What we ordered: - Happy Drink - Passionfruit pulp and strawberry puree with shaken rose peach tea - Brown Sugar Thai Milk Tea - Signature Taro Root Milk Tea I was highly disappointed with my drinks here. Based on the great reviews everyone in my party decided to give it a try since we were in the area instead of going to one of our tried and true places. Big mistake, we got 3 drinks and none of them were good. I almost never throw away food/drinks but we literally threw them out basically full. My husband who is not picky at all wouldn't even drink it, which says a lot. It also took us awhile to get our drinks. It's understandable because this is in the Chelsea market and there is a lot of people/foot traffic there but it didn't look that busy at the time. I'm hoping it was a fluke and that maybe it's better than the experience we had but it's not likely that I'll be back.

After looking through the photos of the matcha drinks here.. I was hesitant to order due to the shade of green. However I decided to get the delicious-sounding "brown sugar matcha milk tea" as I knew the syrup would be a good flavor and my drink craving would be satisfied. I was right as the matcha tasted alright (almost nonexistent?) for me but the milk (oat milk) taste was there. I don't think I tasted brewed tea either. The boba however was made exceptionally well and was perfectly soft and chewy. I asked for light boba but I later felt like I should have kept the normal portion. Pros are the boba and the fact that it was refreshing, but I didn't want to finish the rest. Located INSIDE Chelsea Market, on the lower level, all the way in the corner across from the restrooms and is inside of an Asian goods store. *They also have a rewards program to get free birthday drinks. *$8 for a large drink with boba

Took awhile to find! It's hidden inside a small grocery store on the lower level. I got a Thai tea with boba and enjoyed it. A little expensive compared to some other boba places and not as good as some others in the city. doesn't give as much boba, and the are a little on the firm side. They left out the jelly in my friend's drink. But they did fix that.

Tea & Milk at Chelsea Market is pretty good! They offer a great variety of teas, from classic favorites to fruity blends. Their roasted oolong milk tea is good but does not stand out to other competitors. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy yet busy, making it a nice spot to grab a drink and shop.

I ordered the brown sugar matcha milk tea with boba. The boba was very fresh and the perfect texture. The milk tea itself was a bit sweeter at 100% sweetness but very delicious! The staff was very nice and I got my drink very quickly. The location is a bit hard to find as it is downstairs on the lower level tucked away with some other food spots. I will definitely be returning!

Located on the lower floor of Chelsea market inside the Asian supermarket, Tea and Milk is a cute boba stall. They have a variety of milk tea and fruit tea drinks, as well as some coffee options. Service was kind and quick. I ended up ordering the Jasmine green milk tea with grass jelly and it was delicious. I got 30% sweetness and it was so light and refreshing, while still satisfying my craving for milk tea. Would definitely stop by again if I'm in the area!

I got the earl gray tea with the cream. 50% sweetness, low ice. It still tasted too sweet for me, and the cream made it feel like a dessert. I wasn't a fan, but this might be more enjoyable for someone with a big sweet tooth. Service was very friendly and patient in getting my order in. There was only one other person in line, and we both got our orders alone at the same time. Fast and efficient. The store is located inside the Asian food market on the lower level.

Fire boba. This was my second time ordering from Tea and Milk, and the boba was just as great as the first. I came with some of my students on a field trip, and all of them really enjoyed their drinks, too. I ordered the classic black milk tea w/ boba; the boba was perfectly chewy, and I could taste the tea in the drink. The only thing I wished was different was the price. For a regular black milk tea w/ boba, $7 was pretty steep in my opinion. Overall though, I would recommend, and I would keep going to this place.

Small boba stall nestled inside Pearl Food Mart in the downstairs Chelsea Market. Boba was surprisingly chewy and had a good texture. The tea lacked a bit of depth to it and honestly wasn't anything special. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient.

A small boba shop nestled in the lower level of Chelsea Market and inside another store. The boba is actually decent. I was surprised to get actual chewy boba. The place only has 1 worker so it isn't so how long you wait varies based on luck? I was behind a group for 6 tourist so I had quite the wait.

This store is located on the lower level of Chelsea Market, so basically basement level. I've been coming to this location for 3 years now and there boba never disappoints! It's always soft and chewy which I love because I know it's made fresh. I noticed they added a new purple rice topping, it's a sweet rice similar to a "arroz con leche" (rice pudding). Not too sweet at all which is perfect! The service is still sweet and helpful, I enjoy making small conversations with the barista's. I get my usual brown sugar matcha with 50% sweetness, you can never go wrong with that

We were wandering around Chelsea Market and decided to get some bubble tea. I tried my classic go to flavor for when trying out a new spot, the classic black tea with boba. We enjoyed our drinks and went on our way.

(Overall: A) - I had to return back to Tea and Milk with a friend after being impressed by the quality of their tea during a Yelp Elite event. This time I went for the Rose and Peach Tea, which had subtle floral and fruit notes to help build complexity to the tea flavor without overpowering in an impressive way. This boba shop is reasonably prices, especially given its Chelsea Market location, and the staff raise the bar in helpfulness and friendliness. Highly recommend. This location is accessible via A train at 42nd Street Port Authority. Upon arriving there was a woman in front of me arguing with the staff persistently haggling the price to be lowered, but to no avail. Woman, no means no! There are other bubble tea businesses within the locale that may appease your needs, but not this particular Gong Cha whom apologized for the inconvenience of the inability to lower the price on the product ordered. As I waited patiently, I took photos of this business' environment. The staff stated the cash register is not working and currently unable to accept either credit or debit cards, but cash only payments. Ergo, I was unable to obtain a sales receipt nor a drink label printed. I wonder if the staff reboot the register or check their internet connection to be offline as the cause of non-functioning O/O/O. [1] Customer service is average. Well... if the staff can lower the price for one customer why not lower it for ALL customers? Surely, why not make my drink order as inclusion for lowering the price, please? Hell no, of course not! The conclusion was ironclad. In the real world, this cannot happen. As I stood on line waiting for this woman to let go and walk away from her argument I had shrunk to my own gnawing thoughts. I took photos of the atmospheric environment. There is a cute signage: "Bubble tea where refreshment meets creativity." The pink metal water bottle is very adorably cute which is something that I would certainly purchase. Peach green tea, medium $7.25 My favorite default topping grass jelly (aka herbal jelly) loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my standard request for $0.75 which was good, but not served chilled. At 30% sugar level request, it was slightly higher in sugar content. Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg would shake his head at me in disbelief with disapproval and disappointment for consuming this excessively sugary drink. The peach green tea was not the cause of the sweetness but a man-made sugar embed measurement error. Nevertheless, this Gong Cha satisfied my bubble tea fix as it is now my addiction - in addition to my other addiction, writing. [1] O/O/O = Out Of Order

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items. Takeout menus are available for grabs. Loyalty card is available which also serve as business card where the back is printed in gold foil. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit at Port Authority 42nd Street's A, C, E trains and buses near the peripheral of Times Square.
