My sister came in for an oil change and 10 minutes later she told me she was getting charged $500! Unbelievable! So I drive up to the dealership. I went in and talked the lady that was helping my sister and asked what was being charged. She told me that the car needed all the fluids changed, filters replaced and a bunch of other stuff that didn't make sense. I asked her if she even checked the fluids or checked if the filters needed to be changed and she just stared at me with a blank expression. I told her to cancel everything and to just do the oil change. She told me that it's too late and that all the fluids have been changed already and she can't stop it. It's been less than 15 minutes and she's telling me that all the fluids have been replaced?? I asked to speak with the manager but she told me that the manager was busy and she would just call me back while my sister and I grab coffee. 15 minutes go by and no call. I decided to go back to the dealership. she told me that she made "an executive decision" to give us all the services for free except for the oil change. The lady assisting us didn't know what she was talking about and lied about doing a proper checkup. Maybe train the staff to lie a bit better. Overall very bad experience and I do not recommend anyone coming to this dealership for service. If you want the scammy car dealership nostalgia of the 90s then I highly recommend coming to this place. read more

I purchased a Mazda for my son over a year ago. On my closing statement, they added a missing owners manual listed at $130. value which I have yet to receive after dozens of requests. Clearly no customer service once you walk out the door. Khashayar Elmi was my salesperson and Ryan Payne is his manager. Both are in need of customer service 101 training. Spending north of $25K you would expect much more out of a dealership. Very disappointing and unprofessional. Sending me a 164 page .pdf of the manual is a complete joke. read more

I had a FANTASTIC experience at Team Superstores today when I took my 2016 Mazda CX-3 in for an oil change today! Service Advisor Danny Keen was welcoming, professional, and a true pleasure to work with! I just moved to Marin County a week ago and had a two year free oil change EasyCare Maintenance deal with the dealership in Ohio. While Danny couldn't honor my contract with that dealership (disappointing, but understandable), he did take the time to call about it to see what kind of a contract it was, just in case it was something he could honor (if you're in Ohio, DO NOT buy a car from Jeff Schmidt Auto Group. They're awful and clearly don't care about their customers after the deal is done and they have your money). I will ABSOLUTELY return to Team Superstores (Mazda) for any service my car needs, even though it's a bit of a drive. My car was returned to me at the time they estimated, and they even washed it (after a 3.5 day drive from Ohio, it seriously needed it!!). And I cannot say enough about Danny Keen! I went to team to go "look" at a car I found online. I had little intention on buying that day then up walks Billy, he was very friendly and showed me a few cars I was interested in. I told Billy what I needed in a car and he pointed me to the Mazda CX-5, I had never thought about a Mazda before but after seeing this car, it fit all of my needs. We headed into the office to start the paperwork and as I'm sitting there I'm thinking, I hope this doesn't take all night. To my surprise Jason in the back office for on the phone with the bank and Before I knew it I had bought a new car (now renamed storm trooper by my boys). I purchased a CX 5 for a relative at this dealership during the Labor Day weekend. I had the pleasure to deal with Terry Moy. Terry is the ultimate professional. He is knowledgeable, honest, friendly and personable. The color was not available here but he found 3 in the Bay Area. He kept me informed of the status in transferring the car to Vallejo. He informed me promptly when it arrived. He went through all the bells and whistles of the car. Since this car was for a relative, he made himself available through text, email and phone for any questions. I also met Joe, sales manager, and he too was friendly with a sense of humor. There was no pressure to purchase the car. Upon purchasing there was a slight delay in finance understandably since this being the Labor Day weekend. A few days later, I received a call from Erica of the dealership to ask if I had any concerns or questions regarding the experience. She was quite sincere and responsive in any questions and issues I had. She emailed me for any follow up. I want to thank Terry for the world class service and the dealership for a very positive experience. Service 12/26/2019 TWO STARS I made an appointment with the service dept due to the maintenance light for first service at 4300 miles. The service dept representative was not customer friendly. I asked if the first maintenance was complimentary since the car was purchased here and it only has 4300 miles. He stated it would cost $144.99 to service it. He had a take it or leave it attitude. I left. My Daughter (she drives it) brought it to Dublin, Mazda. They said since there was no problems they reset the maintenance light to 7500 miles for first maintenance. There was no charge since the CX 5 was fairly new. The car will be serviced in Dublin henceforth. The customer service at the Vallejo service department was very disappointing. After calling around for each local Mazda dealers in the area, this is the only one that they promised to to have my car running in the same day. Let alone accept to work on my car last minute. OK here's my story I drive a Mazda rx8 Going to work noticed my car was driving funny, As soon as I get on i80 the car had no power. Owning a previous rx7 before, I knew what to expect. either my spark plugs are fouled or my engine just died on me... So I'm sitting in my car calling around while waiting for the tow truck. And the service rep said to me "Oh your getting your car towed in?.... no problem just bring it in and we will take a look at it and with the diagnostics fee will be set in to the repairs" unlike Oakland's Mazda... where that is separate. Although the price of the parts where more expensive than online for the same things but its a given since I was at the dealership. first 45 mins in at the waiting room, Service rep walks in and asked me if I'd like to go with the repairs which was a failing ignition coil which fouled up my spark plug. So I said Ok go with the repairs. 3 hours later car was washed and running like it was fresh off the line. Also they suggested a transmission flush and diff flush which i can do at home =]. I was very satisfied with the customer and service rep communication. Very professional and also with a sense of humor. Waiting room is very nice Direct TV and having the freedom to changing the channels. Complementary Snacks and coffee while you wait. Its a big dealership to walk around and test drive cars around. Very friendly and being a new Mazda dealership the service tech apparently knows what he is doing with a rotary engine. Dealership = Credit card $$$ payments lol but getting my car running and being able to work a closing shift at work during the same day was excellent. Just wish they wouldn't charge SOOO MUCH for just labor. 500 bucks JEEEZUS! for something that could of taken only 2 hours? But its A-OK with me when you need something this crucial for my cars engine health. read more

Yikes...short and sweet: attempted to call Mazda service around 9:30 am on a Tuesday to schedule an appointment and go over pricing. Nice receptionist answered and transferred me over.....to a line that just kept ringing for 5 minutes. I disconnected, recalled the line, same nice receptionist. Explained the situation, she placed me on hold while trying to contact them herself. A minute later she very honestly said she couldn't get a hold of them but would walk down there herself if I wanted her to. There's your 2 stars Team Superstores, for having a very caring and customer service friendly receptionist who offered to go above and beyond. I cannot think of any reason to not pick up a phone and at least give an explanation and offer to call someone back, especially in the service industry. Is 9:30 am too early for that? Well, I did do some research to prove a point and 3 different Mazda dealerships in the bay area managed to bring a service advisor on the phone within 3 rings. Two gave me the information I needed and one asked to get my information so he could call me back since they were short staffed for the day. I think this justifies why I've NEVER bought or serviced my vehicle in Vallejo even though I've lived here for years. Looks like I'll be planning a day trip to San Jose! I'll gladly pay toll and put miles on my car to get good quality service. read more

I went in on Sept. 15 looking for a new car to replace my 2009 Scion TC. The salesman who helped me, Tony Woods, was super chill. He let me hop in a 2016 Mazda 3 for a test drive. We took the car through the twists and turns of Lake Herman Road and out on the freeway. I want to say the car pretty much sold itself, but that wouldn't be giving any credit to what a great job Tony did pointing out all the features on the Mazda 3. In no way did I feel pressured to make a deal. I did go to other dealerships that day, but no other car -- and dealership -- impressed me that much. I came back to Team Superstores that same afternoon and Tony was able to get me a good price on that Mazda 3. There were some rebates I didn't even know about, which helped knock the price down a bit more. While my paperwork was being prepared, Tony took me on a tour of the area and introduced me to pretty much a who's who of people working at the dealership. The fact the company president and vice president would take time out of their busy days to greet a new car buyer really makes a customer feel welcome and "part of the family." My experience at Team Superstores was top-notch. The staff are attentive and more than willing to work with you on a deal that's satisfactory for everyone. What happens with you drive to a remote dealership to buy a car with your four year old daughter? Well when I went to Team Hyundai in Vallejo it was a great experience. My wife did not come, as she was recovering from a knee injury. I had spoken with them on the phone several times to confirm they had the exact vehicle in stock (Hyundai Santa Fe, SE with AWD), with the right interior color and it was ready to go. We agreed on a price via phone (a great deal I might say!) and made an appointment to come buy it. When I arrived the Santa Fe was right out in front waiting for me. A very through inspection on both the interior and exterior and a test drive and we were happy with the vehicle. Now I did work with several people at Team Hyundai of Vallejo, but never once did I feel like I was being passed from one salesman to another. I hate to say it, but they really do work as a team. No one tried to up sell me, no one tried the "let me ask my manager", there were no hidden fees or broken promises and none of my time was wasted. The dealership itself was a great place to visit. It is a large new building with double high spaces and large windows. You may wonder why I am commenting on the building, but after some of the other dark, crowded, understaffed and incomplete (signs on the floor, no brochures) dealerships it visited, it was nice to walk into a dealership and have a well lit, air conditioned space to look a display cars and buy my car. Now other parents of young will understand the next comment; they also have really really nice restrooms. When nature calls and your daughter does not like the restroom, well you then have a problem. Not at Team Hyundai of Vallejo, a new building makes for clean and happy bathrooms for your daughter. They have a lovely play area for children, where Amelia had a great time playing and walking around. The members of Team Hyundai of Vallejo were very nice to my daughter and when we left they had given her so many balloons we had to put down the third row seats to get them all in. What an extraordinary car buying experience. I was devastated to part with my Jeep but it was really not fitting into my 400 mile a week commute any longer. The team at Mazda Vallejo, specifically Kevin and Dale, made the process fast, easy and enjoyable. I told Kevin more than once that his knowledge, attention to detail and patience were awe inspiring. We came in a little frustrated and impatient from an experience at another DGDG closer to home that was so disappointing. We were also in a time crunch to pick a kid up from school 30 minutes away. This was a real concern for the team. The manager introduced himself and was present through the whole process. We were given waters routinely and walked through every step, even when i needed something repeated. I feel we got a fair deal on both the trade and purchase and i purchased the extended warranty which was an obviously good deal. I will send people your way guaranteed.
