My older sister recommended me to stop here as she recently relocated to the area. I love anything involving tea! I've been here twice so far. I've gotten the naked grass skirt and the coconut grass skirt. Both are really delicious and perfect for hot days. I like how it wasn't too sweet but you can also still taste the matcha. I have to say I LOVE this little shop! The two ladies working were so easy to talk to, they greeted us at the door and offered to answer any questions we had. The displays were sooooo aesthetically pleasing, easily an instagram worthy photo op. The oils and body sprays smelled amazing. Although I didn't purchase any body oils, sprays, etc... I am a huge coffee person and asked about their coffees! I ordered their Brown Cow blended coffee (could be frappe.. I forgot), and the caramel vanilla iced coffee (I forgot the name) for my sister. I really enjoyed my blended coffee. The iced coffee lacked a little flavor in comparison, I guess it wasn't as sweet as I preferred. It also hadn't occurred to me until my sister pointed it out: the coffee has a hint of berry flavor. She insisted she could taste a hint of raisin and stopped drinking her drink. I noticed in my blended coffee as well, but I kind of liked it, even though it wouldn't be my preference. I guess that's my fault for not asking about the coffee they brew! The employees seemed like they don't know what they are doing. It took them incredibly long to prepare my order which was basic tea and a ready made, boxed lemonade. The store was not crowded at all, yet the employees were looking exhausted with no enthusiasm to work. Depressed, frowning faces moving as slow as possible. The lemonade they serve comes from a concentrate bottle, not even close to home made. The atmospheres so unwelcoming. Such a great idea and a cute shop front in an eager downtown. So sad to see how it is wasted. Needs some good vibes, dynamic employees, and simple fresh refreshing drinks. read more

Up until December 2021, I was a very loyal customer to Tea Xotics since it opened. In fact, for last Christmas I had purchased 90% of all of my gifts, including gifts for my staff, from there. My daughter had gone in to purchase a gift certificate from there for me for Christmas. One of the three owners had said something very unkind and my daughter told me about this. I thought it was a simple misunderstanding so I went in to talk to an owner. It was a very disturbing discussion. When I asked to speak to one of the owners in private, she explained quite loudly that, " If you have something to say that can't be said here in front of everybody then maybe you shouldn't say it at all." So, I began to explain my concern in front of about 10 other customers and I was told, "We are short-staffed today. Will this take long?" When I explained my concern, I was asked, "Do you even work?" While I'm not sure what that had to do with my concern, I said that I do work every day as an administrator for a health care facility. The final comment that told me that talking with her it was an act of futility was when she said, "I am done with you. From now on, why don't you just go to Target and do your shopping as they are more in line with what you are." So, I left and I have not returned. While I fully believe in supporting local businesses, this interaction is still disturbing two months later. So, I think I will stop by Target for some fancy soap and humankindness! I wanted to like this place so much but the children who were working were HORRIBLE. Never did they greet me, as I was waiting for about 10 minutes while they were on their cellphones talking to each other, I started looking at the teas on the rack unit. I picked one up to read it, and the girl at the desk said " excuse me, your not allowed to touch that " and went back into her phone instead of assisting me with anything. Very disappointed and felt very un welcomed. Very hostile environment lol. They must've both been having a bad day. But that's all it takes for me to not support the business :) read more

Off the bat, it's a pretty pricey place for me. I'm not a tea connoisseur so I guess I didn't realize that teas are so expensive. But this place is so pretty. Everything is packaged really well. The ladies are so helpful and patient and friendly. I ended up buying a rose salve, a bag of tea, a moon milk powder thing and got a hot chai tea to drink. One of the ladies gave me a tester tea to try to thank me for my patience because they were very busy there. It seems like they have a lot of loyal customers based on the way they greeted them. I love this place! The tea is amazing- BUT every time I get a tea the lid leaks and the tea stains whatever I'm wearing. They fill it so full then the cheap cups leak. Please get better cups and lids! Other than that, it is lovely! read more

I was very excited to shop in the store this morning. Hoping to find some gifts for my mom. I was even more excited when I realized if they had things than tea. After just a couple minutes in the store looking around one of the employees popped her head out from behind the cash wrap to say hi and that's when I noticed that she was wearing a crystal mesh facemask. When I looked and saw that the other employees were wearing similar facemasks I walked out. Absolutely appalling that these people would put their customers at risk. Such a bummer. this is another bump into place by accident. I'm here for the farmer's market. i like parking in the back of the main drag (town center street?). there was another small event/meet up in the back that weekend so i was sort of forced to drive up town center. i spotted 'tea' and someone go in...bad for me (i did a crazy flip around and found parking after another car left). Wow, this place has balsamic too. anywho, tea was in the back (depending which way one enters). i walked out with an assortment of tea preparation thing & a cup of special blend black tea. i loved that hint of blueberry. my next visit...more accoutrements, a larger cup of tea (& a good sized bag of this loose leaf blend) and a scone. hopefully my stash will cover me till spring or when market starts up again. read more

I have been a regular customer of Tea Xotics for some time and was surprised to hear that they offer private tea parties. The 3 courses (appetizers, finger sandwiches, and desserts) were deliciously paired up with two kinds of teas at each course. To my surprise, they even took into consideration sharing my favorite types of teas to my guests. All I can say is "de-lish"!!! My guests were in awe of this tea shop and it's lovely decor. Many love and thanks to Renee and Amy for making my 50th birthday "par-tea" even more memorable. I highly recommend this place for special occasion gatherings or even for a daily visit. Made a quick stop on the way back home from Tahoe in search of a coffee spot that is different from your average starbucks or peets. Anyhow, the lady who assisted us was very pleasant and informative as she explained her different coffees/teas. Loved the presentation of the location as well as it put me in awe of the many selections. I got the cold brew, my wife got some chocolate brown drink and my daughter the hawaii 5-0 iced tea. Anyhow, we all love our drinks and the drinks and love this spot was different. I am a big coffee drinker/person so I am very picky (just like hardcore wine drinker). I've only been here once but I can say that I am a fan and would come back. They have a nice menu and can adjust things for you according to want you need which was really kind of the staff. They have things for everyone depending on how sweet you like things and whether you like fruity things or richer flavors. They also some treats which looked really delicious, although I didn't try one. Other than drinks and treats the have lots of tea, coffee, smudging sticks and "natural gifts". I was surprised by the plethora of cute things they had. I would go just to by what they had in their shop on the side. Wonderful little place! The staff is incredible friendly and engaging, and they sell a wide variety of products. You can stop in and get a tea (I love the snow white!) And then browse through everything else while you drink. They sell packaged teas, bath products, kitchenware... It's a really nice shop. The service is extremely friendly but it's obvious that it's still a new place trying to get in the flow. There is no wifi but there are a few spots at the bar and some tables so you can stay to sip on a variety of drinks and some sweets as well. There are teas of all kinds and amazing hot chocolate that is actually dairy free! There is also olive oil and vinegars to sample that are unique and flavorful, and goodies to be purchased from bath bombs to tea sets. I've only been in this shop a couple times and their products are really cute. Before the pandemic, I also tried their matcha and it was great. Today I went in with my boyfriend expecting all standard health procedures to be followed. When we entered, none of the employees were wearing masks. I thought that was strange since at my own job we're required to until business hours are closed. I noticed they decided to put on masks after we hung out in the shop for a few minutes. But then I noticed they were wearing MESH FACE MASKS. I was thinking about ordering their chai today but I was so concerned about their disregard of COVID-19 that I just decided I'd rather not risk it. Really disappointing to see the owners allow their employees to wear mesh face masks of all things. If you see them, they're rhinestone face masks but if you look at their face you can clearly see their mouth through the mask. I would be less concerned if they didn't also prepare and serve food, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to report this to the health department. read more

I visited for the first time today; didn't know it was in town center until I drove by! I enjoyed a delicious matcha green tea with coconut milk. I also enjoyed browsing their selection of homemade, locally-made, chemical-free bath products and candles. I bought a soy pumpkin-scented candle (which I'm burning now), and maple/cinnamon local honey, which I just used on warm, buttered toast. Lovely on this rainy afternoon! The staff was friendly and down-to-earth. Prices are akin to a local, gourmet shop, but worth it. This store is a good option for buying locally-made holiday gifts! Fantastic little shop with an amazing array of teas, vinegars, oils and gifts. One thing I love is that it's not just a retail location, it's also a cafe! So you can go there when you need to bring tea home, or when you need a fix RIGHT AWAY. I had the absolute best pumpkin spice chai latte of my life there.
