretty early on after it opened, but I wasn't particularly a fan. Their branding is cool though? I had some grapefruit drink, which was decent but it's not really worth the price when there's countless other places for cheaper drinks nearby. My friend tried a different drink based on the staff's recommendation, and while I can't remember the specific name for it, we were both confused with what came out since we ordered from the same section of the menu but mine was tea and hers was more of a slush. The employees were also clearly confused with the whole preparation process, but again I did visit not too long after it opened so that's understandable and I hope they've gotten better by now. It might be worth trying once since their drinks are photogenic, but I don't see myself becoming a regular. read more

I walked up to this window in K-town looking for a boba drink the other day. Other places have gotten me hooked on brown sugar milk tea, and when I saw it on their menu I knew that was what I was getting. First time at a new spot I always do 100% ice and sugar, just to see what their standard is. This drink really hit all the marks. Delicious, sweet, tender yet chewy boba, a great brown sugar tea taste, not too much or too little ice... man. So good! And there was the perfect boba to tea ratio, neither too much nor too little. It was also a pretty reasonable price point, about $6.50 for the large. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely stop by and try another one of their creations- the blue one looks awesome! read more

Another bubble tea gem in the city with what I think is one of the best cheese foams I've tasted so far. Located on 32nd street in the heart of Ktown NYC, this little stall boasts quite a bit of variety in terms of flavor. I don't know what it's like on the weekdays but when we came on a Sunday afternoon, there was a little bit of a line. came here the other day with my friends because while everything on this street in ktown had lines going down the block, this place had only two people so we thought why not. i also heard about it from my sister and she said that it was popular on tiktok. i got the lychee and the mango. lychee was nothing special but the MANGO!? oh my, it was so creamy and light at the same time i was left speechless! i seriously drank that in less a minute and that's me holding back! if you're a fan of mango cream or the mango mango store, i highly recommend getting their mango tea. It's been such a consistently enjoyable experience I no longer patron other shops unless I'm in the area after this store is already closed and catch a bubble tea craving. (Machi Machi & Grace Street I give you both credit where it is due). It's a storefront only but with consistently delicious product so I'm happy to take my drinks to-go. Not sure who the managers are (I come on diff days so the staff isn't always ppl I'm familiar with) but they are doing a good job and make the owner look good. We came here because the bubble tea joint across the street ran out of bubbles, so we gave this place a try. What a bad idea it was. We ordered a HOT jasmine tea with bubbles, 30% sugar, with a cold green tea with bubbles, 30% sugar. We received our order and left the place, unfortunately, before we had the chance to taste our drink. My HOT tea was room temperature at best and they gave us the cold green tea with 100% sugar. There is a huge abundance of drink places now. I love "super fruit green tea" drinks and sadly my favorite place has shut down and I've been on the hunt for a new one. This place is the closest to the original that I've found. The "Macao fresh fruit tea" is really delicious and I like to let it sit in the fridge for awhile to let all the flavors infuse. It gets really potent to the point that you can dilute it with water because it's very fruity/sweet. Unfortunately, the sugar is preset but if you ask they can somehow lower it for you. And they don't skimp on the fruit - lime, orange, mango, strawberries, pineapples, passion fruit etc etc , it's a fruit salad after your drink. For $7.08 after tax it better be good, lol. read more

As I traveled randomly in NYC in the area of Koreatown, I stumbled upon the 39th Korea party and festival in the city. I walked around the neighborhood and found this little tea shop. I would say it is pretty decent, as the tea and service is as good as other tea shops, but nothing stood out to me the most. I ordered the regular milk tea with foam cheese, and it is pretty good, but again you can get the same quality of milk tea at any other tea shops in the area. I love the fact that they are pretty cheap, 5 bucks for large milk tea, and they accept credit card. So it's convenient for any travelers.
